Zinedin Zidan was the mastermind of Real Madrid success from 2013-2024+++
His ability to manage ....understand the game and players is perfect .
He was the man behind "la decima"...with his involvement on training sessions and motivation on particular player
He created that "Family vibe" convincing everybody to give their contribution for succes...
No Matters if he plays or not...
For example ...the way he used Gareth Bale, Rodrigo ,Lukas Vasques,...ore even Eden Hazard
The chances that he gave Odegard too(mentoring him with an extreme professionalism and humanity ....Zizzu chooses Arsenal for him ...becaming the main dealer :)
He knew and believed on Benzema
Advising to Perez to maintain him as main striker after CR7 depart.
So Zidan was not "just pas to CR7"
      He was "REAL MADRID "
He created the perfect wining formula(organization,préparation,
      motivation ,harmony ...and luck)

I think so too. These days football has become too mechanical. There is no free flow among football styles. There were times when footballers were so unique that players differ from one another stylistically and they would also be all rounders.
For now I think only Real Madrid has players who can do everything. For example Fede Valverde can just pop in as RW or RB just to fill in spaces left out by his colleagues. If not for Messi and his magic I would have been a Real Madrid fan but still prefer Real Madrid's coaches than Barcelona coaches.
The Barcelona football I saw in Messi's prime without Messi and maybe Xavi, Iniesta or Neymar doesn't work and that proves that football is the players and not just the coaches and their fine tuned tactics.😅
