    Thank you so, so much for this. I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant with my twin girls. Like you, my first pregnancy was just with one baby and I wore her with one of those shoulder-strap carriers and I too was wondering how I would go about carrying my girls because that shoulder-strap carrier won't work and a big bulky double-stroller would be such a pain to lug around.
    I plan to practice wrapping before mine are born. I'll use a couple of my daughter's baby dolls to try it out. This video was very helpful and easy for me to follow along. Your twins are precious. I can't wait to meet mine! This will be an adventure for sure.

    • @LittleButOnce
      @LittleButOnce  6 лет назад +1

      Hello! I carried them like this until they were around 12 months old but it did get a little squishy with their knees together towards the end. When that happened I transitioned to a hip carry. I'm thinking of doing a final front and back carry soon (they are 2.5 now!) so if that is of interest to you then do subscribe

    • @LittleButOnce
      @LittleButOnce  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks Jenny! The wrap in the video is a size 7 "Yaro" brand woven wrap, I believe the print is called "autumn rainbow". It was purchased in Australia several years ago from thesleepstore.com.au but I am unsure whether it would still be on the market in this exact colour as new season designs would have come through. I'd try google or a Babywearing BuySwapSell page if youre looking for this exact wrap. All the best!

      Glad you enjoying it! I started practicing using this particular style when they were around a month old. If you tuck rolled up facewashers/small towels in the fold behind their heads it helps a lot with neck support in the early days. Important to remember that if they were premmies there are some extra precautions and better to base off adjusted age. Congrats on your new bubbas! 🎉❤️

    This is going to sound like a dumb question, brand new twin momma. But all I have right now is a Boba wrap, can this be done with that type of material or is it better with a woven wrap??

    • @LittleButOnce
      @LittleButOnce  4 года назад

      Not a dumb question at all! The boba recommends that Bub has several passes/layers over Bub for safety reasons as it contains a lot of stretch. You would also have to ensure your babies combined do not exceed the weight limit. I personally wouldn't feel like a boba could get enough tension to support two babies in this wrap style and would suggest a woven for most tandem carries. Hope that helps!

    Until how old can you use this? My twins are now over 13lbs each and 5 months old. Are you still using this? I think your twins are a month ahead of mine but mine were 5 weeks early.

    • @LittleButOnce
      @LittleButOnce  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Jane! I can still wrap my 20 month olds in this way but their little knees are touching and a hip carry is much more comfy after around 11-12 months (in our case!)
      I am about to upload the hip carry I use for them. Hope that helps!

  • @charletto911

    Did you wrap when they were younger than the 3months? I'm struggling about what to do with mine, once their here!

    • @LittleButOnce
      @LittleButOnce  5 лет назад +1

      Charlotte Marler I did! I wrapped from around 6 weeks but would have done it from birth if I had discovered it sooner! When their heads were still a bit floppy I rolled up facewashers and tucked them under the fold for neck support. All the best with their arrival!! It’s busy but such an amazing thing so see them grow together 😍

  • @rokliveson
    @rokliveson 5 лет назад

    What length wrap are you using? I'm lost on what to get!also is this a good length for the lbo maxi?

    • @LittleButOnce
      @LittleButOnce  5 лет назад +1

      rokliveson this one is a size 7! The LBO maxi I use a 5. A 7 was probably a little long in hindsight as I only use it for front/back carries now. In a 6 I could have tied behind my back in the LBO mini. It’s very dependent on the size and comfort of both you and your babies. If you have the option to try one first to check the length I would do that. Hope that helps! ❤️

    • @LittleButOnce
      @LittleButOnce  5 лет назад +1

      rokliveson in saying that, a bit long is much better than a bit short! 🙈

    • @rokliveson
      @rokliveson 5 лет назад +1

      Thank you! My one is in the 13 pound range and my bigger baby is in the 14 pound range. I'm smaller so I may go with a 6. .... would this be a good size to wrap o e baby on my back and the other on my front when they get bigger?

    • @LittleButOnce
      @LittleButOnce  5 лет назад +1

      rokliveson a 6 was too short for me to front/back wrap and a 7 was just barely enough. I think ideally I would use my 5 to back wrap and then have a separate shortie to wrap the front baby into the shoulder straps (if that makes sense?) A 6 would hopefully do you well for the LBO mini and maxi and give you options for when you front/back wear. I hope I haven’t made the decision even harder now 🙈💕

    This carry is great for twins, and I usually wear them like this. But there is no secure seat for them. You should put more fabric between you and your baby. As well, their legs are straight, and legs shouldn't be straight. Their knees should be above their bum. This position is not recommended.
    Baby should be in "frog" position, cause it is the only natural and secure.
    For the rest, great video!
    💛

    • @LittleButOnce
      @LittleButOnce  6 лет назад

      Marija Adamovic thanks for your comment! You are correct about the M position of the legs. As I mentioned I was completely new to babywearing at the time. Luckily as this isn’t a ruck and a pass went under both their bums they were very secure, not a perfect job but not much perfection goes on with newborn twins other than their squishy faces 💕

    Seems too much effort for what? to get hands free? Motherhood never comes free. Once the baby come out you have to work work talk repeat move ...no sleep clean cook ...till they leave house....after that we are worried for their future....goes on n on...newly weds or women trying to get pregnant think twice
