Thank you for doing this video! Just about to start fooling with my fresh build with Howard’s cam, roller rockers, valve job, dual springs. It’s lacking on some power in certain ranges. You feel it fall on it’s face. So conservative on timing.
Hey Rusty, Found your channel through Thomas Beyers HPTuners videos for his Dakota and Jeep. Found out we have a mutual friend in Legacy Performance when I seen your work vehicle. Just picked up an MPVI2 to tune my 408 Magnum in my 00’ Ram so I appreciate the content.
I'm looking at getting Hp tuner software to tune the O2 sensors, cats, and fuel vapor evap system off of my 2001 Jeep xj. Can Hp tuner software do that for me? (I dont care about the legalities of it) If so can you point me in the right direction of where you got your software etc.?
If you but the mvpi2 it will come with the cables you need to connect to a laptop you go on hptuners.com and download the vcm suite all the instructions come with the mvpi2 to set it up its easy to get it up and going you can dowan load vcm suite with out buying anything there is some demo stuff you can play with and its the same program you use to tune and scan gonon there web site and down load it and check it out
@@Rusty411 honestly it'll probably work fine depending on your goals. I know hptuner has zero safety nets and zero inputs or outputs. Just makes everything more difficult and dangerous "on parts"
Yeah I'm going to only run 7 psi and 54 mm turbo with 83 ar back housing so it will boost slow gonna use boosted performance tubo manifold and have meth on it already I want to build an engine just for boost then may go a diff route with the tuning at that time maybee lol
@@legacyperformance9982 Im running 8lbs reliably. 50/50 e85/91. Ive been running this for about a year and no issues YET. Ive ran up to 12lbs bashing through the desert but dont want to push my luck. Just curious what the long terms effects would be with e85. I usually run it empty or close to and fill with 91 after every tank. I run a boost reference fuel pressure regulator.
I think you'd need to contact FAST for that depending on the system, they do have software downloads available. Send them an email, they've always been helpful for me.
Just don't go buying the new MPVI3 interfaces from HPTuners, because those currently cannot tune these older ECUs that the original MPVI or the MPVI2 can tune without issues.

Dose it do different years and different engines. Thank you for your help.
1996 and up OB2
I have question Which connecter you use to connect to the car?
gonna have to see how this works, gonna run a similar setup on my 96
Can you tell me what program you are using and the best place to buy it please. I'm sorry it's a hp tuner program. Right.or a ecm or pcm rewriter.

The vcm scanner works with you. In my car doesn’t work can you help me ?
Can you increase the max rpm?
timing a engine that has a dizzy needs more advance
our jeep4.0 has COP which needs less timing advance
Thanks for the info. Seems like Ross-Tech for the VW. $300 - saved lots of money.
Might get this next...
Looking forward to the next episode...
Hey! Can i pay you to develop a remote tune?
Have you got hp tuners v1 (cable) or v2 (Bluetooth)?
I have the cable set
Can the skim be removed with hp tuners?
Skim ?
Man you should've went with mega squirt. Especially if you're going turbo.
Yeah probably but I'm going to try and make this work

@@Rusty411 have you considered e85 as primary fuel vs adding meth injection?

Hp Tuners finally work for jeep now? I have a stroker in my jeep with a FAST efi system. I wonder if this would hook up to that ecu.
I'm not sure on that one
Not sure on that one
Their was very little tuning support for 95 and older Jeeps a few years ago when I got the stroker. That's why I went with FAST EZ EFI.
@@DjDubStak yeah It probably runs great with that system on it

Any one know where can I download the original file for my xj jeep 1996? Any one pls tell me 😢
