    Everybody who is here for the Functional Pattern stuff, make sure you watch Kyle Dake at the Olympic Trials on April 4th and 5th. He's a four time NCAA champ and he has an ENORMOUSLY difficult task ahead of him simply getting to the Olympics, but I bet he does it. Then you can root for him at the Olympics in Tokyo!

    This is unreal! I'm currently on week 3 of the 10 week course (allthough I've spent about 6 weeks with the material so far). I'm coming in with some pretty serious movement deficiencies and recovering from a couple of barbaric surgeries... I'm desperate to learn to move well and without pain. I'm truly excited to follow this path as far as my body will let me and I'm saving for the HF in April!

      Nice keep it up work with multiple different practitioners don't start doing anything crazy untell youv fixed you're dysfunctions it takes time patience and ego deflation but it's worth it. I'm 8 months into it and I'm going back to step one because I didn't take care of some issues and glute dysfunctions. Ego deflation embrace it

      I agree. I've switched to kettlebells, macebells and calisthenics as my workout of choice and stopped doing barbells altogether and I must say that my performance on the mats has improved a lot. I'm also not as sure as I used to be.

    5 years ago I ordered 3 functional patterns workouts. It makes it easier for me to do these advances moves.
    Am 58 years old turning 59 in 2 months. I move like a 25 years old. No weight lifting. Functional Patterns Calisthenics n Animal Flow

    Kyle Dake is an absolute phenom! 4x national champ at 4 different weigh classes, Olympic Gold medalist, the list goes on. This style of training looks fun, And I may look into it but I have severe arthritis and most of my joints so I have a hard time even moving remotely close to that. Kyle probably moved like that before functional pattern training but I'm sure this helps a lot and makes it even better. It looks like so much fun to be able to move like that pain Free

      Invest in a few slam balls and you can replicate a lot of these moves. That's also my plan so I can incorporate these exercises in my routine.

      They were trained in boxing, swimming, climbing, running, wrestling, javelin-throwing, discus-throwing, military combat, gymnastics....and everything was put in specific phases like endurance, speed, recovery...very advanced for the time

      I’ve been waiting 15 years for this type of training. Real “warrior” training that also respected human movement and was sustainable. Back squats and burpees seems like it’s the way until you realize you’re biting yourself in the ass in the long run. Cannot wait to take my FP training to another level.
