    Real people who love SF!!! I also appreciate the different open and honest opinions about the city from those who live there.

    A block in a half a couple of campers settled on the sidewalk leaving trash. Had to deal with the city for several weeks to get the sidewalks back to normal. Just exiting for their return.

    The only one I'd considered a Local is the guy who grew up in the East Bay Area, with the woman from Sacramento as a Nor Cal Local. The reset of them are transplants.

    • @livinginsanfranciscoca
      @livinginsanfranciscoca  22 часа назад

      The majority of people who live in SF are transplants. The point of the video was to get the perspective of what people think of SF who chose to live in the city.

    Getting biased opinions of real estate professionals who have serious financial interests in people living in SF is not the TRUTH.

      I see your point. It's hard to trust someone you don't know that is making. money off of people believing SF is a nice place to live. That is why I thought it would be fun to have other people who live here talk about SF. I can assure you that if people didn't believe that SF was a nice place to live there is no amount of assurances that a Realtor could provide them to convince them otherwise. We are not here to convince anyone of anything. We are trying to provide some other view points to the doom and gloom loop that is in the news which has a motive of selling headlines based on over exaggerations. If SF was as terrible as the news headlines make it out to be, no one would live here!

      I can trust what I've personally witnessed and the experiences of fellow San Franciscans who are victims of rampant unchecked crime. I know first hand the changes that have taken place in San Francisco over the last 16 years when I first moved to the city. I disgaree with the use of this "doom loop" narrative as it is dismissive of the pervasive problems happening around the city. People should see the news coverage as an indicator that city officials need to do more to improve safety and hold criminals accountable instead of letting them run free to terrorize the community. Ignoring these issues and pretending like it's not happening is part of the reason things have gotten to this point. I agree with Prishant in the video who said there's a need to shift away from far-left policies. Lastly, lots of people around the world live in places that are terrible for any number of reasons. There's literally luxury apartments in the Tenderloin. So, that is not factual nor an actual point.
      If you feel the news is exaggerating, why not speak to the hard working business owners who have been robbed repeatedly and get their opinions of the city? @@livinginsanfranciscoca

    • @livinginsanfranciscoca
      @livinginsanfranciscoca  5 месяцев назад

      I don't think any one disagrees that criminals need to be held accountable and I personally haven't talked to anyone who doesn't want to see some changes. I think the unanimous opinion is that SF does have challenges and yes the news needs to report on those challenges and everyone is hopeful they can be fixed. I've personally invested large amounts of money into supporting causes that address such issues, as have many people I know. But when I travel around the country and people ask me if "I'm ok" because I live in SF, something is wrong with the news coverage. Many people want to see SF fail and also exaggeration in headlines sells. There are many people including me that love and believe in the city and are rooting for it and enjoying what is great about it while we are here.

    I fell in love with SF when I visited the first time in 1987 and I still love this city more than anything. Every city has their problems and SF is no worse than any others, and in a lot of ways it's better off. I've lived in cities all my life and I wouldn't consider living anywhere else.

    Thanks for this video. Not sure how I hadn't found your channel before today. I've lived in SF since the early 80's. Thanks for talking about the City in a realistic manner instead of the "doom loop" idiocy one constantly hears in the media. The City ROCKS!!!! Greetings for the Richmond Dist.

    These interviews are mis guided. Your interviewing one section of economy status people who are not living in a war zone of SF. Of course, life is wonderful if you stay within your little circle. But if you go out to rest of SF, you will see all the damages all these people done to the city. They only think of themselves, not the rest of residents. This is what is wrong with this type of peole in the society. If its not in my back yard, I dont care what happens in the front of the house.

      I'm sorry you feel that way. Thank you for watching our videos and taking the time to comment. Yes, these are all people who own houses in SF, but the price ranges and the neighborhoods are quite diverse. All the way from $800k to over $5m and locations span across the full city. You are correct that everyone who is buying or renting chooses the best location they can afford to live in. I know all of these people personally and they are good people who care very much about others.

      As a native San Francisco, who can no longer afford to live in San Francisco, but still works in tourism in San Francisco I have to say your comment is basically the reverse of what this video is. This video is definitely economically skewed. However San Francisco is an incredible city that can’t be summed up by 270 acres of the tenderloin. It isn’t a war zone and to describe it that way suggest you don’t really value representing San Francisco accurately but more are just intent on stewing in your own negative view of what San Francisco means to you.
      Homelessness is bad in San Francisco and has been since 2007. But guess what? It was bad when Gavin Newsom was a liberal mayor who introduce the care, not cash position. It was bad during Willie Brown, the former mayor. It was bad during the one conservative mayor we had before Art Agnos. in fact, homelessness currently is estimated to be 8,000 someone people. The 90s when I was born. The low estimate was 6000 and the highest estimate Was 18,000. This was when we had 56,000 less people living in SF. Fentanyl maybe the drug of choice now. But in the 90s, it was morphine.
      The main difference now is we have a media who is so obsessed with Clickbait, San Francisco, and harping on a fraction of the city as opposed to seeing the city as a hole.
      And if you think I’m wrong, I invite you to check out this link about homelessness in San Francisco by the CDC .
      www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/00015783.htm#:~:text=In%20San%20Francisco%20(1990%20population,6000%2D18%2C000%20persons%20are%20homeless.

    tell the truth that homeless people high crime. these are very rich people not the average people. no one can afford to live there. move away from that city.

      Thank you for watching. Yes, it's true that not everyone can afford SF. It is, unfortunately, an expensive city. This are every day people who live in SF across all price points. You would get a very similar sample of people if you were to poll a random sample walking around most neighborhoods in the city.
