  • #SORTMYSLING - #25 in a series of trouble-shooting videos, based on requests from carrier users.
This video demonstrates carrying twins in an Izmi Baby wrap. The Izmi Baby wrap is a 2-way stretchy wrap, meaning the fabric stretches both across the width and length of the fabric.
Izmi Baby wraps are available to purchase via my website (see below)
If your babies were born early, or at a low birth weight, please check the minimum weight for the carrier you're using.
If you're at all unsure about using the wrap in this way please get in touch. I offer one-to-one consultations - online and in person - message me if you’d like to discuss options
PS If you like what I'm doing, make sure you subscribe to my RUclips Channel and follow my Facebook and Instagram pages - @bambinobabyuk - so you see the videos and other babywearing info as soon as they’re published.

Thank you - that's great you found the video helpful. I'm based in the UK and all my demo dolls are from Slumber Roo. I'm not sure where best to get them from if you're not in the UK I'm afraid, but it might be worth contacting Slumber Roo to see if they can help? www.slumber-roo.co.uk

Hello thankyou for the video. If my wrapper saya only for one baby, can i still use it for twins. And till what age? Thank you so much

      Thanks for your message.
Because carrying twins is seen as quite a niche area, many stretchy wrap manufacturers won’t put it in their instruction manuals and won’t specifically test the wrap for carrying two.
It costs more to do additional testing, and stretchy wraps tend to be a relatively low-value item, so it’s often not cost effective to do so.
Providing babies are carried securely, with clear unobstructed airways, and are within the weight limit of the wrap, they can be carried safely together.
If you’re unsure, it’s worth seeing your local Babywearing Consultant (or I offer video calls if there isn’t one locally to you) to check positioning and ask any questions.

Lovely video, can you feed the twins in the wrap? 😊

Thank you! I'm pleased it was useful. You can use a stretchy wrap as a feeding aid. My video here demos this with one baby: ruclips.net/video/5vGld-dT7CU/видео.htmlsi=m7mccK7KJdw0czfU
It is possible with two but you'd need to adapt which wrap passes you used. They key things to remember are that each baby's airways are clear and unobstructed, and they're supported so they can't slump. You may find it easier to use the wrap to help support one baby but support the other in your arms.

I feel like this would be hard to do anything if you have to bend down if you drop something it would worry me to try and pick it up

Parents of twins find this a total lifesaver - much safer and more supportive than attempting to carry babies in arms. If used correctly the babies are held safely and securely. As with any baby carrier or sling, it is recommended you bend from the knees, rather than at the waist, if picking things up.
