I think it looks really good, I actually love the low-budget horror film, and this actually FEELS like a Hellboy story... which none of the previous movies did. I hope the movie has the same vibes of the trailer.

I am a die hard Hellboy fan. Have been for decades.
The original two films are quite different from the comics but they stayed fairly true to the characters. I can look at those films as non-canon but still beloved. They're fun! Could have used a bit more spookiness but overall I liked them. The actors did their damned jobs and I was convinced that John Hurt was the professor, that Doug Jones was Abe Sapien, that Karel Roden was Rasputin. I am fully aware that Ron Perlman is irreplaceable as Hellboy but I have no doubt there is a worthy actor out there that can do him justice. I'm sure we'll find that actor some day. Because Harbor sure as shit wasn't it.
The 2019 Hellboy was a disaster on so many levels and it could have been so good. So many wonderful references to various comic stories but the characterizations were awful beyond reasoning. That was NOT Hellboy, it was NOT Prof. Bruttenhom, that was NOT Alice. Nimue was a mess, Baba Yaga is different kind of mess. You want to know who was actually the most accurate character in the whole film? Gruagach, the pig fey. They smushed too many unrelated storylines together, made up another storyline to duct tape it all together and then recreated all the characters into something they really aren't. I understand that many characters get tweaks and changes to their personalities when they go from paper to film but I expect those changes to be improvements. Nothing was improved in this film.
All that being said, I have extremely low expectations for The Crooked Man. That story happens to be my one of my least favourite Hellboy stories so I'm already less excited for it. So far, I am not impressed with this particular Hellboy. I will give credit where credit is due, though. It is creepier looking than the other films and at it's heart, Hellboy is in the supernatural horror genre. It SHOULD be unnerving and scary.

Its looks ok to me. I do like how they took a dark spin on it like in comic. So lets see!

I like all the Hellboy films for different reasons, each one good in its own way but even if this isn't the greatest film, all I care about is a good story and I am tired of big budget films. I will watch this. I will give this a chance and May enjoy it a lot. It is a short trailer but I will give it a 👍👍👍👍

    I'm optimistic.
This could be like 'Dredd'. Low budget. Made with love. Flopped at the box office. But was an awesome film.

I watched the Guillermo del Toro films again, and honestly...😬 the writing was sad. Esthetically they were amazing, but the writing was so cheesy. I'm looking forward to this one, though; the comic was fantastic, and I agree that low budget means a greater focus on the actual film. We'll see, though.

Even if this new movie is faithful to the Crooked Man comic story, this still looks incredibly lazy and shit. And that discounted Hellboy look is ruining it for a lot of people. It's like they didn't even try. Still, I'm going to watch it because I love Hellboy that much.
