Love you both dearly 💗💗. Beautiful couple, beautiful band, saw you recently at Sheffield City Hall recently, again! Ripe old age of 73 and need to see them again before I slip off this mortal coil. Want to be at the same end of the stage as Lorraine 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Saw them on Saturday 9~07~ 22 one of the best nights of my 43 years! Absolutely amazing band! Better than 30 years ago. Same keys, same high notes, same movements! Lorraine is a gem of a musician. Love you Ricky you look like my Dad did when yous were 30! Edinburgh Castle you were incredible as a host. Long Live Deacon Blue! X
I’ve just downloaded all their hits forgot how much I love these I’m addicted to Deacon Blue all over again !!! Alexa must be sick of hearing me asking her to play them 👍
Took me back to my youth. Have all their albums and still listen. This performance was faultless and wjat a band!!! For those that were never around yo appreciate them first time, you missed a lot. Well done Deacon Blue.
The love of my life introduced me to DB and I used to listen to ‘When Will you’ (make my phone ring) hoping he’d call. He passed away 4 years ago and this song always brings tears to my eyes. ‘Raintown’ one of my fave albums and they were brilliant live, still are as this show proves 👏👏❤️
One of my favourite bands. Amazing and great to see them still well and together. Along with prefab sprout and style council they were way ahead of their time. Rick Ross is an extremely talented song writer
Dignity, i love this song as well, its a classic and Timeless, its kinda sad, thinking about the past and reliving memories thats why its a great song.
Great!! And as a musician most bands/singers these days tune down as they can no longer hit the high notes as they did when they were young so technically cheat by lowering the pitch of the song but they are both still singing this live in the original key of G that they recorded in the 80's/90's - brilliant!!!:):)
I don’t remember if they made it to MTV or on the radio in the U.S. in the late 80’s, but I am glad I came across them a couple years ago on RUclips. Another great group that came out of Scotland/Great Britain in the 80’s. Still sounding great after all these years, thanks!
Yes for a small country great Britain produce the best musicians ,and pretty much everything else. A powerful group of countrys, Wales England Scotland
Always loved their music and I think their story together is wonderful. I just celebrated my 25 year anniversary and don't perform so frankly I am an amateur. Lots of love to Ricky and Lorraine.
@@kennethwilliams9924 Her old man can sing too. But the wifey was born with a golden voice that only a few ever get given. Great to hear she never wasted it.
I was a big fan back in the day & as the years crept up I sort of moved on musically but I saw them last weekend 4/6/22 in Dublin, they were fantastic, they haven’t lost it one bit
Someone posted a comment (which might have disappeared) asking how I could say something about Raintown not being a commercial success and the suggestion was Raintown was a big hit album in a dozen or so countries. In the UK at least, Raintown spent 2 weeks in the top 100 albums the year it was released (1987). It was pulled from sale in the UK while the re-recorded Dignity was issued as a single (if you wanted to own Dignity you had to buy the single, and voila suddenly they finally had a top 40 UK single and began to get radio airplay more regularly). After "When Will You" was re-issued in March 1988 Raintown was made available again. Ricky said that the difference having 2 small top 40 singles hits made was instead of selling 10k albums, they now sold 100k. When it was re-issued as a limited edition album with Riches (10k Lps, 10k cassettes) Raintown broke into the UK top 20 album charts for 3 weeks - it never made the top 10 album chart in the UK. It ended up spending 77 weeks on the UK album top 100 album chart and got another boost when Real Gone Kid became a top 10 hit (6 months before the 2nd album went on sale) and Wages Day went top 20 and then the 2nd album went to No.1. I think Raintown sold well in Ireland when DB took off there around the same time as the UK. I'm not aware of DB having any hit singles in Europe outside of Spain until Your Town in 1993.

Flawless performance

Brilliant
Hi! It's like I T! Decon Blue tó coming back!!!🥰👍🎶♥️
Her voice complaints Ricky's voice so well.
Not my type of music but I do like the song "queen of the new year" l like the urgency and the groove ...admire their talent and longevity!
At 7:57 he’s got the look “ will you let me get a word in women” 😂😂
In 30-plus years they haven't changed much. Both defying their years.
looking healthy there Ricky, good job.
Best of the eight's must include Deacon Blue and Fairground Attraction in my top ten.
How fab are they.
