  • Video on how to replace / remove / install or upgrade factory stereo on Ford F150 truck ( 2004 | 2005 | 2006 | 2007 | 2008 | XL | XLT | LARIAT | 5.4 | SUPERCREW | CREW CAB | EXTENDED CAB | REGULAR CAB ).
    Replacing factory radio on Ford F-150 is very easy and straightforward. First pop out plastic trim piece that is surrounding the radio. Then unplug the airbag wire (make sure to disconnect battery before you do so). Now you have access to the radio. Unscrew four 7mm screws which are holding the stereo in place. Pull out the radio and disconnect radio antenna and 2 plugs from the back side. That's it. Watch the video for the step-by-step guide.
    Thanks for watching.

    You will also need a pair of needle nose pliers and a flat screwdriver because the metal clips will usually stay in the dash and not on the trim piece.

      I put a replacement stereo in my truck today and notice it worked fine, the only difference with the two was the new stereo didn’t have “mp3” written on it the old one did, my battery died after 5 minutes of setting up which is a known issue and I think the battery is getting old , explain more about the codes

    Thank you! When putting the bezel back on, do you install the metal clips on the bezel first and then press in the bezel, or do you leave the metal clips in place and press the tabs of the bezel into them? Thanks in advance.

      You're welcome. It was quite a while since I recorded this video but I believe you should just leave the metal clips in place and press the tabs on the bezel into them

      How did you do it the bottom of mine won’t go back on the top and sides go fine but the bottom pushes in but comes out 😭

    • @DavidHitt-fg4cx
      @DavidHitt-fg4cx Год назад

      @@InaMopar The same thing happened to me. The only way I could get the bezel back on was to pull out all the metal clips, mount them on the bezel, then carefully align the bezel and push it in place.

      Hi, should be the same but you might have more connectors to disconnect behind the radio unit
