I served both of these recipes tonight and my family LOVED them!! I sometimes make a similar chicken and rice dish on busy nights; I use seasoned yellow rice, black beans, and shredded chicken. I also wanted to tell you... we've tried about a dozen of your recipes now, and each one has been delicious!! I look forward to cooking more of your dishes! ^_^
Hi csleverette, happy to hear you liked the recipe and others 😊 the changes you made to the recipe seems interesting and delicious! Thanks for joining to the membership as well 😊🙋🏻♀️
Today we have a turkey for Christmas dinner so I will have leftovers and will make this rice and chickpeas with turkey instead of chicken....thank you for the idea....yes show more of this area. I’m not coming to Turkey this year cause of COVID, so I enjoy you showing videos .....usually we go to Izmir where my husband was born, but actually is from Bergama but came to Izmir as a little boy. Have a great day!!!
I miss Turkey so much! we would have been there now, if this pandemic didn't happen. Wish you a Good and Healthy 2021, my dear, make us many videos and continue spreading the Turkish soul to all of us.Tessekur Ederim!
I'd like to see more of ths places you were showing us at the end of the video. Also thanks for showing us how to make this recipe. It looks like its easy to make and can feed alot of people.
The pilaf looks like the ultimate comfort food. Thanks for showing us the packaged goods. When I was in Turkey I really wanted to know what was in the packages. It was nice to hear the call to prayer. Thanks for another excellent video.
I have been seeing a lot of vloggers trying this Pilav and kept wondering how it would taste. I did have an idea that they cook it in the fresh chicken broth... glad you shared the recipe... It is going to be a comfort food this winter, will try it one of the weekends. I saw some porcelain crockery in the last few minutes of the video. Would be wonderful if you can cover that bazaar area in your next video :)
Loved the recipes and the outing! You are so kind and talented!👏👏❤️ Please keep sharing your shopping, recipes, traditions, travels... I enjoy them all with you!❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful!!! Wud love to see more bazaar and travel videos. U make everything look so easy... Recently I visited a Middle east restaurant and was over the moon to see that I knew the menu so well!!! Majority of the dishes were the ones ud already shown us here.... thank you!!!
Great video ! Thank you so much for sharing your traditions and food with all of us. I know I truly look forward to your videos . I would love to see more of your area . It seems so beautiful would love to visit there and try all the food . Have a blessed day. Mellisa🙏🏻🙏🏻🎄❤️
Merhaba! (!مَرْحَباً) Thank you for this recipe! I tracked down your Koca Parki on google maps and traveled around the local streets ... missing my time in İstanbul. When I was there I walked over. Will do this park neighbourhood in Bayrampaşa when I return after this virus horror is over for ALL of us. Thank you for all you do to bring this wonderful city and it's even more so wonderful cuisine to us all! ❤️
Hi from romania my dear!I just made today this fantastic recipe.i dont have words is fantastic. Îs an autentic turkish food.thank you sharring your recipe.
Very interesting Vlog!! Can’t wait for Spring season so I can visit Istanbul. Can you please make simple Helva recipe & Tahini Helva recipe. Thankuuu ✌🏼💯🎉🎈 and Happy 2021 in advance. YES please SHARE the second part of the Shops Vlog.
Thank you for this lovely recipe; I make a similar on with chickpeas & potato. YES! The second part is definitely needed to complete our excursion: you've taken is to the take away place, and share the meal on the street, and recreated it at home. Now we need to take a walk around the same neighbourhood to see what else is available! This is so much fun! Hope you & family are doing well during this lockdown - London is in a serious lockdown
So delicious and easy to make! It is also a healthy dish as well . Thank you for sharing Aysenur! Love all your recipes. God Bless you. Greetings from Malta 🇲🇹😋😋😋🌹
Last year In school I fasted with my friends from Turkey and for Iftar a Turkish restaurant delivered food and I believe this was the dish they mad but instead of chicken it was with beef and I’ve wanted to have it again so badly! So excited to try out this recipe!!
Salam Alekum, I made the dish your way it was so tasty and healthy too both my parents loved it, didn't make ayran(we call it lassi) as my mother is a bit afraid of sour throat nowadays because it's winter here in India
This looks so appealing. It's amazing to see what constitutes a national, popular street-food to have on-the-run. People in Turkey are lucky in this regard. There seems to be an abundance of convenient street food options everywhere. While it might seem a little bit bland for my palate at first, I respect the fact that the aim here is to satiate, to sustain and restore hunger quickly and healthily. I look forward to trying this recipe very soon, along with the appetising tomato corbasi soup, or with ayran yoghurt. FYI, Singapore has something similar as a national dish Hainanese Chicken Rice and it's also very nice and hugely popular. Of course I must also suggest Macedonia's (top 5) national dish Tavče Oriz, which is rice baked in a flavourful chicken stock base along with the boiled chicken pieces and sautéed onion/sweet green chillies/carrot, seasoned with sea salt/pepper/fresh parsley. Best regards!
Thank you.. For a palate that is used to spicy dishes it might seem bland from outside as you said but actually I think it puts the flavor of the rice, chicken and butter to front. And it really makes a huge difference. I checked the dishes you mentioned from google. They also look very appealing. Hope I can try one day! Best wishes
Turkish Food Travel Thanks again and I certainly believe you when you say that this dish tastes better home-made. The lure of an Istanbul food tour next summer is even greater now, not to mention the bazaars and the affordable access to naturally grown, sun-ripened fruits and vegetables. I think I'll also have to add Bursa and Gaziantep to my list. Happy holidays!
I had this in a turkish restaurant in Chicago recently. I looked at it and thought it would be bland. I was blown away at how flavorful it was. And I never had chickpeas taste so good.
I actually gasped when you added the lemon juice!! 😂 I could already imagine how the soup tasted, and imagining adding the lemon flavor my brain explode 🤯🤤🤤
Selam aleikum..mashaAllah I miss Turkey, especially Istanbul so much. My family so much in love with Turkish food when we lived in Istanbul for 3 years, even sometimes I still make this turkish pilav and mercimek çorbası. Thank you for the recipe..ellerine sağlık..Allah bereket versin🥰

@@TFT Thank you very much, I have already seen several videos and I really like that they are in English, I try to learn the turkish language and for months I have seen that your videos explain many things about their customs and very good cooking recipes, in English. :)
My mom used to make us whole chicken stuffed with marinated rice (onions, black pepper and salt) so the rice will be soaked in broth while the chicken is cooking. It tastes very different and absolutely better than any other rice i might have ever tried. I think what you got there is very similar (excluding the onions) but much easier. Looks very delicious, thanks for sharing!!
Mydear love to hear your humble voice and the cooking process. There are some similarities in Indian food. If I had enough money I will go to Istanbul. Every upload I watched since I subscribed to your channel. Most of the time I only liked but forgot to comment. I love to watch every nook & corner of Istanbul. 👍😊❤❤❤❤
