The Mini-Turbos are more satisfying to do because the speed boost gets more exaggerated, LV3 very much being a Mushroom boost, and having a shield while building them up is pretty nice, though it would be op in normal MK Though the major downside is that the courses have no hazards whatsoever, you can’t even fall of the track or slow down off-road, and the tracks have overly simple layouts, the only difficulty generally comes purely from the other racers and their crazier items, with some boost panels and Star rings as only interactive elements to the tracks, which for an arcade experience is very fine, but for a mainline Mario Kart that’s just super barebones xd, they’re VERY pretty tho, and the soundtrack is amazing, but they’re ultimately just like theme park rides, more flashy than anything really
Wish the next main mario kart game could have a similar look or visual style to arcade gp dx. Dont get me wrong, mario kart 8/deluxe looks great and all, but it lacks color saturation. For example, Mario kart double dash, mario kart 7 and this one shows how the mario universe is supposed to look; colorfull, full of life and sillyness.
Less work, they used them in GP2, and DD’s voice clips aren’t too different to the modern ones where it comes to the character’s voice (except for Bowser, Bowser Jr., and Daisy), they just needed to add the ones of the Mario newcomers + Don-Chan’s, I don’t remember if Pac-Man’s are the same as in GP2 or they’re brand new clips.
I just read the wiki article on this, so here goes: DD's hardware is similar to some other piece of hardware (Triforce arcade system) dev'd jointly by SEGA, Nintendo, and Namco. This was going to be beneficial for all three companies involved. Nintendo ported arcade games to the GCN, SEGA made a new F-Zero, and Namco made an arcade Mario Kart. Namco probably copied the voice clips from DD because the hardware was the same.
I never knew this existed. It looks much faster-paced than other mario karts.

Hopefully, this gets ported to the Switch. It's unlikely, but it's more likely than getting this to run on my pc.

DespyCL there’s a lot of things Nintendo should take notes from GPDX imo
@@dustymcwari4468 Agreed, like the variety of items and the overall faster speed!
Don-chan looks so adorable in Mario Kart

But weren't the Pac-Man Cup courses added in the 1.10 update?
Naluigi and the DK Cup
Nope. They're in a later update, which has not yet been dumped.

I still wonder why they used Double Dash voice lines.
