I can tell this was made around the time the GameCube Mario Kart: Double Dash came out cause all the character voices are the same, plus the place ranking is the same colouring and font as well! Also, I feel like the rainbow coaster flower stalks look very similar to the Dreamstalk in Kirby Triple Deluxe? A reference I didn’t expect to find - hope that’s not just me thinking it’s one tho 😄 Edit: also just noticed the lap noises when Lakitu comes down are also the same (whether that’s another lap or the final lap), including his animation as well 😁. I never played this game, but it is giving me lotsa Double Dash nostalgia which I absolutely adored ^-^
I learned just the other day that this is the only Mario Kart thus far to make any reference to Warioware. It's really weird that they chose to have E.Gadd stuff in Diamond City; Dr. Crygor is RIGHT THERE!!! In all the years of adding new content to Mario Kart 8 no GP courses were ported, maybe when they finally do 9.
Crazy to think how this game's tracks are handled in the same style as Mario Kart Tour's city tracks (different routes for each area)! EDIT: This is also the case for the other two MK Arcade games as well.
