  • During this video, I explain why timing is everything with prebolusing. I explain my analogy to help you understand how prebolusing works in your body when you introduce carbs in a meal, and my favorite tips to reduce the postprandial spikes from your meals. To work together, you can connect with my through my website: abovediabetes.com.

This is a comment of pure gratitude. Thanks to you I was able to navigate my way through eating a nice serving of rice with barely a blip on my CGM. I think I wasn’t waiting long enough after giving myself insulin. Thank you for the advice. Very helpful.

I never thought about the effect of the “insulin drought” from overnight before. Since I fasted this morning and was coasting at 103, I bolused 20/25 mins before lunch. Worked perfectly. I used to get so frustrated when my fasting bg was perfect and then spiked despite a pre bolus. Thank you!!

🔥💦Excellent grass, fire, water analogy and explanation of pre bolus. This was a very good reminder of the importance of focusing on the timing of the bolus and eating.

Thank you for your videos. Since my 11 yr old was recently diagnosed I have been searching for any and all T1D information. Your book has been a great resource as well. I actually bought it before I found your channel! We are getting the prebolus timing down for highs but I am still having a tough time figuring out how to handle timing or subtracting carbs when he is in the lower part of his range (90ish) we have had lows at insulin peak time and need to treat with juice. Still learning with every new situation.
