I used the 12 mini and traded it in for the 13 mini and the extra battery life is very noticeable. I am a power user and have a 13 Pro Max as well. The 120hz is not a deal breaker for me because I hardly notice.
funny enough. I have my 120hz s20, and just got this iphone 12 mini. The mini is more like 90hz especially because of the size and the smoothness of IOS.

@@dea557 yesterday I unplugged my phone for 5 hours and went to use messages, took 3 photos, used it for about 15 mins, and had like 3 hours of it connected to Bluetooth in my car. And it went from 100% to 70% when I got home. On IOS 15, the battery improved a lil bit. But yeah, here in Costa Rica I got the 12 mini new a week ago for 600$. The 13 mini costs like 1000$ lol. So it’s a no brainer. If u only need to reply to some notifications and have it on stand by, then def get it. It’s not as bad as everyone makes it look like.
I just got my wife the 13 mini and I have the 12 mini and outside the slightly smaller notch and bigger cameras it feels and functions the same. I doubt the a15 is really much faster than the a14 in regular use. I think if you own the 12 mini you should skip the upgrade unless you really need more battery life. I didn’t notice a real difference in photos I took and i think for the average person most updates to the phone will go unnoticed.

Actually, the battery life on the 12 Mini improved by the latest 15.1.1 update. I used to get around 5 hours of screen time, but now I can push it to 6 hours! Even though Apple will discontinue the Mini lineup in the future, they'll probably end up using extra 12 Mini bodies in the SE lineup. So, it'll basically be a souped up 12 Mini.

There’s normally too much focus on the battery life but seriously, unless you’re a professional ‘RUclipsr’, if you’re on your phone for more than six hours a day then you have a problem !!! Best way you can extend your battery life is by getting a good book and talking to actual humans !

By the way, the 13 mini cases fit perfectly on your older 12 mini. All the buttons line up perfectly and the case is just as snug as the 12 mini cases. The only difference when you buy a 13 mini case is the diameter of the camera hole is about 2 millimeters bigger but still completely protects the camera lenses on the 12 mini.
Gonna be picking one of these up in December when T-Mobile cuts off my iPhone 5 (running iOS 6) with the GSM shutdown. So irritating that the 13's stupid camera bump sticks out even with (normal) cases. If it weren't for that, I'd totally get one. But I'll probably begrudgingly get the 12 just so it'll sit flat. I agree. As a User of both iPhone an android and owner of a 120hz phone (OnePlus 8T) the 120hz isn’t really necessary on iOS. I got the 12 mini and switching between both phones isn’t so dramatic because iOS is already very smooth. 120hz is really nice to have but over time your eyes get used to it and it’s not as exciting anymore.
13 mini is as good as the 12 pro -Get a mini and a digital point and shoot camera with 20 MP and 20x optical zoom for the money and an Ankr power bank while you’re at it!

Why are they getting rid of the miniseries? I am completely blind, and that’s a slap in the face to all the people that are blind. Because most of us that are completely blind don’t really need all those cameras, and we love our mini series.
I lost my 12 mini and moved back to the SE (2016), after some serious thought, I went ahead and bite the bullet and purchased the 13 mini (256GB), since I with T-Mobile, it will be spread over 24 months.
A down grade in battery life in just one year? Wow! That’s not good. I’d expect that from a Fitbit, not an iPhone. It’s all relative. 13 mini has a larger battery but because the phone can do more things and will use more power over time just from the new video and photo modes that aren’t available on the 12 mini alone, not to mention the iOS updates that will regularly come out and be more battery draining, the 13 will in time be just like the 12 mini is now in terms of battery life.
All batteries degrade every second. So expecting a battery to stay out the box fresh after at least 250+ charges and decharges is insane. As for the phones will be about the same after a year nah. The 13 gives you another hour or so of battery life so it will still be better regardless of battery health.
This is one of the best iphone mini reviews I have seen so far. Thanks for making me decide which phone to go for, I am going for iphone 13 mini as it resembles to iphone 5S form factor and also it is a better phone then 12 mini battery wise.

For now iPhone 12 mini costs about 680euros its a bit less than a year ago when it was announced then back in the day you would pay about 760-810euros for it. iPhone 13 pro is a great device for doing RUclips.Anything else is just wasting money, anyway people can decide what is waste for them. I have never used the lighting connector on the mini. Generally it is better to get 13 mini, however if you get a great deal for 12, it is worth it. Battery life? It is very subjective, as for me, 12 stays for 3 days without a charge. Will 13 stay for more days? I doubt. A camera is great, it is no significant difference. Pro versions will give a better quality, but for casual shooters, no advantage.

I bought my 12 mini 18 months ago and with under 90% batterylife left, i had to charge it two times a day. Now i have the 13 mini and the better battery is a gamechanger. The 12 mini was replaced from my ensurance and now i got 2 brand new iphone minis :) the 12 mini will be my backup phone. I love both of them but i dont regret the upgrade.
Just get the 12 mini 256 gigs or 512 gigs. If you want the cheapest version, than get the iPhone 13 mini. The starting storage is 128 gigs than 64 gigs. The iphone 12 mini 64 gigs may be not worth it.
AT&T sells iPhone 12 mini if you trade in from different carrier for $360 and my battery last 9 hr screen on time and 1hr screen off time and I’ve had it for like 5 days now
12 mini is less thick then the 13 mini it’s slightly thinner the 13 mini is thicker because of the bigger camera bump so over all the whole phone is slightly bigger and thicker in the hand!

@@ganapathisubramanian3524 battery life is fair for a tiny 2200 mAh unit. I usually charge my 12 mini twice a day from 40-30 percent to 85-95 percent. If you are a power user dont buy mini series and go for the regular or the pro max version instead.
I have the iPhone 12 mini and my battery health is down to 89% after 11 months so I plan on changing the battery out on this when it hits 80% like apple suggests. I still plan on getting the iPhone 13 mini so I have both mini phones. But the iPhone 12 mini has a 2227 mAh battery and the iPhone 13 mini has a 2438 mAh battery so that’s a couple hundred mAh more not to bad. When my iPhone 12 mini was brand new it lasted me about 6 hours screen on time. I’m sure the 13 mini would last longer.

Hello All, My Suggestion for Apple would be. 1.Make a iPhone of iPhone SE 2016 size. 2. Weight should be around 120 -125 grams. 3. I think punch hole camera should be given rather than notch. 4. Apple attracts it's consumer's by its size.
I have both and I like the 12 mini better because I can lay it flat down without it tilting w the annoying camera bump and the bezel is not so fat and you barely notice the width of the notch the 13 mini is faster but don’t notice at all plus I like the blue better on the 12 mini💙

The refresh rate is totally fine. The iphone doesn't feel slow or sluggish and 120hrz idk isn't really needed on iphones tbh.

13 mini is as good as the 12 pro -Get a mini and a digital point and shoot camera with 20 MP and 20x optical zoom for the money and an Ankr power bank while you’re at it!
Never had an issue with my iphone 12 mini battery. But i don't play games. I get around 7 hours screen on time consistent.
How is it now? I’m thinking of mini 12 and get MagSafe battery, what do you think?
Also explain that the iPhone 13 not only has longer battery life but also the 13 mini also has a much brighter display noticeable in daylinght !
I think 12 mini is enough for a standard user. Those who purchased 12 mini need not upgrade as there is no differece apart from small upgrade.Those who want to buy need to check their buying capacity.Accordingly they should go.These days 12 mini is available much cheaper so best bet is 12 mini rather then going for 13 mini.
Being a user of both the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 13 mini, iphone 12 mini has a more stable processor because in my iPhone 13 mini, my personal hotspot always malfunctions; it just suddenly disappears and I can't do much to recover it, while in the iPhone 12 mini, it’s really flawless and I haven’t experienced any problems while using it, and I can use my Dito SIM without facing any problems, unlike when I’m still using my iPhone 13 mini.

Why are they getting rid of the miniseries? I am completely blind, and that’s a slap in the face to all the people that are blind. Because most of us that are completely blind don’t really need all those cameras, and we love our mini series.
They replace the mini series with the SE series.

My 12 mini lasts me the entire day, not supposed to be on my phone at work anyway 😂
I lost my 12 mini and moved back to the SE (2016), after some serious thought, I went ahead and bite the bullet and purchased the 13 mini (256GB), since I with T-Mobile, it will be spread over 24 months.
A down grade in battery life in just one year? Wow! That’s not good. I’d expect that from a Fitbit, not an iPhone.
It’s all relative. 13 mini has a larger battery but because the phone can do more things and will use more power over time just from the new video and photo modes that aren’t available on the 12 mini alone, not to mention the iOS updates that will regularly come out and be more battery draining, the 13 will in time be just like the 12 mini is now in terms of battery life.
All batteries degrade every second. So expecting a battery to stay out the box fresh after at least 250+ charges and decharges is insane.
As for the phones will be about the same after a year nah. The 13 gives you another hour or so of battery life so it will still be better regardless of battery health.

This is one of the best iphone mini reviews I have seen so far. Thanks for making me decide which phone to go for, I am going for iphone 13 mini as it resembles to iphone 5S form factor and also it is a better phone then 12 mini battery wise.
Magsafe can resolve battery issue which costs less then 10k if you have battery issue due to heavy use. 12mini +magsafe costs less then 13 mini.

@@spandysdayout .. yup I’m about to buy a brand new iPhone 12 mini for $350 on second hand phone site where as t mobile is still selling the 12 mini for almost $700 still it just makes sense to buy it second hand then when the iPhone 13 price drops I’ll get that in a year or two!

im thinking to get the iPhone 12 mini over the 13 mini, just because for me 13 mini back camera desing looks so ugly. And the 12 mini looks cool to me especially in that blue color. Waiting for prices to drop, then I can pick the 12 mini for a bit cheaper.

@@shauncameron8390 yep indeed, but the prices dropped only in the USA. I dont live in USA so in my country i have to wait a little bit more for prices to go down even more. iPhone 13 series just came now in my country for sale so I have to wait a bit more.

@@shauncameron8390 good for you, I live in Eastern Europe in the country named Lithuania and here the prices are still high even a week ago some shops got the iPhone 13 models for sale. For now iPhone 12 mini costs about 680euros its a bit less than a year ago when it was announced then back in the day you would pay about 760-810euros for it. But im waiting for prices to drop a bit more about 550euros would be nice for that phone.

Whereas next door in Poland very few people had Apple products because of price. So my question is how are Apple products sold in Lithuania - on a payment plan or outright or what?

If your on road n 1hr off battery matters get 13 mini or else 12 mini will do everything just need to charge 1 extra time, which does not matter to me as I sit behind a desk in office 😊

iPhone 13 pro is a great device for doing RUclips.Anything else is just wasting money, anyway people can decide what is waste for them. I have never used the lighting connector on the mini. Generally it is better to get 13 mini, however if you get a great deal for 12, it is worth it. Battery life? It is very subjective, as for me, 12 stays for 3 days without a charge. Will 13 stay for more days? I doubt. A camera is great, it is no significant difference. Pro versions will give a better quality, but for casual shooters, no advantage.

I bought my 12 mini 18 months ago and with under 90% batterylife left, i had to charge it two times a day. Now i have the 13 mini and the better battery is a gamechanger. The 12 mini was replaced from my ensurance and now i got 2 brand new iphone minis :) the 12 mini will be my backup phone. I love both of them but i dont regret the upgrade.
Just get the 12 mini 256 gigs or 512 gigs. If you want the cheapest version, than get the iPhone 13 mini. The starting storage is 128 gigs than 64 gigs. The iphone 12 mini 64 gigs may be not worth it.

12 mini is less thick then the 13 mini it’s slightly thinner the 13 mini is thicker because of the bigger camera bump so over all the whole phone is slightly bigger and thicker in the hand!

@@ganapathisubramanian3524 battery life is fair for a tiny 2200 mAh unit. I usually charge my 12 mini twice a day from 40-30 percent to 85-95 percent. If you are a power user dont buy mini series and go for the regular or the pro max version instead.
The 12 mini on 70 percent last me from 2pm to 6pm

I have the iPhone 12 mini and my battery health is down to 89% after 11 months so I plan on changing the battery out on this when it hits 80% like apple suggests. I still plan on getting the iPhone 13 mini so I have both mini phones. But the iPhone 12 mini has a 2227 mAh battery and the iPhone 13 mini has a 2438 mAh battery so that’s a couple hundred mAh more not to bad. When my iPhone 12 mini was brand new it lasted me about 6 hours screen on time. I’m sure the 13 mini would last longer.

I've seen many reviewers recommending newer iphones to new buyers even considering substantial increase in price just because of the fact that those phones are new (ignoring other improvements here). It absolutely doesn't make sense to me.
Still as long as the difference between the phones isn't much more than 125$, I would choose the iPhone 13 mini over 12 mini.

I'm quite unsure about what I'm saying so correct me if I'm wrong... but if the 12 mini is only 100£ less than the 13 mini, they technically both have the same price at 128Go, don't they? Because the base 13 mini model is at 128 while for the 12 it's 64.
Where I live (UK) the 12 mini is £629 and 13 mini is £689 which is like a £60 difference. This is both 128gb size

My Suggestion for Apple would be.
1.Make a iPhone of iPhone SE 2016 size.
2. Weight should be around 120 -125 grams.
3. I think punch hole camera should be given rather than notch.
4. Apple attracts it's consumer's by its size.

Is this a question that even needs to be asked? The 13 Mini improves upon the 12 Mini in every way, especially with the battery where such improvements were needed most.
