One thing I really like about this channel is the consistency. I’ve been watching for almost 7 years and she’s kept the same great informative style while a lot the other tech RUclipsrs I follow have changed for the worse by either forcing jokes/memes or being way too negative/annoying. I can always count on this channel to be good.
Yup I don't normally watch her videos but I've been subbed forever because when I need a tech question answered she normally has a video on the subject.

Just got the 12 pro max yesterday, upgraded from a 10s and I love the more boxy design and the feel so first impression for me are positive.
The IDEAL one would be the iphone mini with the iphone SE's size, just thick enough to eliminate the camera bump and increase the battery life, and without the notch of course, so you'd get more screen real estate. Perfect.
Got the mini yesterday in the mail and I’m 6 foot 5 and love it

Curious that a 7 Plus user preferes the regular 6.1 iPhone. It is exactly my case but the internet keeps saying that Plus/Max users should be fine with the 12 Pro Max.

I originally bought the regular 12 pro but ended up returning it and buying the pro max, I’m very happy with my decision. Everyone talks about how big the max is, and yes it is large, but I think the battery and screen upgrades are worth it. It’s nothing unwieldy, and I like how the notch appears as if it is smaller on the max because of the larger screen. The notch on the mini really takes up much more of the screen, which I feel like many people fail to mention.
Ms. Griffin! Did ya know you just shooed my anxiety attack? I was regretful at getting my 12 Pro in detriment to the Pro Max (I ordered them from USA while in Brazil before their launching here). I was burning with doubts, would’ve’s, could’ve’s but your video did it! I’ve now come to terms with my 12 Pro Gold and I and my anxiety rashes thank you!
I’ve had small and large phones. I went from the iPhone 11 Pro to the iPhone 12 Pro Max (Pacific Blue) and I love the extra real estate.
I wish I watched your video a week ago. That’s when I got the 12 Pro Max. I watched other videos and some people said it isn’t that heavy so I figured I’d be okay because I previously had the XS Max. Well, within the first few minutes of holding the phone, I noticed how uncomfortably heavy it is. Now, almost a week later, I have a permanent cramp in the palm of my hand from the weight AND the way I have to stretch my small hands around the phone to hold it. I’ll be returning this phone for the 12 Pro.
The new 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are both heavier, but exactly the same sizes.

I went with the regular 12, manly because it’s my first iPhone. I also didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on a phone I wasn’t sure I’d like overall. Been an android guy since my first phone.
I did the same years ago with the original iPhone SE and got hooked and been a iPhone user ever since.

Got the Mini, I’m so over oversized phones. The mini’s screen is what I consider enough for a smartphone, unless you have eyesight problems.
Did u have any problems reading text or documents. Bcuz if u did I won't be getting this phone. Oh and also is the text size the same over all the iPhone 12s?
@@swagmaster1584 nope but I don’t have issues with my eyesight. The only time I find the text small is if someone sends me an html email as the text does not scale correctly. If text size in general is an issue you can change it in settings. The screen is bigger than an iPhone 6, it’s only a small screen by today’s obnoxiously large screen standards.
I have small hands but I like my max phone in Graphite 🖤 it's pleasure to read and watch videos
I use the 12 mini, I can easily hold this, after a long time I really got something which is very handy to use with high level of performance, I’m just loving this device
Went from the 8+ to the 12pro max, gotta say it's really big in my hands. But it's starting to grow on me, plus the battery life is amazing!
I want the 6.1” Pro model. I’ve been kinda wishing it would match the same size as the iPhone XR and the regular iPhone 11.
Plus, I want the extra camera and the LIDAR scanner.
Just purchased the 13 Pro Max, and I agree, it's too big. I still like it, though, because its weight and size make it a good object to use as a self-defense weapon.
As I'm begrudgingly throwing in the proverbial towel with android & heating myself up to learn a new eco system with apple...this video is of great help!🤗
P.s.- I'm gonna miss the customizability with android..but starting to feel relief at the thought that I might actually be able to become productive within the apple eco system...still kinda dreading the learning curve. But I'm gonna dive in with an open mind & hope for a new lease on the life of my creative spirit in Hope's I won't be driven to madness in the apple eco system like I was with android...ugh.😬

I currently have the 7 plus and I was thinking of switching to the 12 pro max But then I hear people mentionhow the edges on the phone are kind of painful- and I see it’s because the phone isn’t the right size. My 7 plus is already a big phone to me, so I decided on the 11 pro max!! This video helped a lot

I thought the 12 mini was the regular 12 for a second. The Max looks like a tablet in your hands.
12 pro in graphite. Everything about it seems to be just right. The Pro Max would have been nice to have but the size just seems like too much even for my medium to large hands. But definitely Team Flat all the way.
I have medium sized hands (not too small, not too big), I am used to 6 inch phones now thanks to android but I feel like the sweet spot for me would be the 12 Pro or the normal 12 since it is around the same size as my phone but I don't really mind the Max models, I might get one next year though or whatever comes out from apple.

I'm 5'7 and have small-medium size hands. I love the size of my 13 pro max but I do notice the back of my hands feeling cramped at times (I could probably fix that by not being on it a lot 😅). but I just love the big screen so much and anything smaller makes me feel like I'm back to using my old iPhone 4 😭.. maybe one day I'll try a mini.

Snap. Got the 12 Pro Max at launch and instantly regretted it as it feels big and the boxy design is uncomfortable on my fingers. So order a standard 12 which is close to the 7 plus and much more comfortable due to weight. But as I'm now thinking I'd be better served with an iPhone and an ipad I'm thinking I might be better off with the 12 Mini and an 11" ipad Pro.
JR_UK dude the iPhone mini is the best, the size is so perfect in the hand, 1 hand to text comfortably and it’s a phone not no iPad if you place that iPhone max to the face it’ll cover your whole face as well. Also when you have the mini in the pocket you can’t even tell it’s there. I love it battery lasts me all day. Oh and the camera is excellent.
I like the one in the middle with 3 camera lenses. Will probably upgrade to 12 Pro from X. Great video, thanks for your efforts!
I was expecting Erica's opinion about the 12 mini and her tiny hands, now she released this video 😂. Indeed, the sweet spot are the 6.1 inch iPhones but the 12 mini is very interesting, my main concern about it is the battery life and I'll wait for Erica's insane REALLY in depth reviews.

I love my 5/SE, and I have been waiting for the 12 mini (or a compact One-plus) every since the X was announced, while my s7 is on life support. I thought when the bezels shrunk, small phones became more viable and practical so finally it seems my theory got to be tested.

The one thing that is confusing me from every single reviewer is the way you’re all going on about the 12 Pro Max like it’s the first time Apple’s made a large iPhone. 😂 It’s thinner than the 11 Pro Max, it’s not even 1mm wider and yeah it’s around 2.8mm taller but folks plleeaassseeee. Interesting to see you and Jon comparing the hand fit. What you also need to think about is the fact folk like me (51 and older) need a larger screen! hahahaha. 👀

Today I send my iPhone 11 Pro Max back because it was way to big for my hands. I‘m ordering the iPhone 12 instead.

2023 & still rocking my iPhone 12 mini. Battery life isn’t great & thinking of jumping ship to Samsung S23 which feels nice in my hands & easier on the eyes.
I ordered the iPhone 12 pro max today and I have very small hands. I personally like the bigger phones but I think the regular ones are just as nice. Great video :)
I have the XR and I too have small hands. I think it’s the perfect size. The LCD screen doesn’t bother me because I came from the 6+ and the 7.

I bought the 12 and I agree with john, after putting a case the phone became noticeably bigger. I wonder if I should have gone with the mini.

I have very large hand, from the bottom of my palm to my middle finger I measure 20 cm and the base of my palm is around 10 cm, honestly I handle my One plus 6T with only one hand and I think I can still do it with a slightly bigger smartphone, but I don't think I will be able to do it with Iphone 12 Pro Max and also I don't think it will fit my pocket at all.

I'm very tall with large hands. But I went for the 12 pro instead of the 12 pro max. My wife just got the Max yesterday, and it is a huge phone. Yes I agree, the flat edges make the max feel huge over say the XS max.

I've gotten 12 pro max. I have average hands and even for iphone X, I use 2 hands most of the time. So not much difference.
I got quite worried reading all these comments because I have average hands as well, and I'm currently waiting for pro max to be restocked at my place.
I have an average sized android phone at the moment and yes I use both of my hands to type. Hopefully I won't feel awkward using the pro max

Got the Mini. It feels just right in everyday life. 5,4” used to be phablet size now you can get it in a tiny form factor. Used to be a Note user but this size is enough for my needs.
How long does the battery last in the real world?

@@ricog8209 1 Week average shows 6 hr On screen time. Not sure how accurate that is. I had the 2020 SE for 2 weeks and this has deffinetly better battery life and well enough for me. After 8am-4pm work, usually have 60 - 75% left, answering calls, emails, news, social media and stuff. Standby is amazing. Unplugged today at 7.30 am, now sitting at 54% at 6pm. I’ll be using it heavily this evening and expect it to be around 5 - 15% at 9pm maybe. Much better than I initially expected.

I preordered the pacific blue 12 Pro Max and got it yesterday and I have a wallet case on it and I like it. I have fairly large hands but I don’t feel it’s much different than the XS Max. Although it is fairly heavy with a case on it. I’d rather have the screen real estate than full one handed capability.

12 pro is the sweet spot for an all arounder. Tele lens is very underrated because its so useful I have the 12 pro max now and the 65mm tele lens is amazing if you know how to use it

I currently have the 11 Pro Max and i feel like it is definitely THE maximum size i would ever get, it is poking out of most of my pant pockets already and makes riding a bike quite annoying. So with the new Max being even bigger i feel like once it's time to upgrade i'm going with the regular model again.

Your hands are so small the 12 mini looks the same size as the 12 pro max when mkbhd holds it (Seriously his hands are gigantic he can easily reach all 4 corners on the max sized iPhone) Great video

I like big phones. For me, the big real estate is important.I stick between 6.7-6.9. Reason two is the battery.

Can you compare the displays? I used both 12 pro and 12 pro max for a few minutes and I felt that the Max display was better looking. I looked it up and it showed that the 12 and the regular pro use displays from LG and the other two are from Samsung. Idk if it's just me but I just felt that the max display was a bit more vibrant, I guess.

Hi Erica, does 12 lineup have PWM issues (especially 12 pro max apparently)? I've been reading more and more comments about "flickering" below 50% brightness on solid black images/videos...could this be duento PWM? My eyes really suffer from it, I sold XS for this reason (I hope they will use the same approach as Samsung someday, they don't give me any eye strain)

I am used to using big phones. I have used galaxy note 8, 10+ and iPhone 11 pro max and after trying 12 pro max I can surely say I did not feel comfortable after using it for like 10min. Don't buy unless u give it a try personally.
I picked up the 12 pro max, it’s definitely a big phone, even with the slimmest of cases on it, it’s noticeably heavier than my S10 5G.

I have teeny hands and just last month I got a phone that is almost as big as the 12 pro max (The Motorola One Fusion Plus). It took me a solid three weeks to get used to the size but now I am really appreciating the bigger screen estate and much better battery life you get with a phone this big.

I’m 14 and got a iPhone 12 Pro Max and to me it’s not to big. I went from a iPhone XR to a pro max and it was fine it took me like 3 days to get used to it

I currently have the XS max and find it too big sometimes. I'm guessing the pro max would be the same. Maybe i'll upgrade to the pro.
Just curious, if Jon likes his 7+ then why does he think the Max is way too big. I have both in front me and the Max is very close to the same width and height as the 7+. It is noticeably heavier but not that much different in dimension.
