Well, the iPhone 13 mini seems to be a success, because they’re pretty much sold out in my location, California. I was thinking about getting a 12 mini instead with a purchase of a battery case. Coming from a XR, it will probably be a strange turnaround. That thing never needed to be charged for me. I usually try to not charge it to 100%. 80% - 90% will be okay. I mean what the hell are y’all doing on your phones that make you say they’re not all day battery phones? Maybe y’all need to stop watching porn while at work and stop milking the clock.
Lol I’m surprised you have that much battery left after using the GPS. Does your phone overheat when using GPS? I have looking to upgrade to the 12 min or 11 from the 6 and mine overheats whenever I use google maps.
Wireless charging and fast charging are real battery killers. When not in a hurry, one must use the slow chargers (5W) beuase it does not generate heat that is detrimental to battery
I miss the size of the iPhone 4, which screen was, for you young 'uns, just 3.5 inches! Just prior to owning an iPhone 4, I was watching broadcast television, i.e. over the air, with a "portable television" that was 1-1/2 inches thick with a 3-inch screen. So the iPhone was totally the game changer.
I previously had an iPhone XR, got a 12 mini and loved the size. Until I had to squint to read anything and make the text size larger. Going back to my XR for now, but I would still recommend the mini if you are upgrading from a smaller phone and want to keep the small form factor such as the iPhone SE,7,8 or SE 2 :)
My iPhone 12 (standard size) is at 92% after one year of pretty standard use. I don’t know if that’s normal or not, but it does seem that the recent iPhones degrade faster in that regard.
Dude, you're were the reason why I jumped on board with the Mini after I watched your first review of it - I simply love it!! I charge mine twice a day, and my battery health is at 99% after 10 months of suing it - My weekly average usage is around 4 hours, and that's less than 20% of battery consumption - I rarely use the camera, so I'm sure that why I'm fortunate with the longer battery time - looking to upgrade to 13 Mini next year, before it gets discontinued 🤞🏽
99% after almost a year, man you are damn lucky but i get that you use your fone less than most people with social media users. I guess habit matters. What fone charger do you use? 5/12/20watts?
Man i have no idea how your battery life is 91. Mine jumped from 87 to 85 in mere weeks. After the initial decline its been skyrocketing down. Im at the 10 month mark and have 85% battery health.
Same here. Battery drains even when not in use 10% per hour (not in use). I’m at 8th month and have 93% battery health . Well planning to change phone’s battery will it be helpful?

Oh my, my battery health is 90% :'v (10 months with it). I really love it, but my guy's dying fast. Oh, and I charge it 88-94% with the 20w fast charger at around 10:00 PM (and I disconnect it when it's done, obviously).
Hey Peace, I really love your 12 Mini videos and I find your channel with them. I'm on an eve for phone buying. I'm using a LG G4 for over 6 years and now I have orginal 2nd battery. In these days I'm charging it 2-3 times in a day. But I want to go for a compact device which is 13 Mini. I'm not a power user, just listen music (max 4-5 hours per day) so much and social media (max 1-2 hours per day), usually. Sometimes video taking but I'm not looking for more than 1080p 60fps. And most important, I don't play games usually. Should I go for 13 Mini or go for normal 12? I accept other 12 Mini user's advices and ideas too :)
If you are going for the mini, go for the 13 mini. Because of the increased battery capacity. However, if you want a normal size 12, I think right now would be a good time to purchase it, since the price has dropped and there's not so many differences between the 12 and 13 when it comes to the everyday situations. The battery life on the 13 is a bit bigger, but the 12 already haves an all day battery life!
Your battery is fucked up more than the phone showed you. I have the 12 mini an my battery life ist 5-6 hours, even when I am most of the time on mobile data use
Hi Peace, battery health on apple devices is maintained the best when using official Apple accessories, I've been using magsafe with the 20w charger, every night for almost a year and battery health for my iPhone 12 pro max is still 100%, it does get hot when charging but it hasn't affected my battery. But I used an Aukey 18w charger with the original usb c to lightning cable for my 11pro max and my battery health after 6 months was 94%. Another experience I've had with my iPhone XS Max using every night the 5w charger with the original usb to lightning cable for a year and after that battery health was 97%. @@CometFire2010 That's true, i hear that it also depends on which charger you use. which goes back to what you said about fast and wireless charging. thank you for the tip though! i didn't end up keeping the phone, i upgraded to the 13 pro max. i had the 11 pro max before the 12 mini , and i should've just kept the 11 pro max but i really wanted to try the 12 mini.

I use it as a dash cam as well, so it’s constantly being used.
I had to warranty my 12 mini after 5 months cuz of the battery. The phone didn’t recognize the battery. They gave me a loaner phone for a week while I waited for the new phone.
Also what doesn’t help u with battery health is wireless charging it degrades the battery faster. Mine is at 99% that’s since the day it was released.

What if we use the 20w apple charger instead of magsafe will the battery health degrade like this in a year?

It seems like many believe that fast charging and wireless charging degrades the battery alot faster.
I loved the phone so much, but got rid of it ASAP.
No matter how much I love it, Battery life was so bad i can see it dropping while using, and that's just not GOOD.
Great review, just moved from 11 pro to 13 mini feels great so far. What is the phone case you’re using in this review?

Although I disagree on the iPhone 12 mini being my everyday device, love to see the insight of a mini user and how they use it in everyday situations. I’m going to upgrade from the iPhone 7 Plus to the iPhone 13 pro max bc of the battery life bc I don’t want to worry about my phone dying on me when doing my things. Love the video peace, keep up the good work!
I had it die on me in the middle of a freaky FaceTime ; that really suckd
@UCP-8bfFtC6-N_tzomr_wu2Q LmAo well less faster sorry my wording is weirding.
iPhone Mini together with the Magsafe battery pack is I think the best combo! Enjoyin my mini 12 since day 1! 😎
u have original cover or third party
Have a link to that magsafe battery pack you're using?
I use my 12 mini for gps most the day, texting, listening to music and making calls to customers. And when I get home I have around 40% battery. I mean what the hell are y’all doing on your phones that make you say they’re not all day battery phones? Maybe y’all need to stop watching porn while at work and stop milking the clock.

Le wheeze 🤣
Lol I’m surprised you have that much battery left after using the GPS. Does your phone overheat when using GPS? I have looking to upgrade to the 12 min or 11 from the 6 and mine overheats whenever I use google maps.
@@Yeluna7 Nope. Cool as a clam. What kind of case do you have?
Wireless charging and fast charging are real battery killers.
When not in a hurry, one must use the slow chargers (5W) beuase it does not generate heat that is detrimental to battery

The iPhone 12 Mini is my favorite phone since the iPhone 4s!
So nobody’s gonna talk about the fact he’d rather watch YT on an iPhone 12 mini instead of on the big screen sitting right next to it…? 🤔🤦🏼♂️
He doesn't but it would be a good test for the video
When you get your 13 you should do a real day I the life in the beginning at a few months later and so on to see if you see a difference with battery
91% after one year? My 11 is at 89 and it’s been two years. Just ordered the 13 mini and now I’m worried
Me too.

Blue 12 mini vs 13 mini blue. Which blue looks better?
99% after almost a year, man you are damn lucky but i get that you use your fone less than most people with social media users. I guess habit matters. What fone charger do you use? 5/12/20watts?
Man i have no idea how your battery life is 91. Mine jumped from 87 to 85 in mere weeks. After the initial decline its been skyrocketing down. Im at the 10 month mark and have 85% battery health.
Same here. Battery drains even when not in use 10% per hour (not in use). I’m at 8th month and have 93% battery health . Well planning to change phone’s battery will it be helpful?
How do you use the phone and how do you charge it?
nOT U SAYING THE BATTERY LIFE MADE U PRODUCTIVE AND MORE PRESENT 😭😭 that would lit become my reason for buying it. i've always been worried ab the battery life bc im a teen... i live off of soc med but that line really just made me rethink my decisions LMAO
I always charge my iPhone 12 mini with Apple's original Magsafe every night the battery capacity is still 97 percent after one jaar
Oh my, my battery health is 90% :'v (10 months with it). I really love it, but my guy's dying fast. Oh, and I charge it 88-94% with the 20w fast charger at around 10:00 PM (and I disconnect it when it's done, obviously).
@@xylogram4168i think wireless and fast charging shortens batt life. That could be a reason.
Def 13 mini. Better camera (and I think battery life) than the 12!

This makes me really sad, i got my iphone 12 mini on christmas as a present. it was a big deal bc ive been needing a new one for a while coming from a 6s. the 12 mini isnt very cheap, it costs a lot since im only a teenager and cant make my own money. The battery lasts about 6 hours on wifi but on mobile data its like 3 hours at max. I love the small size but the battery really makes me worried. I think if I had a choice i would have gone for the Iphone 11 JUST for the battery. As much as i love Apple bc i have a macbook, airpods and had two other iphones i think the androids deffinitly win the battery aspect and most of the time they are much cheaper.
Good to know. I still have a 6S.
So do you use wireless or fast charging for your iPhone mini?
No. Your battery health didn’t drop down because of charging the phone overnight. It droped because of the way how you use the phone.
Battery health drops cuz of the way you charge your phone not cuz how you use it....
