I have a 2017 XT5 Platinum trim, purchased in Jan 2018 used with 14,000 km. Previously GM Exec vehicle. Now has 70,000 km on it. Used as in town car. None of these problems in the video experienced. I just replaced battery as it had weakened. I also replaced the Michelin tires with same models this summer as wear was good, but I had a flat repaired near the edge of the tread on one tire, and was planning a long overnight road trip in the fall, and wanted new tread/tires. Michelin advises the tire can last up to 10 years, depending on mileage of course. I am very happy with this vehicle.
Same here 62,000 regular oil change New Michelin CC2 New Brakes 4whl New AC Delco Battery No Problems like video claims.. Sad to see it go 2025 is last year for XT5..🥺
To be fair that pic of the Xt on a flatbed trailer wasn't smashed up in the front end - which would be more believable. The brake issue was a very small limited number. Now the steering assist error or rather the thermostat and sensor error is a big problem that will cost you 4hr shop labor and maybe a couple hundred in parts if you're not a handyman.. However, this is not limited just to the Cadillac but other GM cars. It is still a great vehicle as long as you don't abuse it.
I disagree with gorilla mine has over 152k miles and is a 2017 i change the transmission fluid oil change coolant change brake fluid spark and coils change the engine valves clean and filter still runs new.
I have a 2017 Cadillac XT5 and it now has 70,505 miles. I’ve had no problems. Recently changed out the old battery for a new one and another set of oem tires. Are all XT5 units bad in some ways
Well, I am back. So, to solve the problem, we changed the battery with a larger, more powerful 1000 output when it starts. And all the problems went away.
My wife has one and under 70, 000 Miles, ac evaporator coil busted, engine & Trans had to be dropped to get axcess, to it, cost $5000, no BS. Ride's like a Buckboard, very rough, my 2018 Ram 1500 ride us much much better.... trying to sell it now
Bought this 1 owner same vehicle 4 yrs ago for my wife. None and I mean none of these issues occurred. Oil chgd every 5k & will change transmission fluid, brake, & radiator at 75k. Currently has 71k. And no it’s not going to the dealer.
Sounds like somebody doesn't like Cadillac most of these are not not issues if they are issue it's with every other car on the road it's not like this one only shares if your brake fluid leaks out of any car you won't have brakes
DO NOT BUY As of today of having it for 2 years, the vehicle stopped working. All icons on the dashboard came on saying transmission and brake, etc. Before it happened days before. The steering wheel won't turn. Brakes slipped. Radio or screen didn't work. The sounds of everything stop. The blinkers stopped. Im never going to buy cadillac again. They shouldn't even be called luxury anymore. Cadillac Xt5 2017 owner regret
All the reasons here is why Toyota is superior to Cadillac or any American made vehicle…Sad to say….Also, Toyota will fix the issue with their cars, in order to maintain their customers..I have yet to see GM fix all the issues with the transmissions in trucks…
To be fair, It does have its issues but so do a lot of other makes and models. Not everyone gets these problems but like most cars these days. It's a crap-shoot. You have to remember most parts are built by other companies on contracts. Just be smart and get a warranty - NO MATTER WHAT YOU BUY if you are buying used. Not all Jap vehicles are problem free, or cheap to fix.

I've had this since 2017 and haven't had any of these issues listed. Changed tires once around 60k kms.
2017 CTS with 60k None of the above happened. Our only issue, common with the 3.6 V6 in certain configurations, is the P0128 temp sensor failure.

I too had battery changed before it failed after 6 years of use.
