Growing up in the 90s, the movie The Color Purple was on replay in my house. Whoopi Goldberg as Celie, Oprah as Sophia, and Danny Glover as Mister aka Albert were iconic for their work in this project. It's a classic and important movie and it just had a remake as a musical that made me sit up and say "hold on one darn minute!"
