What you guys have done for mma podcasting is next level. Like Luke said,” Don’t lose the fire.” When I’m financially stable enough I’ll buy a watch. For now drop more sweaters, it’s cold in Ny.
Agreed. Rampage is a really good host. He’s a great active listener, comes off very genuine, relaxed and funny. I’d like to see this podcast outside of MMA cuz they got the chops for it.
Rampage has been a great character in combat sports and super funny but I dig the fact he is reflective and takes responsibility for his part in past events. Telling Randy that he, Rampage, was being a baby and wishes he would have come spoke to Randy is one of the qualities that makes Rampage so likeable, Randy too.
It’s wild that you guys consistently have high quality guests on the podcast. Randy is a living legend and he’s a wealth of MMA knowledge and history. Had no clue that Rampage and Randy were on bad terms for a while but I’m glad they fixed it. It’s always better late than never, you only have one life!
What i love about this podcast is you see alot of legends in the game that you wouldnt hear from in major mma outlets like espn. It kinda sucks having some of your favorite fighters for years growing up just kinda disappear after retiring
I was just thinking about Randy and how he was doing. Last I saw was him and a picture of a kitten like 10 years ago. Lo and behold this pops up and good too see him thriving. One of the ppl I looked up to growing up
UFC and DANA WHITE might try to erase this legend. But he remains in our hearts and minds, forever. Thank you, Randy Couture. You have truly been and inspiration and someone to look up to for many of us here. Captain American, Baby! RANDY!! RANDY!!! RANDY!!
I drew a charcoal picture of Randy after his 3rd Vitor fight. Took it to the Rose Garden where his Sport Fight promotion was holding a show, June 2005. I just graduated high school. Took it in to the arena before the fights and he was gracious enough to sign it and shake my hand 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 that hand was Massive!!
@ oh yeah that’s mma , guys who fought it out often end up training together after, or even before, good times!! Team Quest was a bad ass piece of MMA History!!! Don’t let Dana tell you otherwise
i’m glad he got to come on here and share his side of many stories, it’s crazy how the UFC tried erasing this man but he will never be erased from all the real fans, thank you Randy.
I met Randy when he was down in NOLa, filming The Expendables 2… I worked on Bourbon St, and he came into the club I was working. Things I learned while Randy was in the club: 1- His “favorite song” is Tainted Love 😂 2- Even though I’ve met several “stars”, Randy was the only one that made me nervously stutter. 😂 3- He is SO approachable and humble! 4- We spoke before he left, and I asked him to “slam me”. He looked at me weird, and replied “Really??” I looked at the floor of the stage (I worked) and said, “Well, the floor is kind of hard.” He laughed, put me in a Thai Clinch, kneed me in the ribs… and made my YEAR!
I was 25, former collegiate baseball player, bored to death of the mlb, when i was invited to a duffys sports bar, late 2006 to view ufc 65... holy cow, it was love at first sight! Gsp vs hughes, sylvia vs monson... i couldnt consume enough mma!!! When couture came back to fight sylvia??? Wow... goosebumps watching that live... and rampage? You temporarily broke our hearts when u knocked out chuck in 2007, but we fell in love with you as well in short order! Mma not the same as when you both reigned supreme in your primes...
The quintessential definition of a fighter's fighter, an absolute living legend. Thanks for the podcast as always team Jaxon and for having Randy on the show. One of my favourite fighters of all time. 🙂❤️🙏
He shot and took vitor down or held him against the cage and used his dirty boxing technique, he didn't stand off and box vitor in their 1st fight. Olympic level freestyle Greco-Roman wrestling is top level shit
My favorite fighter of all time. Real life rocky balboa. Always an underdog, and always busted the odds to win... even at 47. Captain America. Much love from Utah. ✌️
One of the best Jaxxon interviews so far, and probably one of the best interviews overall I've seen with Randy. The mood you set in your interviews is so inviting and friendly. The perfect amount of bickering between Bear and Rampage helps build that atmosphere. Bear does really well in being the catalyst to drive the discussion and dialogue forward. Great work guys!
This is why I love the Jaxxon podcast. It’s real, raw, goes over legends of the fight games lives, legacy and the real aspects of the industry that most modern fighters will never talk about. This is a true MMA podcast
I never watched Rogan until he spun off the MMA interviews. The first one i watched was Big John, and i was hooked. Rampage bringing on the legends of the sport takes me back. Keep up the great work guys, fans are very appreciaoing of all this.
Even if Randy pissed them off, he deserves his place in the UFC's history. He was a star and made them money. Just watch the fight against Tim Silvia, the people went nuts.
I trained at Quest back in 06 a couple years after high school. Seeing Couture, Lindland, Sonnen. Two of those guys being Cobra wrestling guys, makes me proud to be an Oregonian. Mark Sprague 🤘🏻
Absolutely loved this podcast! Watched all of randy’s fights live back in the day and he was always a great respectful fighter and was equally great to see his true character on a podcast. Top guy! 🙌🏻💙
Greatest MMA podcast there is, minus Bear never shutting the fuck up acting like a teenager. But, aside from that, Randy made it out with his brain, seems sharp. That makes me happy.
Randy the natural couture! Looks grwat for his age. Another big victory people forget was when randy beat gonzaga, that was after gonzaga had just flatlined crocop and people thought Randy was going to get annihilated. These old school fighters took risks guys like jones never would dare
This episode has a much better balance between the teasing friendship of bear rampage and guest and actual productive questions and engaging answers. 💯📈

Because they don’t have the best relationships with the ufc so Dana white just pretends they don’t exist sadly

Personally find it insulting to all the guests at this point because it’s like a joke that they aren’t aware of.

Great podcast, lads 👌
I have allways held two guys in high regard in my life. one is my father, the other is Randy Couture.
Derrick Lewis next
Most requested guest surely
Who's more shadow banned from UFC, Couture or Mark Hunt?
Francis 😂
Ngannou but back in the day definitely Couture, with White it was personal
Hunt by far. But couture is number two. And it's because he refused to sell his soul for pennies
Tito more so than both of them lol
Frank Shamrock
Awesome - I would love to see Jeremy Horn, Jon Fitch, GSP, Diego Sanchez and Clay Guida

Randy is so real for that mention of fighter pay. That's why you never see the UFC talk about him even tho he's one of their biggest legends
Fantastic how good Randy's memory is. Naming dudes and specifics of fights 2 decades ago plus with ease. Great podcast as usual.
