If it survived the hit fully functional is another question but these GoPros are sturdy little things and survive a lot of being thrown around. The usual way they die is if there’s a sharp object hitting the lenses directly, otherwise they often survive big crashes.

I wonder if any young people watching this, knows that a version of this was popular a hundred years ago. On the west coast, loggers built what was known as " Log Flumes". A very long, sometimes several miles in length, "V" shaped, water slide. There were special boats to ride the flume so as to check for repair. As you drive up Hiway 14 , in Washington state, ( though now in ruin) you can still see a few of them. What a lot of fun!
Lyn--They were made from Douglas Fir, a much tougher wood. They really more of a plank sled than a boat. If you ever saw the degrees of incline the flumes were on you would hardly believe someone would be so reckless. ( Oh youth!) It must have been one helluva ride.
