Today we take a tour of the rarest type of alternative home! (in my opinion) a shipping container home! This shipping container house is a treat. At only 160sqft since its an 8ftx20ft container, Id consider this tiny house for sure. But the owners made this Airbnb feel a lot larger with all the added decking. Much needed and loved if you ask me.

I am ignorant with your culture in US. What is wrong with faith? In Asia, we are very proud of our faith. We are not embarass of our faith. Is it taboo to your culture to talk about religion?
@@bembolrocco3482 No, faith is very much apart of American life. I do believe Americans tend to compartmentalize areas of our life. Especially business and faith. I don't know where you are from but Americans do this in part because of America is a multiethnic extremely diverse nation. Traditionally, Americans tend to not mix religious and business. I'd be curious to know where you are from in Asia to give a better comparative perspective. I found it slightly surprising to find faith based merchandise here. I would think twice about supporting a channel whose religion may pose a threat to my own community. For example, most evangelicals in America vs the LGBTQ community. Unlike super homogeneous societies like China, Korea, or Japan, Americans must be more selective and deliberate about certain things. It is quite complicated to give the topic 8its due in a RUclips comment. Sorry for any rambling.

Isn't it this place wonderful? I would totally live in this shipping container tiny house full time. The tan wood & turquoise color is lovely. The rooftop deck is a must have to relax, morning coffee, romantic starry-night and enjoys the wonderful views. Totally love it! 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
The tiny house is beautifu and very cozyl but the location and the scenery is the winner here.. it's absolutely gorgeous with the fall season.. looks very peaceful too.. I would run around in that woods

Love the Bible study books. Every couple needs that in their lives with no doubt. I also loved the game room for everyone. Very nice touch. But the private hot tub takes the cake. Love love love this air bnb

They did a great job of using the space. I would change two things - 1 shower curtain so there is no break in the curtain especially where the water hits. Move AC/Heater over the faux fireplace.

I have access to some farm land with utilities and am planning to build a tiny home to live in temporarily. I was wondering, since many counties have strict building code and permits, is using a shipping container which is raised and not connected to an actual slab or foundation, does that make it more like a mobile home or RV ? Like does the normal inspection codes apply or is more like a RV type situation? I know here that anything over 200 sq ft needs permits, along with a y utilities. Since it's a prefab structure the container, does this make it inapplicable? Thanks for any information, I appreciate it!

Imagine trying to fit a week's worth of groceries in that mini fridge! Even a couple days would be a tight fit!
I would not like to imagine that. Lol. The lonest stay we have hard in that rental is 5 days.
You could always bring a cooler with some steaks, chicken, hamburgers, or hotdogs, etc... put things like eggs, drinks, condiments, etc in fridge.. I could stay here for one week easily with my husband.. the grill is a huge plus!

Levi: I was in your “neck of the woods” last week. We drove on the back roads from Zanesville to Chillicothe. Then dive south along the river valley to (32 ??) “The Appalachian Highway”, which we took west to Cincinnati. The scenery in the hills was beautiful. Big props to Ohio. Who knew it was so beautiful?

I always find the shipping container homes a little tight because of their width and ceiling height but the decking on this one adds an incredible amount of really usable space. Thanks for the excellent content - keep up the Good Work!

Randomly watching this and must say when I heard it was in Hocking Hills I got excited, I'm only 45 minutes away and have stayed in cabins there before. Lots of places to visit as well Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, etc.... Spend the day exploring nature and spend the evening relaxing in cabins and small getaways like this.

Super cute! I love that one game, it's like a tabletop shuffleboard thingy, a bar I used to go to had one. But that's brilliant to have that hang out place on site.

I wish there are other colors aside from blue. Some greenery perhaps.
We struggled with color on this one for sure..Each rental themes are different on the propery the yurts are boho decor. We tried to go for least amount of decor to not make it feel cramped. The footprint is small so wanted to make feel larger. Thanks for checking out.
We love greenery for sure! We do have 2 plants in there but didn't want to get carried away with the space so small we didn't want them to spill. In are yurts there are plants everywhere. But, thanks for suggestions we will look into adding some more maybe mounted to walls. :)

This would be the perfect place to visit in the fall when the leaves are changing colors and its not too cold to be outside in a hot tub! I wish there was a real bed tho but i guess if you are only staying for a few days, crashing on a couch is not that bad

Lots of showers Iike that in China. It’s great because it’s super easy to clean. You can spray the toilet down and it goes right down the drain.
And anyone using the toilet or sink after someone has showered is going to get their feet wet and track water throughout the house. Poor design under the guise of trying to be clever.
@@jm-bv1wh A simple fix would be to have flip flops or slipper by the bathroom door used exclusively for that room. But even the traditional American bathroom could benefit from a drain. All bathrooms in China have drains even the ones with a separate shower. It’s actually a genius design.

Great video. Amazing home. One small thing …something is either one of a kind or it isn’t. There are not degrees to the word “unique”. It could be “very rare” or “very unusual”. But if it’s unique that means nothing else is like it.
At first I didn't see the slight dip down in the bathroom until I re-watched this video, but still if that drain isn't working properly you're going to be flooding your kitchen/ living space. Also no windows and didn't see any air vent in that bathroom so I guess you would leave the door open to let it air out after every shower so mold doesn't grow in there??? Overall I like the concept and layout of the container home. A short stay like three day's to a week for sure, but to small to live in for more then that. A forty foot shipping container would give you more square footage to work with and make it more livable.

I have head of people making shipping container pools. Just cut the top out and buy a custom made liner to fit inside. I'm sure you could stack the pool container on top of the one with living space, but be sure to set it on a sturdy foundation to support the weight of the pool.

Love how they increased the space with the deck and the roof.. but why they are not using it wisely?
A real bed is so much needed. You can enclose the deck and use it as an extension.
So when I stayed in the rental it worked out to have it as a bed in evening and lounge area with couch in daytime. With the space being 8ft by 20ft you have to pick your battles. It originally had a Murphy queen bed on the wall and it did not flow well so we removed. Thanks for input for sure. Thanks for watching.
On the roof deck we didn't put anything else up there because we have had several guest lay up there watching stairs, daily yoga sessions and reading. So it not having a ton up there makes it so the guest can decide. But, you never know next summer we could change it.

Originally we considered the drawers having pulls. But, didn't want to catch clothes etc due to it being 8ft wide you really have to pros and cons everything we learned. But, to answer your question they open very smoothly you can open from putting your fingers on the sides, bottom or tops. Have a great night. Thanks for watching.
Man I love this house!!!! The only thing that did bother me was the location of the mini split. Being an HVAC guy I see a lot of issues with it being located in such a confined space like that. I would have relocated it But otherwise it's my dream house. I would add a steel building next to it for my shop to build wonderful toys.

If you were going to live in this size of a home full time, it would be ideal in a place where the weather is nice year around. Then, you could spend most of your time outside, and be inside when it rains and at night. It would also be nice to have an outdoor shower, so you wouldn't have all that moisture from showering inside every day. If I was going to live in this full time, I think I would need another 20' container just for storage.

Alot, of guest who stay in this one hang out on the deck playing games, cards and eating. Its nice to just have the nature and open air wild animals walking by. The niche on this rental is the micro space really. We could of stacked several containers on top of each other but we did surveys and a lot of guest had not experienced staying in a unit like this. There are 1k cabin rentals in this area so you definitely want to stand out. Thanks for input though we are always looking to improve guests stays. Have a great night. :)

I could never understand with tiny houses why do they put the TV so high on the wall when you're sitting down it's supposed to be eye level it's practically on the ceiling.
Hi Riccardo, we put the TV there due to the space being a micro living space that is 20ft by 8ft wide we did not want guest to damage it. So we opted to put the fireplace were tv should go to be safe. When your in it, it's nice because it pulls out and tilts down for viewing comfort then the fireplace is at your feet so super cozy! That mini split is not placed well should be in more open space like in the living space instead of behind a cabinet.... and I agree about tv being too high. My hubby and I are short lol.
