Really not sure why people assume this; Melee hasn't been "updated" since 2002 yet people still play it, and people still play PM too. It's always had a scene; it never went anywhere. -A community patch is actually currently being worked on titled "Project+" which, despite not being made by the original development team, is continuing to update the game and has been accepted by the community as the standard version. I hope that someday they make PM bowser more like Ultimate bowser. There are no boring characters to play in PM though, I love headbonking for frame-perfect ness dj-clling(dj-culling) so that I'm almost entirely tucked inside/under the stage. It's not easy but it is very fun. For funsies there's also Fox- short-hop b-turn double-laser around out of a disengaging dash-dance.
@@skippyasqueeze I saw the early rounds of changes that they weakened the crouching armor and improved some other things but I haven't been keeping up with it much.
@@skippyasqueeze They need an obvious sound effect for when Bowser uses his "turtle shell crouch cancel" to eat a move for new players to understand lol. Heavies with good mobility are always fun. I can see weighing your opponent's engages off using c-cancel and b-turn around fireballs, not sure that his offense game is very good unfortunately he is a defensive turtle man in pm haha.
