@ Repent and believe in Jesus Christ for He loves you and died on the cross for your sins and resurrected on the third day that whosoever believes in Him won’t perish but will have eternal life. (John 3:16)
I would listen to Dillashaw breakdown fights and talk about matchups all day. Has one of the best brains for the sport and was one of the best to do it.
I agree. I’ve always been a huge fan of TJ.. to this day that title winning performance against Barao is one of my favorites. TJ needs his own weekly podcast for sure.
I worked out with TJ Waaaay back when he landed in Sac.- by luck he and I did a mid level class together and we even paired up for sparing. The dude was absolutely solid. We did these long combos and I got lost and he just carried me and we had a good laugh. IT is great seeing the side I came across. Great guy, just human like all of us.
I like seeing actual fighters just being honest and talking about different points in their fight career. TJ is very well spoken and taken the details of fighting very well.
It’s nice to hear DJ’s side of things. The rivalry with Garbrandt was the best one ever. We got to see it manifest and then witness it close up on TUF. All the way to the actual fight. Appreciate all the stories told. Appreciate y’all for allowing him to do that.
when i saw your guys insta story saying that you had a champ on the podcast, i was like “ it’s dillashaw right? theres no way” and i went on with my day. i’m very happy that i got it right! EDIT: I forgot that TJ also studied at my university, where i'm typing this lol

@@thecasualsmma honestly i said 2 years for fighters that are in the main media rn but that makes sense, if it’s earlier either way i support both sides!!
This was such an awesome podcast. I hate how TJ Dillashaw was disregarded by the mma community despite other fighters being embraced with the same PED history. Great to see he's managed to translate his success into other avenues!
For some people it was what he did to Chris Holdsworth in training (with the intentional knee to his head that ended his career in fighting). I like TJ's fight analysis though, no problems with him here.
Fair point. I suspect the team alpha male fued influenced people. Those guys didn't stop talking. Poisoned his rep. If his ban wasn't as severe, he may have had more opportunities to reclaim his legacy. Nice to see a different side to him on the pod. Great on the Jaxxon podcast too.
Justin, you just pinpointed exactly what this podcast is. 3 grown men giggling in a shrill voices like teenage girls at the mall. All the while interrupting the famous guest while seated on tiny miniature sofa chairs.
Wasn’t aware of this channel but this hot the feed and now I’m hooked . TJ has put on some of my favorite performances to rewatch . One of the best 135 pounders to ever step in the octagon .
Great show shed alot of light. A great point about him being able to give credit to those he may not be on good terms with shows tjs honesty and true spirit. He is a class act and legend in the cage.
As a wrestler in highschool, I had the pleasure of being at a clinic run by TJ Dillashaw and even got to grapple a bit with him. Very technical guy and one of the best to ever do it in my opinion.
TJs shoulder situation is so crazy bro... and now Ive really heard from him I do feel sorry for what happened to him but at the same time like he said it paid the bills for him and brought him to a level he otherwise wouldnt have reached. Amazing guest for the pod!
Damn this was such a good insight to TJ. Always kinda disliked him cuz I was the type to value loyalty, but hearing his story just made me feel stupid. Ill cop an energy drink for you TJ!
It was interesting to listen to TJ. After listening to him and how many surgeries he went through for fighting in MMA fights, UFC should be paying way way more to their fighters for fighting for them.
Hey TJ if you read this I'm someone who's been diligently stretching almost every day for about 5 years now to fix a life long shoulder imbalance issue that hindered me, I've learned a lot and I'm willing to share. For starters it's important to understand your body is way out of balance in terms of joint symmetry and everything is connected and affects how the joints line up. Right now you are having people cut you open and try to fix your shoulder in a position it's not meant to be in in the first place. Start with learning lotus pose on the ground and you will feel the adjustments that happen in your ankles and knees, the key is to start with half lotus and just put yourself into a position of slight discomfort and then hold it long enough till you feel the muscle release its tension and the stretching feeling goes away. Shoulder adjustments are quite complicated and take a very long time but in the meantime you'll get a kick out of the other parts of your body coming back into good alignment and it's all necessary for the eventual shoulder adjustments.
Can't wait for this podcast to go big ! Been here since day one, and you guys deserve more eyes watching you. Sending love all the way from Morocco babyyy ! LFG 🎉
TJs the man! Not many people can break down fights and the technical aspect of fighting as well as TJ...... why the UFC doesnt make him an analyst blows my mind, he would absolutely kill it. He's says some funny af stuff too, but I am glad him and Cody have squashed their beef. If it werent for Urijah (and Conor 😂) TJ and Cody prob wouldve been homies, or at least friendly. Great ep fellas ✌️
Just a great podcast. Come on. I started watching like a normal the casuals podcast, but ended almost crying. ...ok, i cried. Respect to TJ, just a straight up warrior.
I like TJ but he's always been extremely biased when it came to that Cruz decision. I've been an MMA fan since the late 90's. I know how to score a fight and there's no way TJ won 4 rounds like he thought. It really was a close fight that I re-watched recently and still had it 3-2 for Cruz. MMA Decisions has 12 media members for Cruz and 10 for TJ so the idea that it's a robbery is ridiculous. Just the truth. He says he did more damage but his face was just as messed up as Dom's was. He says he out-struck him but Dom actually landed more strikes in most of the rounds. He also never came close to finishing Cruz. In the end the evidence speaks for itself. 🤷♂ Anyway, just stumbled onto your podcast. Good job. You covered most of the hot topics with BUT I wish you would have asked him about the Chris Holdsworth issue where he supposedly ended his career in training. I've heard mixed stories about that. I'm sure TJ would have simply denied it but just a thought. I'll tune in again sometime.
TJ really grew on me the past year mostly because of his presence on the Jaxxon podcast. Hearing his own breakdown of his career I just wish he had a father figure that held him back from his own teneciousness, so he wouldn't take epo, fights he shouldnt have, and to take the timeoff to recover when he should have.
This pod rules! YT needs to fix its algo, bc all I do is watch mma and comedy pods, and this is a perfect mixture of both.....but its never been recommended to me! It only popped up now bc TJ was on, and I watch him on Jaxxon / Schaub fight companions. Yall got a new subscriber tho, so now I dont have to wait for random luck to see the show ✌️

TJ Dillashaw's coach Justin Bucholz gave him solid advice; before every fight TJ would get nervous before walking out, but Bucholz told him "People would pay millions to walk out in front of millions and perform, soak this energy up." Before that fight, TJ would have tunnel vision, wouldn't pay attention to the crowd, just focus on opponent across the cage, and not worry about anything else. Bucholz said it right before TJ walked out. TJ said he performed so well in that fight, and tricked himself every fight after that to have fun. Enjoying the fear rather than the fear take over you and get tunnel vision. That's what switched his career completely.
