After watching you blogs for months just wanted to say what a great job you do enjoy your zest for life and that you will take a chance on seeing something different keep up the good work. PS. glad nate is feeling better
OMG guys! I'm watching from vlog 1 and I dont usually comment coz these are 2016 uploads - BUT I danced in this same flashmob in Brisbane Australia on the same day!!!
When in Greece try to see Crete! It's a little island and Heraklion is the home of the old airforce base iraklion. There is also a holy island that you can only see off the coast and can't actually visit called dia or the sleeping dragon because it looks like one. Or look it up and see if it's something you would like to see. Try lots of greek food also... Can't wait for more vlogs!
the Christmasmarkets are so beautiful!!! Come to Cologne, we have lots of them in the City and you can go fast with the Thalys - Train to Brüssel, Amsterdam and Paris
Thanks for letting us know future plans. I used to have a few of those Bavarian hats. After a while they all got crushed and lost their form sadly. Power to you for keeping it as long as you can!
I think Kara could sleep anywhere, as long as she has the neck pillow! I wish I could fall asleep like that ahaha :) Loving your videos, thank you for continuing to share.
@@jschro124 ik its been 3 years but quartine got to me but i highly suggest it i am on my 15 country as a 14 year old girl and it was one of my favorites
Hi Kara and Nate, I am so glad I found y'all on RUclips. I love all your blog's you guys are a sweet couple . I look forward to your videos. Please stay safe on your travels.🔆
I just found out about your channel and have been watching it straight through from the beginning. I have it on in the background as I work from home and it's been a lifesaver as I go undergo travel withdrawal. I had to peak up when I heard that your favorite team had finally beat their rivals with after an 11 year losing streak. Could it be the Florida Gators?? I'm a Gator and couldn't help but laugh because only SEC fans know the importance of college football even when abroad.
Took the same route to Split from Ljubljana by bus - but this was in 1981. Mostly followed the seashore route and it was indeed a long winding trip! Ended up in Omiš
@4:01 All the church bells are GPS syncronoised to ring on eveny hour between 0600hrss to 2200hrs eveyday..... if it was not even 1600hrs that day in your watch, then either you watch or the bells GPS clock were broken.
Can´t wait for your Croatia vlogs guys, I am aiming to get to both Split and Dubrovnik next year and you guys really inspire us part-time travellers to get out there :)
Love you guys so much! Kara you are hilarious and always make me laugh. I am very inspired by your travels and find myself in interesting discussions about travel and can follow along or add all because of the educational content of your vlogs. I'm taking my time with it because I don't want it to end!!!
Well that was a very full vlog...love the travel plans, looking forward to them :) great vlog as always...and so happy you've gotten another good bus ride under your belt...that's like 3 times in a row...wooohooo!! :) BIG HUGS FROM IDAHO :) !
Hello from Wisconsin, USA . To Kara and Nate and everyone! I've been binge watching for a few weeks now, but I have a QUESTION: Where did the vintage looking skate boards get picked up and why? And will they(you) be shipping them home or using them recreationally at some point? Very curious and I'm a handful of videos in on this area you're in traveling, but must of missed which vlog they were purchased and why. Also side note; I love your second hand sweater deal you got Kara, it looks so pretty and cozy! Also sorry about your drone situation, but you're making the best of it and the content is very beautiful! I'm pleasantly addicted to your vlog! Thank you for sharing your travels👍💯💕😃
Pamela }!!{ they got the skateboards in Barcelona when they were with their Australian friends. It seemed like it was a kind of random fun thing to do since none of them had ever skateboarded before plus it made getting around the city faster.
Everyone in Barcelona has a skate due to flat paviment .the one they have in the vlog is called "penny"board ...i guess with 10/15€ you can get One in a Toy shop
When you go to Athens, you must go to the Avocado cafe! It's on Nikis street, just off the main square: Syntagma. And then you must come to BAHRAIN! LOL. The weather is gorgeous now :)
That sounds like a fantastic journey. Dubrovnik is a fantasyland, but it will be the most expensive destination in this leg of the trip. Kotor is like a mini-Dubrovnik, and is considerably cheaper. Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo are even cheaper. All of them are great places with plenty to offer; you will love it. Southern Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo and Bulgaria are kind of like Europe's answer to Southeast Asia. I would suggest you go to Bulgaria too; it's beautiful. And of course Athens is amazing.
I really didn’t like split, I though it was dirty and crowded, you should have gone to zdar. To the national park, and hvar, an island off split. Awesome
Again, 14 mo. late, here are the cities you visited last October in old Yugoslavia which you talked about earlier in this vlog: Podgorica = pod-gore-EAT-suh (there's a little 'v' over the 'c'); Pristina (same little 'v' over the 's') = prish-TEA-nuh; Skopje = SKOP-yay; Mostar = MOE-star.
Hi Guys! I thought I would share some recommendations for you to possibly consider when you are in Greece. Given the time of year, I would highly advise NOT to hit the islands. it is COLD, WET and WINDY...and most are closed (if not the eateries and bars. even the year-around islands like Mykonos, Santorini, Naxos, Crete...are pretty quiet). so.... here are some great mainland locations you should google/research: Ioannina--not too touristy; BEAUTIFUL lake-front city. Resembles Lake Tahoe. Full of history (ottoman empire). also great for silverworks. used to spend my summers there growing up Meteora--the monasteries built high on cliffs (literary means 'between earth and sky) Thessaloniki--second largest city of Greece while in Athens--the new acropolis museum is a must (5euros) and if you want a great deconstructed gyro--go to Kandavlos in the Gazi district also--for what it is worth--I’m a Grk/American, journalist for 11+ years...my suggestions are sound :) hope it is helpful!, have fun and keep traveling!
You should know that 28th of Octomber is national celebration day in Greece and probably will be cheaper flights with aegean air. Also, in Thessaloniki will be a great army parade that it's very beautiful to see at least once (I love it). As long as you stay in Athens you can make day trips to island of Aeginas and Nauplio in Peloponnisos. Of course you should visit Acropoli and Kara would totally love to walk in Monastiraki with the small shops. If you have any questions about Greece don't hesitate to ask me, I want to help you have a great time. For the end, when you refer to Skopje, you should call the country FYROM, the word Macedonia refers to a huge territory and it's something that I can't eplain in couple of lines.
Hey Guys, I've discovered your wonderful channel and enjoy it so much. You really capture the moment and give the feeling of being right along side of you. I feel like I've been on all of these adventures with you. Nate does a great job of filming and I can't say enough about the editing that Kara does. I'm doing some traveling this summer and would like to record and upload some videos mainly so our future grand kids, great grand kids will be able to see what we were like, their parents were like and what our lives were like many generations from now. I have an iPad 6th gen and a Fujifilm XP 130 action camera. Do you think that this will suffice to record and edit quality videos? Also, I don't want to invest in expensive microphones but want to avoid wind noise. Have you ever used windjammers and are they effective? Any advice is greatly appreciated and love the channel!! Keep up the great videos and thanks for sharing!!
We were supposed to leave for Croatia tomorrow. 😢. Sucks to not be going this year (but we've rescheduled for next year!), but it will be nice to see some of it through your eyes instead.
