If you think of the 90s and early 2000s, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton should be the top girls that come to mind. From their notoriety, to their pop culture contributions("that's hot" and "oh, babeh, babeh" anyone?), they were the image of youth and glamour that was seemingly plastered all over the world. They were international names and yet the truth is that we didn't really know these young women or the lives they were living behind the cameras. Their ultra-digestible, cultivated images didn't allow for the removal of the veil; because every time the audience got a glimpse of reality(rumors of physical abuse or possible mental health issues) we all would delight in watching the show instead of wondering about what may really be happening to these people. Finally, so many years later, both women have released memoirs in which they explain who they really were and what life was really like. This a memoir review you don't want to miss!
