These are great ideas and you did them very well. My favorite spread is the pumpkins and carrots. Orange is my favorite color and teal is my significant other's favorite color. It worked out amazing.
I think this is one of my favorite videos you have done so far. Beautiful color palettes. And adding stock paper is such a great idea!! I am definitely going to use it to cover some failed attempts in my sketchbooks
Hey Mel,I really love the idea of keeping everything simple , they are looking so nice together, and giving awesome fall vibes, and yes this video is super enjoying for an art lover like me, Thanks for sharing these adorable Ideas. I hope you that your health is ok, please take care of yourself. Have a nice day.🍁🍂🍁
The pumpkins 🎃 and carrots 🥕 turned out great. Gonna copy your idea at some point, but switching over to oils for awhile. And yes you do put in darks first w oil painting. Main idea is get the white gone w a base color, then block in your forms with darks, then mid tones and lights, then details. It's the same with acrylics. Ugly stage happens when you just block in everything and there are no details yet.
To protect my gouache paintings I use Dorian's Wax. It does leave a soft sheen when you buff it out, but I like that. It makes the darks darker however if you're specifically after the totally matte finish that's a hallmark if gouache then a wax medium isn't for you.
cool, this also shows me that i mostly think to difficult, when i want to paint something. And than ending up, not painting anything haha. But it can also just be some carrots, or pumpkins ^_^ I can think a little simpeler haha.
I think if you are just doing stuff for your own sketchbook and not publishing or selling anything then you can copy whatever you want as closely as you like.
Sure but then you can't even post it on social media! (unless you give credit & have permission from the OG artist) If it's like a diary and you never show it to anyone then nobody's gonna know anyways 😅
I use Dorlands Wax for protecting gouache. It will slightly darken the work though - although personally I like the enhancement this brings. m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51H8tHb2K+L._AC_SX679_.jpg

Thank you for your kind words 😊
These are some great ideas. Love the idea of a collage page with random pieces and things from a day out.
Dorland’s wax medium is a great way to stop gouache from transferring and also, makes it waterproof! Great video full of awesome ideas ☺️
Melanie! This is the exact content I needed! Thank you so much for sharing your gifts 🫶🏽

Great ideas, loved the pumpkins! Thanks for sharing your art. I like the brush (white handle) you used for gouache, which brand and size pls?

beautifullll
Thanks for all the ideas… I’m just starting to learn about using gouache. So is it better to only use one side of the page in a sketchbook?
I love that big black popsicle ❤ Wait, that sounds wrong 😂
Nice and chill video =)
Nice video !
Thank you 😊
🤗🤗🤗🤗
I've heard hair spray will seal the color in but don't know if that's true.
