Suuuper cute! That is genuinely the cutest crazy quilting. It's generally not my thing, but you curated the fabrics beautifully. Hot tip: you can cut a drawstring in half and sew in a 4-6" piece of elastic. That's how I modify every single one of my son's sweatpants, so he doesn't have to undo them or struggle to extricate when using the bathroom.
That trick with the triple-channel waistband is so clever!!! Love this whole project, and these skirts are such a great way to make use of thrifted materials
Ghibli Witch! I can see this going in 2 ways: (1) take the essence of Ghibli and transform those into an outfit (2) take a character and put your own spin on them to transform into a witch outfit.
It's so exciting seeing you work with more intuitive processes with this project. Thanks for the tip about making a pattern for irregular/curved pieces in a patchwork.
The whole outfit is beautiful, but I still can't get over how stunning the stays are!!!! Also, I second the idea of a tech witch--I've never seen that before and think it would be really cool.
This whole outfit looks wonderful, seeing you have fun with it and not being super ridgid with design is a joy!! It would be super lovely to see a tour of the embroidery once you've finished, and talking about the different techniques.
Not only are you clearly fantastic seamstress, you are also so talented at videos because I usually have serious aversion to these asmr type videos, but I wait patiently for your sewing videos! Something avout them is so calming to me. The outfit came out great, I love the skirt so much - it's so cozy and beautiful. I like the wind in the reveal, feels very witchy and atmospheric :)
someone mentioned tech witch and i absolutely love that idea. either that or a potions witch for next year. love the idea of a patchwork skirt! but it gives me the vibes of a project that you work on and or build over time which is fitting for a cobweb witch
re: next years witch, it would be cool to see what your interpretation of a genuinely frightening witch would look like, but as i think about it, maybe that would come down more to make up choices than costume per se? idk, food for thought.
The skirt turned out so pretty! The extra skirts really do give that found in the attic vibe, very fitting for Cobweb Witch. What if you wore the skirt over the stays, so the embroidery is visible?
I thought about that but the waistband wasn’t pretty enough yet 😅 maybe I’ll add embroidery to the waistband too tho and then it can go on the outside!
I haven’t! I used to be really into steampunk in high school but kinda moved away from it after, I think the silhouettes weren’t really my favorite? I’ll have to take another look 👀👀👀
First off, holy crap that is a beautiful costume! Someone may have already said this, but what if you made a broom sheath that goes on your back, that way you can get your broom out of the way when you're not doing pictures but it still keeps the costume whole. You could do something similar for the hat via cute little straps that tie around your neck, and or for more comfort you could tie them around your bodice straps (to keep weight off your neck).
The raw edges and perhaps some more stains would make it read even more of 'forgotten attic covered in cowebbs'. From watching other youtube videos I have learned that crazy quilting is usually done over a backing fabric to begin with so the fabric usually overlaps at the edges, and then other layers are added to quilt it.
That turned out nice. 😊 For next year's Halloween, maybe one of the outfits from the new witch show Agatha All Along? There are quite a few to choose from. 🙂
Really love all of your designs!! 😍 They are very cute and all so unlike one another. I find the "making" part really soothing but the intro/outro is a lot more energetic. It a makes a bit of a disconnect in the vibe. I dont know if you appreciate this kind of comment, I just wanted to say it in a constructive way. Continue your awesome work 😊
I was with you in the stays video about preferring rounded tabs. But I have to say, with the patchwork skirt, the square tabs look awesome.
Ah thanks! I agree! It ended up working out for the better 😊

This was so fun! Especially the crazy quilting.

I really like the idea of the crazy patchwork skirt and even though it's not totally finished it looks fantastic
I always enjoy the costumes coming together, and I appreciate the way you show everything made.

this is honestly one of the prettiest projects I have ever seen!!

Well, my heck, that is absolutely adorable ❤
i love the silhouette of the entire outfit! such a great costume!
I’m biased but this might be the best thing you’ve made imo, I adore the silhouette on this piece.
I love this so much!
Love it, that looks really beautiful! You did a good job there and I like it! Really amazing!😮😍👍
This turned out FANTASTIC! I missed the 2 earlier videos, but will now go back & watch them !

You look so cute ❤

Hello I was wondering where you had got the iridescent white shimmer fabric room in this video
I’m not sure where it’s from, sorry!
Idea: Art Deco witch?
Did you get your rhinoplasty?
I got it about a year and a half ago 😊
