Imagine how cool it would have been if Smolder evolves based on the amount of stacks he has. Like getting bigger and maybe alternate the abilities a little more.
i imagined something roughtly in the direction like syvanas ult form when they said its a dragon champ. And your idea would work pretty good with that i think.. well, while i dont like the design he has now at least his kit is interesting. although the execute seems op but they can nerf that

Riot showed a texture fix for his face and said they're changing the spash art, but its not on PBE and it might not be for a bit. Unless u meant the fix, then yeah bro is cute.
His Q range scales with his attack range, so if you build Rapid Fire and take Tempo you can get up to 700 range with his Q.
19:52 It looks like the execute percentage goes up infinitely. Vandiril’s video showed the percentage as 143% at 5000 passive stacks. That’s if an enemy is under 143% HP. LOLZ

he gets stacks off of q minion kills and hitting enemies with abilities, just like veigar

His E only gets 1 extra attack per crit item (it also doesn't apply on-hit), but his Q does get up to 30% increased damage yeah. You do stack Terminus per champion hit though, which is interesting. I honestly think on-hit is pretty great on him, and you can still get some crit in there even if you do go on-hit.
it seems to me like he could be powerful built tank/brusier bc of the set true damage burn and execution that scales with stacks on his q. If you can stay in combat longer, then that burn is just going to keep ticking and if you have a lot of stacks they're going to die. Obv you dont get the same benefit from crit so maybe not but it strikes me as potentially powerful for late game hyper-carrying.
I love how he focuses the camera on the champion as soon as he enters combat.

Vayne, xayah in some circumstances, miss fortune e and then r which also works for that champion, kalista can engage with r, sivir also engages with r, so there are other adc champions who uses r first
i feel like in botlane he could do really well with a protective support like tahm kench or maybe braum
nami could be good too. Nami R+Smolder R could be very powerful
Q range is extended by RFC, I think he is going to synergize extremely well with Energize ADC items
I feel like her q upgrade is more like an aphelios shotgun how it shoots behind since it is multiple. Also does the splash from the q trigger stacks if it kills minions or hits an enemy champion?
Id love to see you build him ap and try to see if his damage focus shifts more towards aoe poke with his w, and maybe nashors on hit on his e or soemthing. Ap ratios seem decent, could definitely be fun!
AP is not really great unless you can get far ahead. I haven't tried him on hit AP yet that might be something with his Q

I was thinking ap cdr with nashors to just max out his w AOE damage in team fights and ulti AOE, and then cdr makes his e lower cd as well, so if people try to jump on you you can reposition and do a lot of damage at the same time. I think burst pen with shadowflame stormsurge would be bad, unless giga fed. But maybe like the ultimate cdr item, cosmic, seraphs, nashors and cdr boots or something could be good. Play for poke AOE damage and utility while being very hard to pin down.
Problem is his passive (all magic damage) has no ap scalings, it's all from his stacks. So all AP turns into Phsyical damage on all his QWER
Also Q only has a 15% ap scaling. So you would still need some AD to have a good harass tool.
What interesting could be is riftmaker. And probably shadowflame with the crit.

I love dragons in Runeterra, i play them a lot in LoR (fury) and in LoL. I would love to play him over and over, he actually looks a lot of fun to play. I wonder how he'll interact with Shyv and Asol (my highest mastery). I already heard him talk about J4 smelling like a dragon lol
Curious if rapid fire cannon increase the range of his Q and if so if that would solve the issue you mention of feeling not quite as powerful as you'd like for a late game stacking champ at full build.

I think with all the ap ratios he has you’re meant to go IE shadowflame (who’s bonus damage is increased by IE) making ur abilities crit
I don’t think he has that many ap ratios? The magic damage is mostly based off stacks I think

R had a 100% ap ratio and the center is 130% with the heal having a 75% ratio

Sure he isn't a Kai'sa but he has really good poke and with good positioning can easily retreat over a wall. So no matter what he isn't a adc that needs a ton of peel if he is able to play such high range like a hybrid of lethality varus and can still auto

A caster adc that even though he has infinite scaling with Q he requires a lot of skill to pull off perfectly, I love him

Why ever lucidity over zerks with quickblades? Think about it. Its not like with lucian where you get extra autoattacks per ability. But the faster you can attack, the lower your CD's
I mean it is tho, his Q is treated as a basic attack and procs on-hits which means it can lower its own cooldown with navori. I just don't think full crit is necessary and serylda probably goes way harder on him than any other armor pen item in most situations
