It’s definitely a personal preference on what looks you like and for some, also budget. I have a 22 vivid black with S&S cam stage two ect ect. It has 2 into 2 V&H. I removed the Cats from each pipe then re-tuned. It’s a complete earplug machine now with 116 engine hp. I don’t care to much about the numbers but if you day dreaming and hit the throttle it throws the hands of the bars.😂 Really great vlog and review big fella 🍻
Cheers mate, oh wow that's bloody awesome haha they do handle alright I imagine even better with a slight suspension raise I hit too many times haha. Thanks for watching 🤙
That's good to hear mate, it is a great bike seems very versatile. Cheers for your honest feedback I appreciate that glad I didn't miss the mark I need to be honest with these things. Ahhh true ! It's all planned from harley 🤣 thanks for watching 🤙
Cheers mate, I agree it should get snapped up within a couple of days ! Bloody beautiful idea mate I was thinking the same thing but I'm just stuck on the "how" to make it happen part haha. Thanks for watching 🤙
Absolutely love my Sport glide, gotta s&s 475 and a s&s 129 bigbore kit. Love it. Really mate there's nothing wrong with the 107, still has plenty of power, I just did what I did to mine coz I could lol. Great channel mate, good work 🎉
Holy demon you went all out mate that's wicked I appreciate the feedback, cool to hear from all the sport glide owners. Yeah I just have to compare to the other bikes no hate on the 107 I just felt coming off others it was "meh" still have a ball of fun on it though. Hahaha love that. Thanks for watching 🤙
There are several windows screens different sizes, depending on how tall you are easy to change out. I put screaming Eagle, stage, 2 3, and 4, and it moves. It's a typical Harley, ready for you to customize to make your own!! love. Mine handles great. 2019
Ahhh true, I was looking at it while riding thinking to myself I'm sure this little thing changes out 🤣 good to know ! Awesome that's good to hear I appreciate the feedback. I see from the comments that's abit of work makes them abit of an animal! That's what I like to hear. Thanks for watching 🤙
Love your channel mate, and love seeing you ride the great roads we have here. I own a Sport Glide and agree 100% with you about the 107. I’ve got a 483cam from our mates at Farrows Customs. It’s a like a new bike!! Goes hard , handles well and SOUNDS like it should. Stay upright and keep up the good work 👍
Thanks mate really appreciate that, ahhh good I'm glad to hear from an owner of one that I nailed the review 😅 that's wicked, I've heard a few people say a good cam wakes them up heaps. Cheers mate, Thanks for watching 🤙
I have a 2018 and its basically exactly the same. I like it for the versatility if im taking the wife out for a picnic or strip it down for a Sunday ride. I have a full TBR exhaust and fuelpak and that wakes it up a bit and makes it sound good. Also threw some mini floor boards on it that actually sit a little higher than the stock pegs, so they dont hit as much and allow me to put my feel all the way out. Definitely handles great for a harley, which i liked coming from sport bikes.
That's bloody awesome, I appreciate the feedback it's good to hear what the sport glide owners have done and what works better. I'd love to hear one with a nice exhaust and cam. Thanks for watching 🤙
Matt , I really like the look of it but I would buy something with the 114 in it , stage 1 maybe 2 and it has too have the V&H exhausts . Has to sound badass and have an attitude , that bike doesn’t yet . Great review mate 👍👍
@shubr66 that's a fair assessment mate, as someone else said there's is no replacement for displacement 😅 apparently these are the best motor to get if you're doing a big bore kit though 🤔 very interesting... thanks for watching 🤙
Nah, 7ci on an M8 is nothing and a 117 from 114 is bs just loose a few kg lol these things fly for what they are and can be tuned like no other V twin ever made: a proper cam and tune (not SE) pipe and figure the correct gearing and the shorter stroke will work in its favour just like the 750 Norton Commando is quicker than the 850.
Hey mate, it was definitely different to the rest had its own feel that's for sure. I think you're spot on mate, that would be a must if i was to purchase one. Thanks for watching 🤙
The sport glide was the first Harley I ever rode. Shout out to Geelong Harley Davidson for the loan. As someone that really had never ridden a Harley before, it was a great first time bike. It’s a nice little bike. Would I own a Harley, still no.
Oh wow how cools that, I've heard good things about Geelong harley. That's good to hear that you enjoyed it. Haha fair enough alot of people say the same. Thanks for watching 🤙
it's a LowRider ST with a smaller fairing and smaller engine (Plus forward controls).... i was seriously tempted to buy one of these but the 117 in the FXLRST seemed like the better option... these Sport Glides are oddly popular, I see HEAPS of them out on the roads every week.... guessing it's the price point that makes them so popular.... the 107 with a stage 2 is a really good solid reliable and quick engine... from what I'm told the 107 actually makes it's power quicker than a 114 anyway... but there's no substitute for cubic inches so the 114 will pull away from it soon enough... another good review mate, well done
That's true mate, yeah I've had so many ask for this review and seen heaps around! Ahhh okay I thought there might have been a catch, that's interesting to know. Haha how's it go ? No replacement for displacement! Thanks for watching 🤙
Nice review mate. I think the Sport Glide is a good option as a “first” Harley. They are easy to ride and with a few mods can get up and go! Not sure if you have already done a review on a Street Bob yet, but would like to see one! Cheers.
Cheers mate, I definitely agree with that it seems like the perfect first harley and then later down the track start with engine work haha. I have actually done the street bob it was a cracking little machine. Thanks for watching 🤙
Everyone bloody loves them !!! I did had a ball on it, surprised me that's for sure 😅 oddly feels light as a feather to throw around. Thanks for watching 🤙
I have the 2018 Ultra Limited with the 107, has the stage 2 torque cam, Vance and hines big bore slip on's bigger air filter and tune,, 95hp at the tyre and its more than enough to murder the traffic 😁
Het Matt... I liked the looks of this motorbike. My favorite part is the looks of the exhaust pipes. Reminds me of the old Fat Bob, but without the twin headlights. Like others have mentioned... this is the perfect first Harley Davidson for new riders. Another excellent review Matt!!! John...
Was so close to getting a Sportglide last year but went the Lowrider ST. My reason was bigger motor and fairing which u said u would also prefer. The sportglide would be a great first Harley and have heard the 107 is the best engine to upgrade to a big bore kit
Good choice mate I'd go the ST every day over the sportglide. For the same reasons you stated ! Oooh okay well there ya go I'll have to question farrows for more info. The more you know.... thanks for watching 🤙
Hi Matt another great review looks pretty cool. Don’t mind the quality of the sound It’s better than most people on the 107 a mate put in a stage one kit in he’s happy as Larry didn’t have to spend thousands. He’s happy with it. and it sounds like a Harley.
That's awesome ! It's a great bike really good all rounder that's for sure and I've heard they make power very easily so that's a bonus. Thanks for watching 🤙
Perfect assessment Matty 107’s a good little motor cracking price💲💲 too from SCHD an ideal entry point the sport glide!! Would never convert though ❤ my RoadKing 🤙😎
Ahhhh man !!! Yes please I'd love to review a night rod. I'll see if I can get hold of one hey. Idk about the skids part I can't ride that good ! Thanks for watching 🤙
Very welcome mate, thanks you it can be hard because I know I'll upset some people but it has to be done. Keep to see what's coming. Thanks for watching 🤙
I've been waiting for this. I absolutely love my sportglide, it's very light, so the 107 is good enough, you open that bike up it jumps of the line with power. I did everything screaming eagle on mine, except, bassani road rage 3 pipes. Club style stage 2 . Number 1 selling Harley Softail in Europe. That's a all round great Harley Matt. Very fun machine.
Haha I know you have, sorry it took so long !! Was there a massive difference when you got the engine work done ? I love the heard feedback from the owners. It's super popular over here too ! Thanks for watching 🤙
@Gnarly_Harley yes , but the 107 was great as well, also got Memphis shades fairing , if you have email ill send Pic. Yes screaming eagle stage 2 power came big difference
@paulsilson2148 oh that's bloody awesome mate, yeah or can send it through on direct message on the GNARLY HARLEY Facebook. Or put the photo in the lastest post even whatever works.
Hey Gnarly. Love your reviews! Got a black SG after test riding the fat bob and fat boy earlier this year. Its my first HD. Im now in my late 50's. The SG wasn't even on my shopping list at the time. I just needed a bike with forward controls as ive got a an implant after busting my femur/hip 18months ago and can no longer ride my beloved MT01 comfortably otherwise. Rocket was uncomfortable to ride and Indian was not an option because there is no privately owned dealers in Brisbane. Ive got a chrome Rinehart slip on crash bars and comfort seat for extra support. The bike sounds great, and most importantly, I can ride for hours comfortably. Cruise control is a favourite for me. It is pretty good in the twisty's and although ive got no chance of keeping up with my riding buddies on their sport bikes and nakeds, Im never to far behind. I do like the chameleon aspect and i think the bike looks great with the bags and screen off, but also enjoy not having to wear a backpack full of stuff when on the longer rides. I love the wheels.
Wow that's bloody awesome mate thanks for the feedback, sorry to hear about you busting your femur. Atleast you can still get out and ride. It's definitely a great all rounder I found it a gun bike to ride. Super cool you can go naked mode or tour mode. How good is not wearing a bag !!!! Don't miss the sport bike at all 🤣 thanks for watching 🤙
I rode one. My friend's, and my biggest complaint was the fairing. I ride an 01 Deuce, naked and it is preffered by me than the little fairing, which seemed to thrist the wind right under my chin and face. It's a nice little bike, nothing fancy. Sits good. A good little run around town bike, whichnis what he uses it for. The color is badass!
Yeah I definitely agree the fairing nearly pushes the wind onto your chest !! Needs a taller screen for sure. Yep you said it, good option to have though. Thanks for watching 🤙
That's awesome mate, thanks for the feedback I like hearing from owners of the bikes. Did you do engine work ? If so is it way better than stock ? Thanks for watching 🤙
Brought one last year. Felt very flat after having a Ktm Superduke . Had a stage 2 and full Basanni exhaust, air filter and map and it now pulls like a train. Completely changed the bike. Handles well for a Harley👍🏻
Mate that's so good to hear ! Was hoping that was the case. Appreciate the feedback it's good to know all of this so I can tell people in the future. Thanks for watching 🤙
Nice review. I have a21 Sport Glide with stage 2 and it screams. I didn't rate it until I put on a Memphis Shades batwing. You can do everything on it. Good bike!
Cheers mate, that's awesome to hear mate I appreciate that feedback good to know. Love the memphis shape stuff I rock one on the fatbob so good. Thanks for watching 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley For modifications this is a great base. As said, I have Memphis Shades Fairing, Woods XE22 Pro Cam,TBR exhaust, Floorboards and Saddleman Seat. I do long distance touring as well as coffee shop hopping. The Floorboards get rid of the scraping issue too. I also have an Ultra and a Pan Am but I find the Sport Glide the most fun. and versatile. You get used to the panniers too.
Hi from Germany, mate! Honest review, I liked it. I own a Sport Glide and absolutely love it. Had a Nightster bobber for 5 yrs before I got my SG. I don't mind the smaller engine, it delivers enough power for my 47 y/o ass. 👍🏼 The bike is freakin comfy and goes 300km easily with its big tank. Also it looks absolutely mint. Btw the small fairing does its job indeed, but only protects the torso from most of the wind. Can we also mention the USB socket? Quite handy. Stay safe, dudes
That's awesome to hear mate I love hearing the feedback from owners of the bike, that's fair enough mate I have to compare the power to the other models that's all. I have heard a stage 2 makde them am absolute animal though. Hmmmm maybe I'm too tall for the fairing ? I had wind on my torso which caused my back pain in the video. Ahhh dammit I always miss things in these reviews! That is very handy Thanks for watching 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley yeah tbh I did not test ride the 114 so I'm not really qualified to compare 😁 One of my best friends used to live in Brisbane for a couple of years, that's what I thought if immediately when I heard you saying "Scheiße" 🤝
I got mine in 2021: gauntlet grey, stage 1 with Rinehart exhaust. I have everything chromed on my bike, custom tank paint too. At the time, there was no 117, only 114. For me, there was not that much difference in the engine, but I like the looks, forward controls and the price!!! The 117 low riderST is much more expensive in the UK... At the time, my other options were the softail slim or heritage, all with 107. The sport glide was the nicer bike to ride..... It is a great bike!!!
That's bloody awesome mate, sounds like you got all the right mods for it. Yeah it's hard to go past the price. With all the mods done you're basically at the stock price of the other models so it's a no trainer sort of. I appreciate the feedback thanks for watching 🤙
Looks alright. I like it. Prefer the naked looked. Looked like fun in the corners alright. Easy to flick around. They certainly need to change the design of the kick stand. It shouldn't be like that. Great vlog, well done!
I definitely agree with you on that, naked looks better 👌 haha it felt light as a feather that's for sure but the lean angle and that stand definitely let it down 😬 thanks for watching 🤙
Had a stage 1 SG with 2 into 1 a few years back now I have one with big radius pipes, filter, proper cam (not Screamin Eagle) was done when I got it and dyno tuned properly, it's quicker than a stage 1 x 114 and feels it, suspension feels better than the first one but I've noticed that Harley suspension is all over the shop, you'll get two of the same model bog stock and they ride and handle different: the quick turning is the 18" front wheel that I actually don't like, mine has a 21" Breakout front wheel and it handles and tracks like it's on rails plus looks heaps better (the oem front wheel looks like crap, it looks like a rear wheel, they call it a Mantis) the only thing that it needs is better tyres (Night Dragons are next) I was going to put Ohlin's suspension on it but it doesn't need it unless to raise it a bit which would be good, I hate chicken strips (tracked BMW S1000RR's for 8 years) It does have the big cushy one piece seat though which helps as well as 4" further forward controls, I'm 5' 7" and with that seat is perfect, I've had the best of BMW's and over 50 Harleys and this as it is is the best yet, I might kit it to 128 with bigger throttle body, not sure about the cam, I just know it's not SE, it's heaps better... Last bike was TC Breakout with 100rwhp and this thing would flog it big time. Just shy of 70yo btw.
This is true mate I've noticed the same thing with suspension so hit and miss even if it's the same model bike.... weird. I agree aswell that the wheels on the sport glide look odd. Should see next week's vid lol I used more tyre on that bike than the sport glide and that really shocked me !!! Everyone has been saying the 128 kit is awesome I'd love to ride one of them. Thanks for watching 🤙
The 21 gives is it just over 1/4” more trail, it’s noticeable as soon as you take off and surprisingly doesn’t make the steering feel heavier. Apparently the 130 x 21 Harley uses is too wide for the rim, a 120 is what’s needed, also the 16” out back needs a 200 or better still an 18” x 180 or 200 or even a 17” wheel as there’s a much better choice in tyres: same the Breakout plus knock the rake back to 30* so the suspension works properly but most don’t care they prefer the cool look, myself I try to get the best compromise, been diy since the late 60’s when you had to either make it yourself or modify bits off other brands, now most can be had from a catalogue. Great to see Aussies having a go on here too, they can spin out all the Yank reviews they like but they’re rarely about what we want to hear and see plus love seeing it done on roads a bloke knows. Ride fast, stay safe.
Yeah I dig the look of this bike 😍 Not sure why it’s a 107 but it would be a Harley I would consider buying . After a pipe and a tune it would be sweet. 👍
Not sure either but everyone has been saying they are the best for the big bore kit and they make power very easy. But as someone else said... no replacement for displacement haha. Thanks for watching 🤙
I test rode one when I was shopping for a bike last year. Very easy to ride, but the wheels don't look right to me, and overall it just felt like there was 'something' missing that I can't even describe. But anyway, I bought a Breakout.
Ooooh that's going to be very hard to find ! If you know anyone up my way that has one get them to contact me I'd love to check it out. Thanks for watching 🤙
Great review! I have always been torn with this model. A great size bike with touring capability BUT it just missed the mark in a few key areas: Silly shaped saddle bags, gutless 107 engine, useless fairing just to name a few. If I was to get one I would do the following: footboards from a heritage or Fatboy, 2-2 exhaust, remove the fairing or even better put an FXRT style one on, up the engine capacity (114 or 119?) and put in a nice torquey cam. But then after doing all that I might as well just buy a Heritage for $5500 more???
Yeeeeah that's it mate I totally agree with you, it's abit of a funny one but so many people seem to love them ? I've heard the 107 is the best to get for a big bore kit though but now you're talking $$ I think I'd just get a low rider ST 😅 thanks for watching 🤙
Cheers mate, oh yes ! I've been trying to get my hands on one I promise haha. It's been abit of a mission waiting for one hopefully soon. Thanks for watching 🤙
35,000 klms on my 2021 Sport Glide. Trouble free riding and mine has Stage 1 tune with heavy breather with 2 into 2 Vance and Hines Big Radius. Tossed the mini batwing for a Memphis Shades El Paso sport screen and it’s a great tourer; or everything off and it’s a blast around town street hopper. Great bike and 107 tuned is more than enough. And I keep up with my mate’s 114 Fat Boy no problems at all, plus I’m getting better fuel economy on rides than his 114 where I’m getting about an extra 50klms range per tank of gas. 107 vs 114 conversations ? … naff, nothing in it. 😎👍
That's awesome mate. Ridden not hidden, yeeeew! Did you notice a big difference in power when you got the work done ? That's so good to hear I appreciate the feedback very very interesting 🤔 I've also heard they are the best motor for the big bore kit and make power easy as. Thanks for watching
@ Mate, everything improved with the Stage 1 and new pipes. Gearing is so much more effective and I can actually use 6th from about 80klm/hr and roll on nicely without changing down. Before the tune there was no use for 6th at 80klms/hr as it was just too lean a mix and the motor choked in 6th at 80klm/hr roll ons. So less changing gears and better air, torque and pick up overall. Getting the air into the motor with a Stage 1 was very obvious in pick up. HD Tempe (NSW) did my tune and I’m also getting better fuel economy on trips and highway riding is 4.6-4.8 litres/100klms which is also an improvement on economy ( go figure?? But it runs better and less fuel). The pipes are bad arse and make noise but people know I’m there, or coming.😂 I don’t feel the need for Stage 2 as the throttle response is smooth and I just don’t want to lose that creamy smooth throttle response with a lumpy cam (even though there are mild torque cams available ). I think Stage 1 on the M8 with a bike as light as a Sport Glide is all you really need to do to find the sweet spot. I also find it revs quicker and it’s smoother at constant touring speed and the 107 definitely runs cooler than the 114 and 117 (I’ve ridden 114 and a Low Rider ST 117 and first thing I noticed, especially on the LR ST 117, was the heat slowly cooking my right leg). In summary, I think I’ve got the duck’s nuts with my current set up. Next challenge is to see 100,000klms on the clock. 😎👍
@ price? They’re getting out of reach for most enthusiasts! Im assuming the 107 is cheaper. What’s worse than sitting at the lights on a 107 and someone pulls up on a 117?
@daniellehewitt3305 yeah that is true... I'd love harley to do some sort of re work with there pricing it's ridiculous... I definitely can't afford a brand new bike.
I had a demo ride at my local dealer and really rated it. Could I live with one? If I was lucky enough to live in a huge open country like Australia or the US then yes, definitely. But I live in Scotland and it's more suited to my Softail Custom!
That's awesome that you got to give them a crack, ahhh yes that makes sense mate. I hope the weather is good for you at the moment, we've been getting alot of rain and now it's hot AF.... thanks for watching 🤙
Aren't these only available overseas? I believe they got discontinued in America in 2021. I still like the looks of the SG better than the Lowrider ST. The front fairing on the ST is just plain ugly.
Yeah I believe Matt laidlaw said they didn't sell very well over there so they got discontinued but they seem to be popular here I don't know why. Really !!! Dayum man I love the low rider st haha it's cool to see everyone's personal preference. Thanks for watching 🤙
Great looking bike no doubt. But what i will say is..WTF were they thinking putting difference sized bags on.Ive heard the reason the exhaust was in n the way apparently. In that case why didn't they just make the other 1 the same size? I might email HD engineers with a copy of the Oxford dictionary definition of "Symmetrical"🤓Cheers Gnarly keep up 6he good work.
Oh wow wtf ! I totally missed thaton this bike.... they did the same with the low rider ST aswell.... who in the world would think that's a good idea 😡🤬 we all want a bike to look good and having uneven sized bags is a terrible start.
Ugghhh, they still havent ditched those wheels?! Those wheels kill the looks and look like something off a 80s import cruiser. They killed it off here in the states quickly, though it seemed like a good bike. Most here would pop for the LRST over this.
@Gnarly_Harley Yeah, I always hated them. I thought they would have ditched them. Itd be a much better looking bike with a more simple design. For sure. That bike just never took off here, it was kinda an oddball like the dyna switchback.
I'm confused. I was under the impression that all "Glides" were Tourers (Street-Glide, Road-Glide, Electra-Glide & Road King) I haven't heard of a Sport-Glide, but looking at your thumbnail, I was expecting a stripped down (bobbed) Street-Glide, & I was excited! What fuckery is this, HarveyDanielson? I'm assuming Harvey Danielson are trying to rid themselves of the leftover stock of 107 engines? Disappointed that they only went with a single front disc brake. I assumed a "Sport-Glide" would be equipped with dual front disc brakes. My Electra-Glide has Harvey Danielson bags that fit perfectly into the panniers & tour pack. So just pack everything into your bags, & drop the bags into the panniers/tour pack. So much easier than pulling out one item at a time. If they don't make them anymore, you could get custom bags made up. Disappointed that the fairing is only a cosmetic piece. I think you should have done a comparison test with it off & on just to make sure. So how does it compare to the triple disc braked Lowrider ST? I am getting the impression that the Lowrider ST might be the better option. Happy trails, Cowpoke
Well, the sport glide has been around for ages..... It is a great bike, it was never available with the 114. Maybe you have no clue about harleys or you simply cannot afford one. Jealousy can be a bitch!!
Yeeeah look I'm not sure where it lays, its got the sporty feel it feels light as when throwing it through the twisties and has a touch of tourer with the bags. BUT apparently it got discontinued in the US for not selling very well... Feedback from owners here are saying they they are an awesome motor and make power very easily... But as someone else said there's no replacement for displacement haha That's a great idea I should of taken the fairing off and given it a crack without... Yeah I still absolutely highly rate the low rider ST and would be choosing that but it's personal preference I guess. Apparently these are very popular here in aus. It was a great all rounder and it did surprise me that's for sure. And for the price it's great. Thanks for watching 🤙
It's all good, I prefer to rode them as stock as possible so I can compare to the rest if that makes sense. Good choice mate it's a bloody cracking bike I agree great value for money. Thanks for watching 🤙
Oop there's me peg haha. When it's naked kinda looks like an older model fatboy. Just with the big single headlight. Awsome review. Indian sport chief for the next one
Hahaha found the pegs alot 😬 yeah the naked version looks alright hey. Appreciate it, ahh yes I'll see if I can get the indian review done for ya. Thanks for watching 🤙
I have a 2021 with stage 1. I think they are a great little bike , certainly different to my 96 cube softail with stage 2. Let's be honest mate..... No Harley feels like they have any power unless you can hear them 😜. May have felt better with pipes.... 👍
That's good to hear Peter, thanks for the feedback. Haha look you're right 😅 although the CVO ST I felt the power maybe only exception off the show room floor haha but it's $$$$. The sport glide was a heap of fun. Thanks for watching 🤙
Please forgive the fact that I'm not very knowledgeable about Harley-Davidson models, etc. Is this Sport Glide built on the same frame as the STREET and ROAD GLIDE'S? Thanks Very Much for your time! 😊 🙏 Just Sayin'🤬
That's alright I'm still learning every single day there is so much to know 😅 they have many different frames. The sport glide is a softtail so it's different to the touring models. It shares the same frame as the low rider and breakout for example 😁 hope that helps and thanks for watching 🤙
I think you’re not reviewing the bike for what it is... it all depends what kind of ride you are looking for. Perfect for relax short or long rides, but not a sport bike, despite its name 😉. Just made a 3000 km trip with mine and it is perfect for that 👍
Yeah this may be true but it's just my opinion aswell so it won't be accurate depending on the person, I have to compare it to other Harley's I've ridden. I try to keep the review as short as I can, I could go into more depth about that sort of thing but it just drags the vid out. I still think I gave it a good wrap though, it's a great bike. I agree it's a great all rounder. I just seen one of the highway near por maq 2 days ago and it had a bat wing fairing big screen and everything!!! It was bloody awesome full tourer mode. Thanks for watching and merry Christmas 🤙
@ they are a great bike , ride is extremely comfy just the aesthetics that let it down although a 107 isn’t a deal breaker how good would a 114 or 117 be in there !!!
I think that's what makes them great. You can grow into them and upgrade the engine. Mine has stage 2 with the repper cam and puts out 120hp. It does the quarter mile in about 12 seconds and pulls hard all the way. I think it's a great all round bike
Thanks for the review man, seriously considering a Sport Glide so it was good to get your thoughts :)
No worries at all mate, it was a great all rounder just need a stage 2 and shell be sweet I reakon. Thanks for watching 🤙
Replied to the duplicate 😅 both comments help though. Thanks for watching 🤙
Great review, my mate has one with stage one. Good bike, he leaves me for dead in the twisties! Safe riding.
Cheers mate, oh wow that's bloody awesome haha they do handle alright I imagine even better with a slight suspension raise I hit too many times haha. Thanks for watching 🤙
I own one. Best bike ever, the 107 is a bit of a downer. But that’s the motor you want for a big bore kit.
That's good to hear mate, it is a great bike seems very versatile. Cheers for your honest feedback I appreciate that glad I didn't miss the mark I need to be honest with these things. Ahhh true ! It's all planned from harley 🤣 thanks for watching 🤙
I just picked up a 2024 sports glide with stage 2. Its an awesome bike
Hell yeah mate, have you been on a stock one ? Is it a huge difference? Thanks for watching 🤙
@ I have noticed a considerable difference
@@ragnorak13 awesome, that's great to hear. Seems to be a very popular motor to modify
Great review, will sell very quickly at that price...I'd like to see you do a long term review on what it's like to live with a Pan America...
All good mate no hate taken , your just sayin it how you see it and I'm good with that. Ride on Brother
Hey Matt the sport glide looks like a great dual purpose bike I would do a air cleaner and exhaust and a tune would wake up the motor
@ Geelong Harley Davidson are fabulous and that’s from someone that doesn’t own a Harley. Great dealership.
it's a LowRider ST with a smaller fairing and smaller engine (Plus forward controls).... i was seriously tempted to buy one of these but the 117 in the FXLRST seemed like the better option... these Sport Glides are oddly popular, I see HEAPS of them out on the roads every week.... guessing it's the price point that makes them so popular.... the 107 with a stage 2 is a really good solid reliable and quick engine... from what I'm told the 107 actually makes it's power quicker than a 114 anyway... but there's no substitute for cubic inches so the 114 will pull away from it soon enough... another good review mate, well done
I had a Sport Glide before my Street Glide, I really loved that bike & still miss it! Was sooooo comfy!! 👌
Everyone bloody loves them !!! I did had a ball on it, surprised me that's for sure 😅 oddly feels light as a feather to throw around. Thanks for watching 🤙
@Gnarly_Harley Yeah I loved the lightness of it, felt really well balanced! Mine had stage 1 done, had enough poke for me 👍
I had one the first year they came out. It's a great bike. If you put a cam slip ons and, the download, it runs much better.
Oh really, that's good to know ! I appreciate the feedback. Definitely seems to be a popular machine. Thanks for watching 🤙
I have the 2018 Ultra Limited with the 107, has the stage 2 torque cam, Vance and hines big bore slip on's bigger air filter and tune,, 95hp at the tyre and its more than enough to murder the traffic 😁
Oh hell yeah mate that sounds like the ultimate package ! That's great numbers for sure. Good to hear some feedback on the 107. Thanks for watching 🤙
Advan black sell a kit for this model so that you can fit the lowrider st fairing, actually looks mint.
Oh really !!! That would be pretty sick but I think I'd just go with the low rider ST 🤔 that's just me though. Thanks for watching 🤙
Het Matt... I liked the looks of this motorbike. My favorite part is the looks of the exhaust pipes. Reminds me of the old Fat Bob, but without the twin headlights. Like others have mentioned... this is the perfect first Harley Davidson for new riders. Another excellent review Matt!!! John...
Hey John, that's true mate I didn't even notice that. I think I agree with you on that it goes okay. Thanks for watching 🤙
Great bike the wife rides one got a stage 2 by farrows at Nambour made a big difference happy wife happy life😁
That's awesome to hear mate I appreciate the feedback, I thought a stage 2 would wake them up abit ! Yeeeew up farrows 👌 thanks for watching 🤙
Hi Matt another great review looks pretty cool. Don’t mind the quality of the sound It’s better than most people on the 107 a mate put in a stage one kit in he’s happy as Larry didn’t have to spend thousands. He’s happy with it. and it sounds like a Harley.
Thanks mate, oh that's good to hear I'd like to hear one with some pipes on it. Thanks for watching
I love this bike. I am planning to buy this next year.
Cheers mate, she goes alright but compared to everything else it was abit "meh" still a great bike and for the price !!! Thanks for watching 🤙
Nice review mate. would be good to see you review a night rod, do some powerskids get the blood pumping
Ahhhh man !!! Yes please I'd love to review a night rod. I'll see if I can get hold of one hey. Idk about the skids part I can't ride that good ! Thanks for watching 🤙
Thanks for being honest mate , it Will be interesting to see the updates on the softails for 2025 in jan ...
@@Gnarly_Harley tried on your Facebook page it won't let me send it
@@Gnarly_Harley it's not my Facebook page it's sent on , because me being in a major1 percent club I don't have a page. It has been sent to you now
I have a 2019, bought in new. I’ve have had a lot of modifications done. I like the motorcycle.
That's awesome mate, thanks for the feedback I like hearing from owners of the bikes. Did you do engine work ? If so is it way better than stock ?
Thanks for watching 🤙
@ I did small things that paid big . Cam, lifters, exhaust and air cleaner.
No worries mate, ride safe👊🏻
That is very handy
Thanks for watching 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley yeah tbh I did not test ride the 114 so I'm not really qualified to compare 😁 One of my best friends used to live in Brisbane for a couple of years, that's what I thought if immediately when I heard you saying "Scheiße" 🤝
@derproberaumfahrer3880 ahhh okay haha that's all good. Oh really 😅 that's great. Hope you have a great day. Thanks again
Love the sport glide, I would get one of I didn't have my Deluxe 👍
They are a great all rounder that's for sure 😁 thanks for watching 🤙
I test rode one when I was shopping for a bike last year. Very easy to ride, but the wheels don't look right to me, and overall it just felt like there was 'something' missing that I can't even describe.
But anyway, I bought a Breakout.
A couple people have mentioned the wheels ad now I hate them 😅🤣 you're right it's abit off.
Ooooh great choice the head Turner! Thanks for watching 🤙
We need a 2025 Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead.
Ooooh that's going to be very hard to find ! If you know anyone up my way that has one get them to contact me I'd love to check it out. Thanks for watching 🤙
He means he wants Harvey Danielson to make retro bikes with the oldschool styled engines @@Gnarly_HarleyBut that will never happen
@MicahBell_1860 oh I must have read that wrong. Yeeeeah I don't think they're going to do that 😅 they're woke and going electric remember!
@@Gnarly_Harley They probably won't unless it's a special edition but I can dream.
Yeah it’s ok but I’ll stick to me fatbob so happy with it with just a cam & v&h big shots great handling .. good reviewing though mate..
Agree mate, you can't beat a fatbob !!! New or old 😁 thanks for watching 🤙
Hey mate, great content. Can you review the Heritage at some point.
Didn’t even know they still made them with a 107! Why?
I know right.... someone please explain! Gotta be a reason 🤔 thanks for watching 🤙
Yea ,love it even if it is a 107
I had a ball on the sport glide, definitely a cool option and love that you can take the bags and fairing off so easily. Thanks for watching 🤙
Long gone from the USA market and it still only has the 107.
HD will stop selling the Sport Glide end of the 2024 in the EU too
@@GunnarMUC I really liked it, except for the 107.
Yeeeah idk what the go with that is but anyway haha. Good all rounder definitely needs a stage 2.
Lol few people mentioned the wheels now I hate them the more I look 🤣
Yeah I definitely agree the LRST is my pick easily. Thanks for watching 🤙
@Gnarly_Harley Yeah, I always hated them. I thought they would have ditched them. Itd be a much better looking bike with a more simple design.
For sure. That bike just never took off here, it was kinda an oddball like the dyna switchback.
The bike looks alright but nothing special, but what I would like to see is you on a raked out chopper and doing a wheelie outlawman😁
I agree, hahaha imagine that 😅 okay I need to find a chopper and give this a go 🤣 thanks for watching 🤙
Yes @joeladd6023 my jealousy does get the better of me sometimes. How many Harvey Danielsons do you own?
Yeeeah look I'm not sure where it lays, its got the sporty feel it feels light as when throwing it through the twisties and has a touch of tourer with the bags.
BUT apparently it got discontinued in the US for not selling very well...
Feedback from owners here are saying they they are an awesome motor and make power very easily...
But as someone else said there's no replacement for displacement haha
That's a great idea I should of taken the fairing off and given it a crack without...
Yeah I still absolutely highly rate the low rider ST and would be choosing that but it's personal preference I guess.
Apparently these are very popular here in aus. It was a great all rounder and it did surprise me that's for sure. And for the price it's great.
Thanks for watching 🤙
It should have the 117
Mate I agree, no replacement for displacement
Should have waited till they changed the mufflers and intake, Im buying a second hand one in a few weeks, so much bike for the money
It's all good, I prefer to rode them as stock as possible so I can compare to the rest if that makes sense. Good choice mate it's a bloody cracking bike I agree great value for money. Thanks for watching 🤙
Gday mate hope you’re doing well and keeping dry
G'day, thanks mate I've been soaked the last 2 rides unfortunately 😬 hope you're well also
Oop there's me peg haha.
Can’t stand that front fairing atleast it is easy to remove
Yeah it'd abit different but atleast it doesn't look the same as everything else haha.
I use to love it but not anymore. I prefer the fat bob or low rider s / st
That's understandable mate, I agree with you I much prefer either of those 2. Thanks for watching 🤙
Please forgive the fact that I'm not very knowledgeable about Harley-Davidson models, etc.
Is this Sport Glide built on the same frame as the STREET and ROAD GLIDE'S?
Thanks Very Much for your time! 😊 🙏
Just Sayin'🤬
That's alright I'm still learning every single day there is so much to know 😅 they have many different frames.
The sport glide is a softtail so it's different to the touring models. It shares the same frame as the low rider and breakout for example 😁 hope that helps and thanks for watching 🤙
Harley builds bikes to upgrade and sells the upgrades.
That's a very good point isn't it...
Mmm yeh nah yeh yeh nah yeh nah 😂 not for me good video bruv 😎
Hahahaha I'll stick with my fatbob too mate 😅 thanks for watching 🤙
The fairing is a no.
Haha alot of people hate it 🤣
I think you’re not reviewing the bike for what it is... it all depends what kind of ride you are looking for.

Thanks for watching 🤙
Yeah it needs the 114 minimum.
That's what I was thinking mate 🤔 thanks for watching 🤙
Not impressed with wheels
107 for the ladies perhaps 😂
So many people have said that 😅 haha savage 🤣
@ they are a great bike , ride is extremely comfy just the aesthetics that let it down although a 107 isn’t a deal breaker how good would a 114 or 117 be in there !!!
I think that's what makes them great. You can grow into them and upgrade the engine. Mine has stage 2 with the repper cam and puts out 120hp.
It does the quarter mile in about 12 seconds and pulls hard all the way.
I think it's a great all round bike
Looked good naked. Otherwise its a no from me
Yeah I agree it does look better naked, don't we all 🤣🤣 thanks for watching 🤙
Its a cool bike, but those wheels are terrible.
Haha I agree, I'm now not a fan 🤣
