Thanks, I just lost or had stolen my Bushnell (bummer) at a local course. That gives me pause to ask about these using an Apple Air Tag on the unit, probably a stupid idea. May be looking at the Precision Pro soon. You do a great job on your reviews, good luck with growing your audience.

I’m a few months late to the game for this video but after years of relying on my touch using just GPS on my Bushnell watch or Apple watch while every one else had a range finder in their bag I finally purchased one based on this video and my research. Looking forward to dialing in my wedge shots with this less expensive option. After this video and reasearch and can’t back spending more for a so called leading brand. It’s Cold on the east coast so i will chime in once i get a chance to get some rounds in.

How does this compare to the Cobalt Q-6 Slope Rangefinder. I watched another video where you highly recommended the Q-6. I would love to hear your opinion between the two.
I like my RGC NX9 but think I would prefer the better build quality. Always wanting more heft and feel from the NX9. Had been debating getting V5 shift or pro stabilized. I’ll try this one. Thanks.

I recently bought the NX10 Slope and very much like the functionality and how accurate it is.
But I absolutely hate the ergonomics and how slippery the whole thing is! I hate the customizable detachable cover thing! It just makes an already bulky device even bulkier! It will stay in the box. I could care a less about making a fashion statement with my range finder! I applied black Rubberized Grip Tape on the area where the cover was and a 2 inch wide strip on top and cut out hole where the buttons are. It is grippy and not so slippery anymore and looks great! They would have been better off to use the same chassis and design of the NX9
I wish I could post a photo of my NX10 after I ditched the magnetic cover and added Black Rubberized Grip tape. It looks awesome!

Man, you make it hard to pick on a rangefinder with these great reviews! Bravo sir! Nx10 or the BlueTees Series 3? Graphics aside, which do you prefer? They seem like solid budget competitors.
Yeah, both are fantastic. The Blue Tees is lighter and has an auto-ambient display. The NX10 is a bit beefier, and has the personalization aspect. So kind of depends on what you prefer when it comes to features. Accuracy is similar with both.

@@Metroidam11 I think build quality and reliability is better on the NX10. The Blue Tees wins in features and price. I personally lean towards the minimalist nature of the NX10, but the Blue Tees has more modes and an ambient display. So it really just comes down to what's important to you.
Just to add my $0.02 worth here. A couple of weeks ago I purchased the Blue Tees Series 3 Max, as it was highly touted by Breaking Eighty. I got it home and tried it on our course, and was unable to get a single reading on it. The display operated fine (nice display, BTW), but no matter how often I pressed the button it wouldn't give me a single yardage. I even had one of my playing partners, who has used rangefinders for years, give it a try. He was unable to get a reading with it either. So I returned the Blue Tees device to Dicks Sporting Goods.
Yesterday I purchased the NX10 at Golf Galaxy and like it already, although I've not yet tried it on the course. If I have issues with it on the course I'll update this accordingly.
@@Mhosborn Ah bummed to hear you had that experience with the Blue Tees. Obviously a defective model,, but still not something you want to have to deal with. But the NX10 is fantastic and a joy to use, so I have a feeling you'll be very happy with it. Keep me posted on your experience with it!

BREAKINGEIGHTY and CUSTOM still doesn't work but I did receive a reply from Precision Pro support. They said that although the codes didn't work, they would still honor the discount. I made the purchase and I'm waiting to see if they will credit me $20.
I'll report back if and when that happens.

purchased the blue tees 3 TWICE. 1st one came with a crack on the lens and 2nd had the laser exposed around the ring with inaccurate readings. Just returned my bushnell v5, it was randomly picking up different distances and the battery cover kept popping out. My luck receiving refurbished products. Maybe coming across your video was a sign that this is the one? HA HA! What’s your opinion on it against the regular v5?
Has anyone used the V6 shift and the Precision Pro NX10? After watching both this review and the one on the NX10 I am torn between the two.
great review as always I own the nx7 for years and considering upgrading to the nx10 Would you know the cost of putting a logo on the sleeve of this rangefinder I would probably get a logo of all my favorite professional teams
That's a good question, and I'm not 100% sure. I believe the solid colors are $10 and the special designs and limited editions are $20. The hard part about a professional team is the rights to the logos. As far as I know, Precision Pro doesn't have the rights to be able to use those logos, so they probably cant print them. My guess is at some point soon, we'll see the ability to get these with logos, but I'm not sure where that stands right this second.

What’s better The precision R1 or the NX10??
As far as Optix Quality, and viewing size? Is the NX10 better than the NX9 Slope, I went to purchase the NX9 Slope the other day and saw they had a new model with the NX10 so I opted not to get the NX9, but as far as the optix quality how does it compare to the NX9? Is it better?Also how does it compare to the Bushnell Pro XE? Info on this would be great thanks!
The optics are a big step up on the NX10 over the NX9. Really solid magnification, and the minimal design of the display makes it much easier to read and more enjoyable to use. It has a similar weight to the pro XE, but build quality is still a step below. Speed and accuracy is similar on both, both have a built in magnet. And the NX10 is half the price. Is the Pro XE better? Yes, I think so. Is it WAY better? Definitely not. In most cases I'd go for the NX10.
IF you really want something with higher build quality, I'd take a look at the Cobalt Q6 Slope.
Awesome thank you for elaborating on all of that, and by the way your videos and reviews are top notch, exceptional, and plain and simple just profesional you break everything down, very informative and the video quality makes it a joy to watch, there just awesome.One last thing im sure the Bushnell Pro XE optics are better, I looked through one the other night and was blown away, but how much better are they to the NX10?
I know this video is a month old so I am hoping you get the notification for this. What is the difference between the NX9 and NX10, besides the $10 difference?
The NX10 feels much sturdier and more well built. The optics are better providing a clearer image when using, and the display is much more minimal as well, doing a better job of quickly and easily giving you just the info you need (distance.)
I'd 100% go for the NX10.
I have Bushnell Tour V5 and it would never vibrate on the flag. It would vibrate on the trees around the flag though. Go figure! I might give this one a shot
This is excellent, but if your big concern is accurate vibration when locking onto the flag, then I probably wouldnt go NX10. It's excellent, and is my personal favorite under $300 - but that's my biggest complaint with it, it will vibrate when it ranges any distance, not just on the flag. So if that's a big deal to you, I'd consider the Cobalt Q-4 Slope in this price range.
@@breakingeighty yes I recall you sayin that in this review. I think I would be able to deal with that. With the tour V5. It would vibrate on everything but the flag. It was so odd. It’s a little annoying, it only works on any of the custom sleeves. It won’t work with just the plain white one.

What is the purpose of vibrating on "any" target? Im strugling to understand. Vibrating for "any" target doesnt teach me anything. For example, if I am aiming at the flag, and my hands are shaky, does the vibration mean it hit the flag or the tree behind the flag? Just showing distance teaches me it hit "something"... vibrating for "anything" doesnt teach me more...?

For the optics comparison I’d try to film videos through the finder and compare to other range finders.
I've thought about that, but honestly for as tricky as it would be to be able to get anything in there - the quality would be so low that it doesn't make a ton of sense. Could definitely do a better job of finding images that show the display layout though.

We think both are great units! It depends on what you're looking for. The NX10 offers amazing quality and unmatched customization. The R1 has some of the best smart features in golf! Both will help you elevate your game 🙌
I think it really depends on what you want. If you just want a straight up laser rangefinder, go with the nx10. The R1 has an added step of pairing with the app, but it generally works really well and the extra data is nice. So if you aren’t already using another gps system, or want it to be all in one the R1 is perfect for that. Personally, I’ll be using the NX10 in part because most of my rounds I’m reviewing some sort of Bluetooth tech product, so the nx10 will be simpler for my weirdly unique use case ha.
NX10 by far. Just ordered it and returned my R1. I just hate having to charge my rangefinder after 2 rounds. And I never remember to pair it to my phone before a round
