this is incredibly useful, for example when Russia attacks your power infrastructure, you can still utilize even the very little bandwidth you might have
Hey DT, how's the Moonlander keyboard? With all the options for unique key combinations, double taps and macros, I just know you'll have some spiffy settings that compliment DTOS. I'm watching 🕵
Cool, but Googler is useless if you're on a VPN. Google blocks those addresses, insisting on a Captcha, which is only available through a graphical browser.
Hey DT, 💯 Super useful video👍 What is Web Crawl? I heard about it but don't know what it is. How do you fact check from the terminal using 3wm or lynx? Can you show us how to connect to Public Libraries to and use their catalogues? Same thing for news feeds? Weather Please
Not necessarily true. If you hook one of these up to a keybinding + dmenu or something like that, it can be faster and less friction to just pop up a search bar right on the screen whatever you're doing.
some linux nerds are so insane they would prefer to view an image on terminal because it looks "cool" I guess. Is it that hard to launch your browser and type on the bar on top what you wanna search.
@@CodeEnthusiast78912 honestly depends. if im looking for a video or image yeah id just use the browser. but lets say I am in terminal and want to search something in the archwiki, well its all text so why not just use a terminal browser since I am already in term?
Over 20 years with Linux and I had never heard of surfraw. Linux is certainly a never ending learning experience.
Carbonyl, you should have used that for the GUI in terminal! It’s awesome, even plays YT in the terminal 👍
Browsh too
Ddgr is available also in BSD World. Very nice.
Awesome video. Brought back many memories. When I was using Linux without a GUI
Tried all of these other than the surfraw. Each of them is exceptionally helpful.

quirky randomness is only cute when you're hot
@@ahG7na4 i meant any power outage situation, plus maybe with a bit of an emergency
wow tldr is really good (for some reason i had to update before it showing any entry, but then it worked)
Keep up the good work
that indeed looks very useful. Thank you for the hints :)

But what about captcha?
Good video.

hey DT ... googler is archived project.......
thanks!
hey man-.... have you ever searched the web in the terminal... on weed??
So much easier to just search in your actual browser of choice!?

Of course it is better in GUI but so called Linux elitist will say otherwise
@@SouthFacedWindows agree
@@davidr2421 hmm, I don’t believe that. I do believe you get much more from using a GUI.
Use whatever you want, this video is just to show that other tools exist
well, didn't know you could do that ...
never underestimate the linux nerds hate for GUI's
Where you find a hate in this video?
please stop hating on the terminal
I see more hate for gui haters than I see actual gui haters lol
