I stood in the doorway watching With my second sight I saw the building crumble And men start to fight Move out of the dark Move into the light I stood on the beach at midnight Looking over the sea I saw the water rising Waves coming for me Move out of the dark Move into the light Looked over my shoulder Strange sound in the night I'm trying to get my freedom But ropes bind me too tight Move out of the dark Move into the light Do you remember back then When you were young Playing in fields of green And the songs that you sung? Move out of the dark Move into the light Everything has changed now And nothing seems real We're all like lost people Running round in a wheel Move out of the dark Move into the light
They used to play Biker/Angel gigs back in the day. Martin Weaver eneded up as a proffessor ! of skull reconsruction ! ( forensic and archeological) which is a suitable theme with a slight doom feel !
The way you worded it made me think for a second that he had become a boxer and was now a professor of skull reconstruction in the ring with his deadly hands.
Been a freakin' while since I first came across this band via randomly finding a RUclips post of ' Run the Night '. I loved them then and even more so now, I firmly believe! It's funny that I love them so much, being born myself in mid 1991, and they're firmly planted in the late 60s/early 70s, but some bands transcend their era for whatever reason... kinda like religions I guess... and music is my true religion... the sound of the human soul, man... that combined with I'm somewhat of a history buff! They were billed as ' The first ever metal band ' by the RUclipsr who posted the video I first saw, and considering they came about with this sound at the same time Blue Cheer released ' Vincebus Eruptum ', and the fact that they appear to hone this particular sound that mostly many underground metal bands often still use today (sometimes through choice e.g. 90s era Darkthrone, but usually through being poor e.g. the 80s spawned Swedish band Bathory!), I'd say they represent ' the first real metal music ' to me personally ;)

Metal? This' Heavy psych rock.
Run the night is my jam. I always go back to the one cut to the bollywood dancing scene.
First listen. Considering it was forever ago -- I'd say I want more. I hear a Buck Dharma-ish, other-worldly talent here.
High from México City, Martin Weaver. Yours lp's are very heavy and cool...
Yess Martin Weaver was a fabulous guitarist fuzzy waouh !!!
