- Live version of "Rikki, Don't Lose That Number" along with a look at their picture sleeve 45s, albums, cassettes and 8-tracks. Also some trivia. Great song. I don't hold copyright on images or music. Just the assembly of these elements. Created for fun and education.
I always wondered if Rikki was a real person or a fictitious one. Wow! She was real alright and beautiful.
Yes she was!
Great to hear a young Fagen when his voice was strong and had range. Skunk probably had another gig booked, he was about to leave them soon. That could be Hodder doing back up vocals
Solo is their if you listen closely, nobody put a microphone on the guitar amp. This is awesome though. Lord the 70's I was only eight but loved them crazy.
I had to turn up the volume to hear it... but it is there.
Tremenda agrupación de lo mejor de los años 70 !😊
You are correct!!!
Very nice : so original
Thank you. I really appreciate that!
Excelente grabación, cuesta encontrar esta canción en vivo 😊
Was real happy I came across this. Glad you liked it!
Jeff Skunk must have been absent for this recording, because I didn't hear any lead guitar solo at all. Interesting and one of their many great songs.
I can hear the guitar solo very low in the recorded mix. 🎸
KMET. THE MIGHTY MET.. “LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN 94.7 . KMET.. TWEEDDLE DEE.. “ 😉🤘🤘. WAS A GREAT STATION
One of the greats!
@@VanishIntoThinArt YUP 🤘🤘🤘
@@johnmiller4553 Dr Demento and Paraquat Kelly. It's been a long time but KMET 94.7 FM was THE Los Angeles station in the 1970s.
@@russahlquist5691 YES IT WAS ALSO EARLY 80s.
A nice rarity
It is fun one to hear.
UMA MIXTURA DE HARD ROCK COM SOFT ROCK PROGRESSIVO NESSA MUSICA LINDA
Totally agree with you!
Yes!!!
You bet!
Beaut bridge
i wonder where’s the Solo is!
5:30 Where's the rest of the riff?
I guess you need to ask Fagen.
I wonder who is on drums? Sounds awesome
It was either Jim Hodder (Original member) or 2nd drummer Jeff Porcaro
@@VanishIntoThinArt I think it was Jeff Porcaro. He was playing a little like Jim Gordon back then.
Did Skunk Baxter take the night off?
Someone didn't raise up his guitar on the soundboard.
You can hear him playing the solo if you listen carefully. A sound engineer asleep at the wheel, probably.
No wonder Donald and Walter didn’t want to keep touring. There was just no way to go out on the road in 1974 and recreate the magic from the studio. There are Steely Dan cover bands now that do a better job with this song live than the actual band did here.
Still interesting to hear Steely Dan live from that time.
Are you effin’ kidding? Great song and great performance. I could listen to this repeatedly.
You're wrong. This is great. It's not supposed to sound like the studio.
Not to shabby IMO
I'm gonna have to disagree, in fact I really wish they had toured more; especially wish they had toured "Aja". Of course it'll be different than the studio, but that's also what's fun about it.
