i'm on it, it's been a year now and i'm half the way...i'm working on my buell xb12ss, there is so much potential in this bike i have change the design twice, having a lot of work does not help, and restoring bikes to factory new on my free time neither, tools are expensive so restore old machinery to have excellent tools to make excellent parts is a pita , cafe racers are forever and when i get old i want my kids look at it and think "if my dad could do it, i can do it" i spent 4 months just to make my subframe, it looks like factory made, not a singke flaw , its all made of steel, not a single particle of bondo, and casting my own design tailight from resine and leds is hard job...as soon as i finish i'l be glad to share it with everyone...

I bought a new 750 Virago the first year they came out as I wanted to take my sister on a tour of Alaska. The bike was cheaper than a Sportster and I thought it would be more reliable. A week after I bought it I noticed a cylinder had a crack in it, probably came from the factory cracked. Drove around the state for 2 weeks waiting for the engine to blow wishing I had bought the Sportster.

i love greg's setup but i'm sure i can make it work with a little of my own inspiration, little details make a huge diferrence, about 2013 i sized my ducati 1098 engine so a sold it by parts, keept the front forks and wheel, brakes, triple, and electronics, i think this guy has a really good idea here the way his virago looks is strong and an authentic road eater, but as i said before, more work is need it to make an authentic piece of art, for the fuel tank i have a friend with a panigale, his tank is dented, i'm still waiting him to come here ready for order a new one and dump the old one , guess where??? yeah ....in my hands... i was thinking in benelli but i made a sketch with the manigale's and man its mind blowing... one question is it me or the viragos price has been reaching the sky in the last months??? my friend from the panigale bike was looking for a virago too but we couldn't find any below $2,500. i bought mine in $700 but i think it was good luck...

This one you using came from a R6 right? Wich year? It was the right size (length)? Do you have pics of the shock in details? Do you modify the frame or the swingarm to match the shock? hanks a lot!
