The game runs off Namco System ES3 on Windows, sure they use the Namco Universal stuff similarly on other consoles, but unlikely... I would like it too though.
First appearance of Ultra mini turbo boost (Level 3), later reintroduced to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and got little different, it's pink for now, not rainbow.
I second that. Most of the tracks in GP are a bit too simple for my taste (tho I understand it's partly because it's supposed to be an arcade game), but Castle Wall looked legit exciting. I would also look forward to the "teleporting racers upon completion of a lap/segment" thing being implemented into the main game. That could lead to some really sick track designs.
@@randallb2179 But why not re-imagine these tracks, like 8 always did with tracks like ribbon road, toad turnipe, mario circuit and etc? Even with the amount of variant tracks, the use of laps with different layouts would be incredible like in the tour tracks
@@ShineTermiten He's referring to the layout. Most of these are just very big circles. Ribbon Road? Not. Even. Close. And the Tour Tracks are fine individually, and are different enough. They just wanted more for us. There's not a lot of differences between Splash Circuit and Tropical Coast, besides the really good underwater segment. Both are ovals; one is just slightly bigger than the other. Though I probably chose the worst example. Sorry if I sounded rude.
Regardless of how basic some of these tracks layouts are, I really hope they’re one day remastered in identical concept, just with more interesting layout. I love the designs behind every track and would kill to see them in a mainline game, just with some more interesting gameplay to back it up.
Same here! But damn is the Japanese version much different. If the American version is like this, maybe it's single player. (I've only played single player like two or three times)
getting hit by items is superior in this game to every other Mario Kart. instead of completely halting your momentum and breaking the flow of the game, you flip over a few times, but still end up driving, just at a slower pace. that’s a great adjustment.
If we do get a second bcp, instead of being focuses on tour tracks it should be focused on the arcade tracks and they can just add in the crossover characters as a part of the dlc
