Thanks for the video - back in the dawn of time I worked out of the machine shop on a U.S. Coast Guard Cutter, and since we did not have any actual machinists, got to mess with the lathe from time to time. (No milling machine, sadly.) Been thinking about getting back into it, and am particularly fascinated with milling machines. Your videos (with good editing, "memes", etc.) is useful for learning the capabilities of this fairly inexpensive (and cute) little machine.
My MF70 doesn’t seem to miss steps. I used an Usovo kit (many years ago), nothing really special to it, and LinuxCNC running on ancient hardware. But it will be interesting to see how servos work in these machines.
Hey, I just watched all of your videos and I really like the modifications you made to your MF70 and your style of filming and narrating. Have you made any further mods since your last video and will you make videos on them too? And which 3d printer do you use and does it have any mods made to it? Might also be a very cool and interesting topic for future videos.
How deep of a cut can this little machine do in a block of aluminum? I guess anyway you can always flip the part to "double" the depth. Isn't it right?
Hi! Can I ask your for a bit of advice? I'm looking for a drill press for occasional use, and was thinking of TBM 220, but I looks like (since I'm already spending money and taking up shop space) I could drill holes just as well with the manual MF70... and also, at some point, get into milling or even CNC without getting another machine. Would you recommend going down this path? Cheers!
Maybe you can change for 17HS8401 stepper motors, they are the most powerfull of the Nema17 format. Or you can upgrade to Nema23 57HS5120B4 which does not require a lot of current and can work with your actual drivers.
Hello I am excited about your video, I would like to buy everything exactly the same! :-D What components do I still need? So the milling machine: -Proxxon MF70 CNC Ready -Fusion 360 Private License but which controller? Duet3d ? Do I need anything else? Would be mega happy about an answer. Cool videos! 😃

Are you planning on adding the fan add on piece to your thingiverse page?

Wow great work.... must be a good friend. I would NOT call this a fail at all
I was also hoping to milk this project for a video, so his need came at the right time.
Where have you been?
