- It's quite hard to find information on what Aviation Machinist mates do on a US Navy ship, but this video would help you understand, as it's about me waking up to my alarm and getting dressed to start Night shift which starts at 1900 (7pm) and ends 0700 (7am)
the views are breathtaking, the tasks performed are unique, the information share is one of a kind, and the way the footage was shot is thoughtful.
As an AViation machinist mate also known as "AD," we are known for servicing engines with oil, like that's all we do, don't be fooled, we do more than that, depending on what platform you're assigned to.
RIP, man you will be missed. I always enjoyed our conversations and you were such a kind and down to earth person.
What happened?
@romeothegucii I am not sure of the details, but he fell off the boat. He was presumed deceased a couple of weeks ago by the navy.
@@garryyedkois5242RIP man we are grateful for his service I just clicked on the video because I just enlisted and going in for MM wanted to know what it’s like but it’s sad to hear he has passed
@@garryyedkois5242are you serious !!!! This kid passed away?? Oh man
RIP, man I just watched alot of his stuff a month or two ago. May god with his family!
Very informative! These videos really help to show what being in the Navy is like. I’m prior service Army and in the process of joining and have no idea what any of the rates actually do. Thanks for posting this.
Top quality content, very educational. Thanks very much for this! 🙂
Ngl watching you do your job was highly enjoyable. I hope some high quality BM’s can come make your ship look pretty again though lol
Looks like dream job to me. Very inspiring man. Keep it up.
In my opinion, it’s a cool job when you’re not the one doing it…
@@oriolaaregbesola9960i been hearing that alot lately idk about joining anymore to be honest
Great job you are doing👌
You’re living my dream life dude
Is that so? Find the nearest NAVY recruiting center to you, they would gladly sign you up.
Underrated
The rate im going for is AD just waiting on my paperworl to clear as theres only one doctor at my meps location ..... So its been taking months
The NAVY is really looking for you. We are undermanned.
Best of luck with bootcamp.
I made it thought last summer, it’s not as bad if you just listen, do what you’re told, and stay motivated. I’m an AD it’s a pretty cool experience though I got spoiled since my platform and squadron don’t go on ships very often.
That ship must not have a BMC.
i just got my orders and i was assigned to helos, how is it ?
You’ll love and hate it all at the same time, depends on your rate, and what squadron you get sent to.
Ur allowed to just film like that?
