Lari did great and has such talent, so nothing taken away from her, but dang...Andy is just so good. That tone, his ability to shred and still sound so melodic and musical as he incorporates rhythm and chords while still melting your face at the same time. One of the best.
Andy should just record himself practicing and put it out as an album. It would be great! Lari being so influenced by Andy is pretty neat, and great that she got to jam with him.
Listen, I give Lari max props for daring to go against Andy. She even understandably looked nervous and her playing showed it. Andy is a true legend. One of the greatest of all time. Lari is a beast for even agreeing to try this. Great job to both players.
K. Pádraig O'Kane agreed....i don't understand how he can remember not only the guitar parts, but the lyrics, sounds, tones , time changes etc... to an unbelievable repertoire of music spanning almost any genre of music. Incredible live performer.

Seen Andy play live several hundred times...he wasn't even tryin...seriously....In a real head to head I don't know of many that would even have a chance. Seen him head to with Vai, not even close, Andy killed him. Also saw him kill Eric Johnson, KWS, D. Trucks, Reb Beach, and alot more .....Only one who basically held their own was Satriani. Even then I feel Andy had him beat on anything with a bluesy feel to it. I would like to see him go at it with Ohmura, now that would be epic.......
Tea52 too good at damn near any song you could have him play..... Watched him play songs that the audience was calling out to him several times most of which he played better than the originals
no competion! the only one who could beat Andy would be Steve Morse! but it would be close. both have the best style and tone of any guitar players in my mind!
Todd Yeates that would be a good battle but once it got into the bluesy side of things Andy would have to take him down.....love Morse too though so I wouldn't really want to have to see him try, but if he's going to I would watch...... ; )
