I went from the 6S Plus to the 12 mini in August 2021 and I still love it! I wanted a 6S Plus for so long, and I got myself one in February 2019. I loved it but after a while I got really tired of the huge size. It was so annoying when my hands were full and I couldn't message someone because the phone was too big to use with one hand. It also wouldn't fit in my pockets most of the time. I was so happy that Apple brought out a mini phone and I'm really bummed out that they've ditched it already. I'm definitely keeping my 12 mini for as long as I possibly can, I had a MagSafe battery for Christmas which will keep it going for years to come hopefully. Long live the mini!
First, I just figured out, on my iPhone 12 Mini, is having the ability to ‘double’ or ‘triple tap’ on the Apple symbol on the back of the phone to perform more than one thing. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap. I’ve used it to take screenshots real quick because sometimes when I use the Up Volume and the Power button, I end up locking my phone by accident. So having the option to just double tap the back of my phone makes it much easier to do. Second, when you use a MagSafe Apple case and put it on your phone; it will make a small sound and your case design will pop up on your phone once you have attached it. Enjoy! 😁✌🏼
I recently went from an iPhone 7 to the iPhone 12 Pro mainly because of the U1 chip and LiDAR sensor. I have small hands and despite trying to get used to it over several months, I just found myself moving to the iPhone 12 Mini and immediately loved the size for my small hands and fitting into your pocket. Using my iPhone 12 Pro a bit now like an iPad Micro.
Trueeee imo a phone should be comfortable in your hands, sure the newer models have the nice features but in the 12 mini you arnt really losing much,same camera sensors,same processor, and incredibly small chase and bezels it’s incredible how they could fit so much in a tight spaced iPhone
@@vics.603 It is very handy if you do a lot of 4k 60fps video for an extended period of time without a computer to offload them. If you do music with it, it can also be handy as some libraries can be huge. Hope it helps. Cheers

Also everyone talks about loving the new form factor but I actually thought the SE2 was a better looking phone. I still prefer this one because it’s smaller and yet still has more screen space but my black se2 was just so slick to look at.

If anyone bought the iPhone 12 mini the otter box defender is also a good case. I wasn’t much for the defender cases but the mini is so small and slim the otter box doesn’t make it too big.

Just upgraded from the big nice 6.1 inch XR to the little 5.4 iPhone 12 mini. It takes some getting used to with the letters being closer together than a bigger phone. The XR has the same software updates so I’m tempted to just switch back to my XR. No change going from the XR to the 12 mini except major downgrade in size.

I can have anywhere from 70% or more for it’s battery life on a single charge. If I’m using FaceTime for a long period of time I see it drain quicker. I haven’t tried gaming yet, but moderate use seems like it’s more than capable to contend with.

Bought this phone. I was unlucky though. I got a doggie one with a fucked up antenna. I was only getting 1-2 bars and I live in the town centre and my 2016 SE has full bars all of the time, both on the same network.

@Rocky Balboa Well your situation is different from mine. Mine says it was supposed to be delivered on the 13th, and it now says it was delivered. I, now have to go through an investigation process before I can even get a replacement.

I was walking my dog right at the corner of the street, and I saw the UPS track pass by me right after passing by my house. I then assumed the phone was delivered, so I ran back to see if there a package. Nothing was there. Doorbell was not rung either. I searched the front door, entire porch, I then received a message notifying me it was delivered right when I was in front of my house. So, I decided to walk around my whole block to see if it was left at the wrong house. Nothing. On the tracking page, it says it was left at the front door and driver release. I also recalled that when I saw the UPS truck pass by me and stopped by a house, chilled there for like 30-45 secs and continued driving. Never got out the truck. Extremely suspicious, and I hate that I have to deal with this.

Traded in my clunky 7plus and picked up a 256GB 12 mini. Wow, this thing is amazing and nearly the same screen size as my old 7plus.

The mini has a smaller battery, thus needs to be recharged more often. It sometimes needs to be recharged near the end of the day.

Mine fell today, immediate chip and crack on screen. vs my iPhone 8, I dropped numerous times. Never an issue. 😔
Cases do help minimize the phone breaking when dropped.
