I've had my iPhone 12 mini for 6 months and I'm a heavy user. You can get 8 hours of heavy game play and streaming from a full charge until 1%. You can easily make it through the day, say starting at 7 and by 9 putting it on the charge, if needed - and if you're not a heavy user.
Think I'll have to go out and hold the mini before I choose. I have small hands and often drop my large phones but I also have bad eye sight so I don't want the display too small
I got the 12 mini, and I’m just so happy with it. Relearning how to type on a smaller screen but after 3 years on a 7 plus I’m really appreciating the smaller form factor. My hands have cramped up so bad after wrangling that old slab of mine and the mini has just made everything better. I don’t even feel a need to use a case or pop socket for this thing! (Hill I will die on: pop sockets are a solution to a problem we never should have had to begin with. A band-aid on human folly)
If they make an iPhone 12 Pro Mini, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Edit: I keep getting comments saying “the difference is just the camera”. Facts: on top of the steel frame and zoom lens, the 12 Pro has 6GB RAM, LIDAR sensor, night mode portrait, ProRAW format, 60 FPS HDR, and starts at 128 GB storage. When you buy unlocked the 128 GB iPhone 12 is $879, so the price difference is $120. The zoom lens and the extra RAM alone is worth $120. A 12 Mini with pro features should be about the same price as the 12. I would definitely buy it.

I feel like the notch blends in a lot better on the mini than on the larger iPhones. There isn’t much screen around the notch, only enough to display the battery, signal strength, and time, with no space left. Therefore, the notch somewhat looks like it “belongs”, whereas the other iPhones, it just doesn’t look right.

When I got my 12 it seemed small compared to my 6s plus. But I’m getting used to it.
Can i ask how’s the screen so far? Bc im upgrading from the 6s plus to the 12 too
I had the same feeling with my iphone 8 plus lol
Shoot I like the iPhone 12mini I got one off of eBay I chose the mint green because that color stands out to me 😍 I like the 12 too I like the 12mini and normal 12. And to me the iPhone 12 mini is not that small to me I have small hands so yeah it feels big in my hand lol. I have other iPhones put to the side for rainy days like my iPhone 8+ but I honestly don’t like it. Too big
For me this was kinda a tough choice but I chose the mini. I did like the 12 better due to that 1 hour higher battery life, it’s not much of a difference but can help out in some situations. I ended up with the mini though because my hands are small and I don’t need anything big
I thought the mini was supposed to be small until I went to the store and was surprised to find it was reasonably sized and in no way ‘mini’.
Just got the iPhone mini in blue with this amazing blue framed case with a clear back from Amazon. It is the perfect size iPhone!
Mini in blue and 256k. I am hoping the text is large enough with my old eyes!
Even my young eyes it’s too small so do tell how it is with you
@@chinopai3412 At first it was a no go, but I went into the setup for special needs and increased the text size and it’s perfect. I do like the size and the battery life is fine for me. I don’t do gaming or RUclips on the phone. I threw the box away and am keeping it!
@@JeffEdbergVideo ohh ok yes RUclips is what got me. It was too small on some videos felt like I was watching on an 8. I tried the text thing too but some apps don’t change the text size it still stays the same so it makes that kind of weird as well.
My basic decision is I have an iPad Pro and I do all of my video work on that. Then I can use the Mini with one hand and it works great. I am willing to make the compromise. My assistant has the Max, but doesn’t regularly use the iPad for video so I think that is the decision. At least it was for me. Good luck.
@@JeffEdbergVideo ohh ok yea. The max is way too big for me I can barley settle with the 12. I wish the mini was a little bit bigger it would have worked out that way but oh well.
I’m high asf idk why I watched this
Lil Aries HAHAHAHAHAHA
Love the 12 mini!
Have the mini and it’s pretty impressive last all day
May I know your average screen on time with this Mini?

@@thatwaver8309 the SE isn’t that bad. You guys use your phones for 9 hours.
@@DanielQwerty i like small phones so i got the se and it has annoying little bugs ... i’m tired of it and don’t know if i should buy the mini , 12, or even the 11 for the price
@@daniielllll975 to be honest, if you can get the iPhone 11, you should get the iPhone 12. Yeah it’s 200$ more but that’s a lot of features you’re getting and this investment will last you at least 5 years and even though 5G is very bad now, it’s guaranteed to be good in 2-4 years(your phone will be good then too) the iPhone 12 mini has similar battery life to the iPhone XR which is what I’m using now and for a 7-8 hour user like me it gets me through the day at 89% battery health.
One the best compact flagships out in the market. I picked up my 12 mini from Wal-Mart as a refurbished piece from the OG iPhone SE 2020. Few nicks here and there but absolutely love the form factor. Nails it in that department.
12 mini is great battery isn’t bad lasted me all day.
The standard norm these days is at least 5000mAh i.e 2-3 days. Iphone… a whole DAY without charging, I only charge before bed! 😂
I still don’t understand why so many battery life issues because I never had any issues with battery life
i honestly don't know why i am watching this but i really like the 12, hope the price drops next year so i can get one
Aaron thanks for the valuable information, I have an pixel 4a and iPhone 12 mini in stealthy black, the black one gives a vintage look like iPhone 5 slate black sides, Amazing👌
In my opinion big cellphones are for women they tend to save them into their purse,i cellphone for men should be made to fit into a man's pocket of the jeans!
iphone 12 Mini is just the perfect phone But only if it had 3 camras they should release a Iphone 12 pro mini U Agree?
Hey i saw your comment on the tech chaps interview with apple people
Black regular 12, classic at its best 📱👍
same here
The mini isn’t much smaller
I actually bought the mini and then changed during shipping just because of the battery life
It doesn’t look as massive as they normally do
Am I the only one who thinks the iPhone 12 series was a huge disappointment coming from iPhone 11 series. Nothing revolutionary and nothing that made me want to upgrade. Everyone in 2018 said wait for the iPhone 12 series. Now their saying wait for the 13 series.
I'm expecting the iPhone 12 mini going to be my favorite phone of all time. And I've been using smartphones since 2008.
Dukeman it’s the best
That’s what I have right now
I love iphone 12 mini purple colour 💜
I feel like the notch blends in a lot better on the mini than on the larger iPhones. There isn’t much screen around the notch, only enough to display the battery, signal strength, and time, with no space left. Therefore, the notch somewhat looks like it “belongs”, whereas the other iPhones, it just doesn’t look right.
I never went for the Plus/Max variant...
I have used iPhone 5s, 6, 6s, 7, 8, now I was going for SE 2 which was an iPhone 8 (2020) for me, a better 8, a Classy... but when I saw iPhone 12 mini, I saw Perfection, a way more better, updated & faster version of iPhone 8, with a little smaller size and larger display, which feels like I'm holding just the display of 8 & got rid off the bezzels... no more words,,, Its just Love...
Neither one, my iPhone 6s still works fine
mine too besides the battery lasting only 2 hours :P
had to charge mine like 5 times a day so I bought the 12 mini
Very precise and professional. You have a great voice. It was nice for a change. I'm preparing to buy the iPhone 12 now. Of course, I choose the black one. All my digital phones have always been black....Thanks again. You did a great job and helped me make my final decision.
The 12 mini have 2 camera lenses and a 5g antenna, still slightly smaller than se 2020 but pack a bigger battery capacity, wth is going on :/
The 2020 se screen size is 4.7 12 mini screen size is 5.4 its impossible for the se to be bigger than the mini
@@keyunnagibbs it´s not imposible, mini is all screen. Look for some comparison and inform yourself.
@@keyunnagibbs no you’re wrong. The mini is smaller than the se
@@RyanAlca but the screen is bigger - no home button
Watched the comparison of a mini and a 7 its only longer because the home button with out it itll be the same height as the mini the mini is wider than the 7 and the se is basically a 7
thinking about getting the 12 mini, should i get the 12 instead?
I was going to get iPhone 12 mini but battery life is a big concern for me and idk how big iPhone 12 will feel 😭
@@bandmakers fr!! I wanted the mini but I’m a dude who plays games most of the time so iPhone 12 would be better choice but I don’t wanna carry a Brick around :/
@@prophecy4270 I ended up getting IPhone 12 and I absolutely love it!! The mini was waaaay too tiny and I am a petite person but the iPhone 12 wasn’t very much bigger than an iPhone 7 which is what I had before. I’m so happy with it. I play games on it, not once has it ever died on me since I bought it and I’m so glad I didn’t end up getting the iPhone 12 mini now
Watching on the iPhone 12 mini 😊
Already ordered the 12 Mini. Should be arriving tomorrow. Can’t wait to use it!
Did you get your phone how is it
@@gangireddy6129 Yeah, I got it. Gotta admit, the faster battery drain certainly got me by surprise, but I have yet to really stress test it and see just how late into the day I can get with it. Yesterday, I lost my nerve and recharged it well before it got critically low. I was off work today and, having hardly used it, it still sits at 56% as I type this at almost midnight.
Battery gauging notwithstanding, this phone is every bit as awesome as I hoped and then some. It's the first phone I'm actually willing to rock naked...though I did immediately get a tempered glass screen protector put on it.
@@kevinphoenix2007 enjoy mate ;)
@@kevinphoenix2007 will you prefer iphone 12 mini ????
@@kevinphoenix2007 Mate, how are u? Im deciding between the mini and regular size, i've made a test today with my 11 pro starting to use it around 10am and by 5:30pm it was almost zero battery. Based on it, do you think mini would work worst than this? thank you, your comment helped me!
I decided I'm gonna get the iphone 12 mini. I'm gonna get it in black. And I'm using the small note 10 right now.
I'm thinking of getting the mini and I'm on a note 10 too. How do you like the mini?
Went with the 12, needed bigger screen for ebooks, although hate to give up the hand grip of the mini.
im getting the iphone 12 mini thank you so much it helped a lot
12 Mini , I waited for this size since iPhone 5
I’m still using an iPhone 5 and I’m still trying to decide if I should go with the 12 mini
I picked the iPhone 12 mini this year because its the same as the 12 just smaller and is perfect for me.
Thank you for perfect, simple but comprehensive review and comparison. Others do blah blah around, you said only thing that matter. All I needed so far, in 10 min vs. 5 other videos. Keep doing that please 👌
I am getting the 12 pro that 6gbs of ram is to hard to pass and Ik it is not a lot compared to Samsung but I just don’t like there phones the software is to bad for me
Why he sound like Chris Hansen 😂
He sounds cute , built good
iPhone 12 is so great, I’m pretty sure every bitcoin investor right now is just smiling at the price of bitcoin as it held strong and indeed valuable enough to generating good ROI. More persons are gonna become millionaires and we have bitcoin thanks for that
I agree on your opinion man, generally I always look out for it to dumb so I can purchase some more truly I believe it has come to stay
What's really the idea behind this bitcoin investment anyway, because all I do is buy when it falls and sell when it goes high
Annabel Smith Bitcoin investment is just like is just like every other form of speculative investment where you trade commodities to determine which gains or losses against another in order to make profits, just like in forex trading
Relating Bitcoin investment to forex trading definitely means they are risk involved, and just how do you take appropriate risk measures
of course, in bitcoin investment suitable risk management is aimed at reducing the loss rate thereby giving you a better chance to win your trades and ensure good ROI
hey man, thanks for doing this! I really appreciate it!
Snagged a red iPhone 12 mini after body slamming my iPhone 11 Pro while skateboarding
I don’t mind not having the telephoto lens. Lidar is something I never use. And the difference in ram is nearly unnoticeable for me every day.
The mini just fits in my hand so well. I can use it one handed comfortably. It’s just harder to read, so if you’re older or have poor vision, go with a larger phone.
Im so excited for my mini thats in the mail ive never wanted to break a item more then my 6s
I have the iphone 12 mini and I dont regret it.
How is every1 finding the battery life of the mini compared to the 12?
Battery will force me to get 12 over 12mini
iPhone 12 is the right choice for me!! Mini is too small for me.
is it good to hold in hand and to carry in pocket of jean ?
@@hocineted7594 Sure, no problem with holding ip12 in the pocket.
Depends on how big hands do u have, it is more comfortable to use it by 2 hands but no bigger problems to use it only with your main hand at all.
If you think that it may be too big go for mini i think :) But both choices will be good, those sizes are very universal
@@TheKuma099 i have iPhone 6s and the size is perfect, it’s not annoying when I put in my pocket of jeans, I don’t know if iphone 12 is just little big than iPhone 6s or it’s too big than iPhone 6s.
@@hocineted7594 Yeah it’s a good size and you won’t regret. It’s somewhat more of a 2 hand experience, and my hands are medium size, but as far pockets are concerned its fairly correct size for the pockets and easy comfortable to put in pockets. Battery life is also good.
@@hocineted7594 Bro as compared to 6s its not that big but fairly big. If you put 6s above the 12 you will get roughly around 0.5-1 cm sideways and around 2-3 cm from upwards and downwards extra dimensions.
Hey i saw your comment on the tech chaps interview with apple people
Thanks for the review. It was really helpful!
Got iPhone 12 Blue 128 GB last week. Experience so far is awesome. This is my first Apple device. :) Thanks for all your videos and support.
Another difference: the mini shows a different weather reading to iPhone 12😀

Some day, after my current iPhone X breaks or the battery gets old again, I’m definitely going to get myself the 12 Mini!
I love smaller phones and this one has just the perfect size for my hands 🙌🏼
Just ordered 12 for my new job phone. My 11 was way too clumsy (big and heavy). My 7 was a bit small screen for car navigation and car jukebox, otherwise great phone. Didn’t go with the 12 pro because of the weight. Would have gone with the 12 mini if it wasn’t for the car. Hopefully I’ll be satisfied with 12😅
Hey, how's the 12 going for you? I'm debating on purchasing the 12 mini 128gb or 12 64 gb because of the price difference. How many gigs do you have, and do you feel like they're enough?
To be honest, If I had to pick one, I'd choose the 12 mini because of its unique small size, I mean, there's no other phone that is that small and powerful at the same time. So I'll try to save some money this year to buy it.
Am I the only one who thinks the iPhone 12 Mini isn’t even that much smaller? Maybe it’s because I come from an iPhone 7, but the difference for me is honestly not that much noticeable.
I think other than the screen size it's the battery life that would influence your decision-making
The battery life isn’t bad on the mini for casual users
Mini for me
I have enough with the big phones
I picked up a 12 Pro 128GB silver. It is my first iPhone ever. Tough decision as I was liking the Mini and 12 a lot.
Nice choice! 12 pro is better for 1st iphone user
The 12 and 12 pro are the same size
The iPhone 12 Mini is gorgeous but it's not worth it for that price and battery.
I agree. If I’m getting one, I am going to get the regular 12 because the battery life and better value for the price.
I think I’m gonna get the iPhone 12 because I’ve seen screen issues with Mini.
Am a student, is it good for me to go to 12 mini...I have such a laggy 6 year phone with me right now...
