This was so awesome. Love the transformation, and what those xV bikes can be turned into. The mono rear shock set makes it so clean. Early 80s Suzuki GR650 had a similar set up with lots of potential….
Really enjoyed the build. Seeing the build in one you forget how much work and expertise went into it… great job Dan you must be really pleased with the finished bike… bring on the Fiesta !!
Very enjoyable series Dan, I really couldn't see how it would turn out or if the colours you choose would work but it's obvious from the results that you had a vision and knew what the bike would look like in the end and it turned out fantastic, nice job mate 👏👏👍
Thanks for not starting the engine at the end of the video. That free stock music from RUclips was waaay more entertaining than any motorcycle could ever be.
I sketched out a bike idea I had. It was just inspiration based, not off of any models specifically and it is so close to this it’s crazy. Beautiful bike that had also boosted my confidence lol
Looks great! I bought a low mile XV920 to do the same thing and then life happend. It is awesome to see someone hammer this out fabricating as you go.. Love it. Let me know if you need another one my 920 is collecting dust.
Thats a sweet bike man! I can't wait to build my first! I love motorcycles, to ride and to fabricate. Not big on Cafe racers but the experience will be awesome!
Cheers bud! I had never turned a bolt on a bike before building this so it was a massive learning curve! Enjoyed it but won’t be building another bike for a while 😂
Odd that this video popped up on my list, I have a 1100 Virago sitting in the shop that needs some attention! You’ve done a great job on this one, looks really nice! Thanks!
@@DanChambersDAC …. Unfortunately, it’s a shaft drive. I removed the dual Hitachi carbs and put on a single Mikuni TM40. Still needs a little fine tuning, but should be good. The bike sat for 10 years or more, abandoned in a garage. Looks almost new at only 9k miles. Also, we put true dual exhaust on it. Need to finish it!
props to you, the build looks great, but can you guys PLEASE do a sound check at the end? Sound is such an important part when building bikes, and it is so satisfying to hear it at the end..
I keep watching these videos hoping to build something like this, but then I see how much knowledge and tools you need and I leave discouraged every time lol. Great build tho bro
Nice to see the build complete in a quick fashion. Alot of builders drag it on for a year and it looks like a half eaten cheese sarnie at the end .. Well done . When can I have a ride ?
crazy isn't it! I forgot how much work went into it until I watched this back. I did the same thing with the Caddy too! I have a VERY short attention span (The Golf 😂) I still haven't ridden it yet!
SHOUTOUT to all the “at home- self employed” mechanics trying to copy this amazing build, but instead making a bunch of clapped out pieces of junk and posting them on marketplace for $3k+ 🙏😂
10:46 nice build nice work but 5:49 i cant stay silent and and doesnt mention my love to that golf mk1 i was gonna be happier if it was an mk2 clearly you are a man of taste and skills
So is it daily clean install/fabrication to change the yoke stance from one to another? I love these virago customs but I was always iffy when it came to that
Badass Bro! I'm getting started on my XV project as we speak. Yours is definitely inspiration. Where did you end up putting the battery? And what battery did you use?
By a strange coincidence, 12 mins' is exactly how long I have before I need to turn my vegetables over in the oven, and put the pasta on.
😂 this is the best comment!
This is what RUclips is for
God works in mysterious ways
This is the funniest comment i have seen 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Funny for me it's ribs in my air fryer
Screams craftsmanship, frank zane asthetics at every angle. Amazing. I want it...🤤
Thank you!
High 5 just for mentioning Frank Zane 😊
I love the fact you have a comfort blanket on your press, just incase it all goes wrong!
One of the most beautiful motorbikes I've ever seen. Perfect in deed.
One of the best built i’ve ever seen. Simple but so beautiful to look at.
Thank you so much bud ❤️
@@DanChambersDAC Thank you sir for sharing your passion.
man i need this vid not in timelapse mode, the feels of how you do it with explaining is much appreciated ♥️ btw nice build!
Fabrication looks top notch, nice video. Shaft drive bikes are limited to wheel travel, watch your back.
The process will not betray the results, greetings from Indonesia🇮🇩🔥
That takes real talent. There’s nothing like turning wrenches for yourself. 💯
OMG!!!! I love it!!! never thought that Virago can be transformed into this!!!
❤
This is by far the one and only motorcycle that looks like my dream motorcycle. It has the looks that I want.
Me too
This was so awesome. Love the transformation, and what those xV bikes can be turned into. The mono rear shock set makes it so clean. Early 80s Suzuki GR650 had a similar set up with lots of potential….
My first ever bike was a GR650.
Й
now THAT'S what I call attention to details, even that little bended plate on that accelerometer stand, you are good my friend
🙏 Thank you bud.
Really enjoyed the build. Seeing the build in one you forget how much work and expertise went into it… great job Dan you must be really pleased with the finished bike… bring on the Fiesta !!
Thank you bud, Glad you enjoyed it. I forgot how much work went into the build too! Really pleased with it. Will be even more pleased when it is sold!
I rarely comment on videos but what you’ve achieved there is awesome. A work of art. Really enjoyed the series.
Thank you so much for the comment bud I really appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed it.
I'm actually building an XS 750 Cafe Racer, enjoyed this video, thank you
this is art and engineering, the outcome is a masterpiece. wooooooooow!
Thank you so much bud ❤️ really means a lot!
Very nicely done, superb craftsmanship and meticulously precise attention to detail throughout!
Very enjoyable series Dan, I really couldn't see how it would turn out or if the colours you choose would work but it's obvious from the results that you had a vision and knew what the bike would look like in the end and it turned out fantastic, nice job mate 👏👏👍
Thank you bud, Glad you enjoyed it! I have to admit once I had chosen them I was worried but it seems to have turned out OK!
@@DanChambersDAC did you lose a lot of gas mileage by lifting your tank? My bike only gets me like 70mi a tank
im starting a project like this myself, just finished stripping down a yamaha xj600, its going to be a learning experience thats for sure
this café racer is one of the coolest I've seen
wowww im not a bike guy but enjoy seeing someone build projects, and then i saw the MK1 in the background. My absolute dream car
Thanks for not starting the engine at the end of the video. That free stock music from RUclips was waaay more entertaining than any motorcycle could ever be.
Ahh, If you want to hear the bike run you will have to watch the full series 😉
Another cracking build by yourself Dan can't wait to see the track car all done
Thank you Gary, Really appreciate it. I think the track car is the most excited I have been about a project!
Great, great transformation and not booring video at all. You could make 2 hours video from this . . . . 💪
One of the best vids i've seen on a cafe racer build. KUDOS to you SIR!
I loved the transformation, and what a beautiful bike ended up being. You Sir have a serious talent!!
I sketched out a bike idea I had. It was just inspiration based, not off of any models specifically and it is so close to this it’s crazy. Beautiful bike that had also boosted my confidence lol
Nice bud! Good luck with your build!!
That’s a art right there, it’s a beautiful bike.
Awesome, I'm blown away by your attention to detail. Your video helped give me ideas I hadn't even considered. OH, I have the same headlight.
Thank you bud!
Услышать бы его звук! Отличная работа! От мото глаз не оторвать!
Спасибо за просмотр!
The motorcycle got such a great engine with great sounds. Your version goes better with that sounds. You made a great looking motorcycle.
Looks great! I bought a low mile XV920 to do the same thing and then life happend. It is awesome to see someone hammer this out fabricating as you go.. Love it.
Let me know if you need another one my 920 is collecting dust.
Oh sweet bud! Is the 920 the chain drive version? I have a very short attention span so need to get things done asap 😂
@@DanChambersDAC My 920 is also a shaft drive like yours.
Man that is super clean!!! Awesome craftsmanship!!!
Thank you!

You've done a great job, bike looks fantastic 👍
Thank you bud!
i dont know a single shit about motorcycles but this video is satisfying
Thank you, Glad you enjoyed it.
Beautiful man. You'll have 1 million views in about a week or two.
Thank you! I really hope so!
Artistic expression through motorcycle building is a powerfully beautiful thing. This video is a fine example☆
Thats a sweet bike man! I can't wait to build my first! I love motorcycles, to ride and to fabricate. Not big on Cafe racers but the experience will be awesome!

wow. having a sport bike and a classic bike, and then combining it into one. wow.😮😮😮
Gotta love a shaft drive, doesn't really look as cool as a chain but man the maintenance is soo much better.
Odd that this video popped up on my list, I have a 1100 Virago sitting in the shop that needs some attention! You’ve done a great job on this one, looks really nice! Thanks!
Glad that RUclips's Algorithm has picked the video up! Awesome! Go for it. the 100 if chain drive instead of shaft drive?

Awesome job.. luved the way it turned out and looks!👌🏿 Less is definitely more!
Thank you bud. I was pretty happy with it!
Very nice bike. I like the paint and Motogadget Dashboard.
Thank you bud! I am so pleased with how it has turned out. The Motogadget stuff is quality 👌
Damn! what a gorgeous piece of art!
Sand the edges of the engine cylinder fins to make them silver and it'd really punch up the look of this. Nice job.
I subscribed your channel at that moment when I saw you made the seat nuts friendly.
props to you, the build looks great, but can you guys PLEASE do a sound check at the end? Sound is such an important part when building bikes, and it is so satisfying to hear it at the end..
Cheers. The bike is currently off having a new ignition system as it never ran properly.
That’s tight my man… fantastic build.
I keep watching these videos hoping to build something like this, but then I see how much knowledge and tools you need and I leave discouraged every time lol. Great build tho bro
Thank you. Get out and give it a go. This is the first bike I ever built

really nice to watch, if i only hat the time, money and place for something like this, thanks for sharing
What a beautiful bike. Nice one, bud!
Thank you John, Turned out OK didn't it!
First of all let's all bow for those technician engineers.. because of them we r in this generation...
The Yamaha Hipster. It's just like a sportster, but it knows better without any life experience. Lol great build tho brother!
Most underrated comment of the thread
She's a real beauty and fun to watch your process. Makes me want to get back into bikes again. Just... not here in AZ though lol
Thank you bud! I enjoyed watching it all back in one go too! I think this was enough bikes for me for a while!
Hope someday I can have one of those bike like that.🙏 Big fan from 🇵🇭❤️❤️
Thank you
Amazing build on this bike!
the colors work so well together awesome bike
imo i think this type of bike looks much cooler then those crazy choppers that are unrideable.

It’s kind of sad to see lots of these xv750s being turned in to these “cafe racers” but I guess it means they get more love
Great fab work! Such a good looking bike 🙌👌
