Just found your videos. Thank you so much for this one in particular. I've had diabetes since age 9. I am 54 now. Only been on a insulin pump for 14 years. Apparently, I've always thought it was me who was so upset, frustrated, and SO DONE ,with my diabetes. But I'm not! So thank you for making me feel I'm not alone!
Wow, that's so sad how that affected you from age 4... I was diagnosed at 12 (now 30, dad to an almost 16 month old). I literally remember being read the jobs I "can't do" - I can't answer the telephone for the police but I CAN be a firefighter... Go figure how burning buildings affect hormone absorption! I'm currently running a small business with 4 staff but getting itchy feet - I keep looking at careers I "wasn't allowed" to do, and how I can get into them. Lorry driving, for instance. Would be a total PITA to get my license but I'm very tempted just because I want the challenge. Well done you, I bet you're an awesome Mum. You're literally healthier than 99.8%+ of the general public, I'm certain of that! Subbed and love the content
Thank you so much. I have Type 2 which, for me, was more self-inflicted as a teen, but i can really resonate on some levels and definitely feel the pressure. I currently don't have a provider because those I've had seemed very harsh/judgemental. Made me feel like I wouldn't make it if i didn't perfect self-control. But this has encouraged me to try again and look for someone who might encourage me further, rather than diminish all the trying I did do. Appreciate you sharing so much and your dedication to others.
Thank you as a Mom of my daughter in college..will share this with her, hard night last night with burnout and depersonalization issues. God bless you!
Thank you! I think you are truly amazing! I’ve been type 1 for 50 yes this December. It’s a continuous journey and I have so much gratitude that this disease IS treatable.
"the goal here is not the perfection" I just woke up this morning at around 3am feeling short of breath due to hypoglycaemia. So I got out of my bed to eat something and go back to sleep. I had to go to upstairs where the kitchen is..and lost my vision, and rolled all the way down back the stairs. Found myself bleeding 🩸 everywhere, depressed and still had to go to sleep for work. Thank you.
Good afternoon can you please tell me what type of watch you have?? I bought my son serie apple watch 3 but it get disconnected when hes far away from hes G6 sensor, I always watch all your videos I have wrote before on other videos but you havent reply back 😬🙄
Hi Vicki! I'm so sorry that I didn't respond on the other videos. You can always reach out to me directly through my email: ariel@hapibody.com. As for the watch, I just searched my order history on Amazon, I purchased the Series 3, 42 mm apple watch. You can probably get a great deal on since its 2 series behind. I really like it, oh, and the color is pink sand. :)
Presently there is no watch connecting directly to G6 (well there is a possibility but not official), your watch connects to phone (in your case Iphone) and takes info from phone, as long as phone is close enough to G6 and watch close to phone it should work fine.
I’m sorry but I honestly don’t know why a paediatrician would state you might not be able to have children because of T1 diabetes? I work in paediatric hospital pharmacy and I’m T1 myself and I feel this might have been a pretty low blow. There is nothing that I know of that would stop a T1 having children unless... they were actually dead. I’m sorry if this sounds a little blunt but I really don’t understand the doctor’s point of view here?
