I was 67 before I learnt to ride a bike, and I have had my Sport Glide just over a year and it makes me smile every time I Gert on it. Like all Harleys they are not light but at 70 and only 5'6" it's a breeze & just awesome for road trips. Grate review, love you're sense of humour👍 (Ive been missing out on the pies)

How do the forward pegs fit your legs on the sport glide. The sport glide is my favorite Harley next to the lowrider s. But, I'm only 5' 4“ and curious if my legs would be way too straight and uncomfortable.

Good honest test, I have had my Sport Glide for 3years now , haven't toured as much as I wanted to do (Covid ) but still done over 15000 miles. 8 of those Touring Spain in two goes, Love the bike, comfortable just enough vibes to let you know what your riding. Had some issues but noting that has put me off. Never mind the myths and attitude towards HD this particular model is super, Plus you have two bikes in one ,Panniers and screen Tourer, 2mins later Naked with panniers and screen off.

I retired at 60 and moved to n. Ireland from the US in 2020. Sold my Speed Triple in the States and got a Ducati SS, a modestly powered and not uncomfortable sporty bike. I rented a Sportglide in Edinburgh in '21 and went to a HD rally in North of England with my brother in law who's in a HD chapter in Scotland. I really enjoyed the experience and the bike. Who knows, maybe we one time before it's too late I might end up with one. The Sportglide would be top of list. The looks really appeal to me.

I own a 2021 Sport Glide deluxe, got a great deal on a slightly used (871miles) on the clock machine. I've almost up to 5k miles on the bike now after owning since April. Already had it tuned to Stage 1 and a Rinehart slipon exhaust. Nice and meaty..not as loud as Cobra's or Vance & Hines.... Love the grunt this bikes makes and so comfortable. Love it...done a lot of 300+mile daily rides and no issues. Oh, I don't scrape the pegs..but I am constantly scrapping the heel of my boots and worn then backs down when cornering.. ;)

Thanks for such a fabulous review.
I am currently researching the Sport Glide for my next bike. I am sitting my full license next week which means I can move up from my HD Street 500. I am needing a bike that can handle many twisties as well as open road riding. My fear was that I wouldn’t be able to reach the pegs as I am 5’5 and that it would be too heavy. After reading some of the comments I feel a lot more confident at giving the Sport Glide a go.
P.S. I’m a Harley girl through and through but I have never eaten a pork pie 🤣
Must be a UK thing (I am in New Zealand).

I love the sport glide..... I have a grey one! I used to ride all sort of bikes, the last were adventure bikes; the sport glide is just as heavy but quite an easy, gentle giant.... I bought it in Uppingham, my very first new bike ever!! As you mentioned, I have spent thousands on it, lots of custom parts and a stage one upgrade (more and more torque!). The beauty of an harley is that you can really make it your own: thousands of accessories and spares for all tastes! Expensive? May be, but they really hold their value. Easy to service and look after too..... The dealer is great too..... Great review, nice roads I know very well and..... Lucky with the weather!!!

Having owned a Fatboy and a Road king, my biggest advice would be to only buy a Harley as a second bike first, because i guarantee 90 out off 100 will miss their original bike after the novelty as worn off and realise its limitations. Oh and make sure you keep some cash in reserve for your servicing bills. But if you can afford it and want a change now and then on a sunny day and have it as a second bike then why not.

just a tip mate from an American (tho my dad is English), who rides Harleys and has this bike as well as a road king special…. don’t call saddlebags panniers… sounds wimpy. call it bags. bagger. Harley Riders pride themselves on the American aspect of the branding. Call it foot pounds of torque, call the weight by pounds etc. you need a reach seat and you will be close to the bars and comfortable for miles.
