You couldn't have said it better. Ladies.. I've been ghosted. We men get ghosted too. It is the ultimate disrespect. Within 2 weeks I've texted 6 texts and made 3 phone calls which the last one resulted to being hung up on and sent to voice mail. Love yourself so much that you wouldn't allow yourselves to fall victim to this new trend. Fuck them. You dont want someone like that BELIEVE ME

Often times, to normal people who have a conscience and healthy levels of empathy, our natural reaction to getting ghosted is to assume that we must have done something wrong to hurt the other person, otherwise why would they suddenly cut off all contact? It's such cold, irrational behaviour. We feel a sense of guilt and we find ourselves wanting to reach out to them to ask if they're ok. DON'T do this! You know deep down if you've done something wrong. Most of the time you are not the one with the problem - they are the dysfunctional ones. Let them go and be glad that they are no longer in your life.

I needed this.. my EX boyfriend just ghosted me out of nowhere .. I went on a trip and after I came back I noticed that he was acting funny. He started talking to me less, stopped planning dates , whenever I wanted to hang out he would make an excuse. One day he just didn't text me back and that was the last time I heard from him. I was sad at first but then I realized I deserve so much better . Someone who truly loves me will never just leave me in the cold. Thank you for this video , I needed to hear this
It definitely hurts worse than not knowing. Ghosted 2 times by same man who acted like he didn't do anything wrong. He was very immature and inconsiderate. Cowardly cowardly cowardly. Stay gone

Don't feel bad but love yourself more and remember the pain you felt when he tries to come back. I've noticed that when guys disappear women tend to blame themselves but in reality that guy got so Sh!+ With him and you don't want any part of it!! We've all been through it but let him stay in the grave!! 😊

I can’t stand when they crawl back. The “ who is this?” Line really works lol. The tables turn but at that point I have no feelings for them anymore and could care less that they’re chasing me again. You just get over it.

I got ghosted after a year and half of being involved with a dude.
I found out he's with a new chick ( not surprised at all ) and moved in with her.😒
But since he left, my blessings have been coming to me.
So I'm happy.
I was ghosted almost 40 years ago after dating a guy for a year and a half. He met someone else, a well-known, beautiful, charismatic singer in California, and she hero-worshiped him, totally blew up his ego to the point where his head got so swelled up it's a wonder he could get through doorways. It took me many months before I found out what had happened and I was crushed. Long story short the woman he thought he'd fallen in love with was very different from the woman he ended up being married to. She was an emotional child - neurotic, self-obsessed, insecure, needed constant attention and ego-stroking, and eventually ruined him financially when her singing career tanked. In 2014 my phone rang one day and it was him. At first I was pretty frosty with him but he said he needed to talk to me so I invited him over. In short, he apologized profusely, said he'd divorced a few years back, I was never out of his mind and that he'd made a terrible mistake and only stayed in the marriage because of their daughter who they both loved unconditionally. Once she was out of the nest and on her own there was nothing left in the marriage for him to want to stay and they divorced, acrimoniously. She still harasses him to this day. But long story short, we got together again and now have a wonderful relationship. Never say never, people change and grow and if they can admit their mistakes and guilt, and feel truly remorseful, give them a chance. It's the best thing I ever did.

And then there are some extra legendary ghosts who are online pretty frequently, and you can literally see "Active 3 minutes ago" but still they will reply to your messages after a week! 😂😂

I needed this .... The guy I talked to last year vanished on me after 4 months of talking to me. And I tried to message him, but then I stopped. So I'll let him stay dead.

I have been talking to this guy for a little over 2 months, I should've known he would ghost me eventually. I saw red flags and chose to look past them. He never asked me on a date, and the one time we were supposed to meet up, I had to take initiative to set up the date, and of course he cancelled on me. I never got to meet this guy. We only facetimed ONCE, after me constantly asking if we could talk otp. Whenever I would ask when we can facetime or talk on the phone he would say things like "yeah I'll PROBABLY be free monday, or "Yeah I MIGHT be able to facetime you tonight" like it's not the hard to pick up the phone and call me, but I guess it is if you're not interested. I take it as he had no intentions on ever meeting me or taking things to the next level. He was just a waste of my time, energy, and effort. But I know now that I will NEVER let a guy waste my time again. I hope he gets what's coming to him.

You could have mentioned one of your previous videos about emotionally unavailable people. People who ghost are often emotionally unavailable people, though not necessarily.
brinckau that video was recorded yearsss ago and I didn't feel it was necessary for this video because whether or not if someone is emotionally unavailable I am at a place in my life where I will only date people who are emotionally ready and able to handle dating. Because I know my worth if someone does the ghost thing I move on instead of trying to figure out why or see if they are emotionally unavailable.
It is not about, I have worth but I still must figure out why. EVERYONE DOES!!

The consensus is that the best way to respond to ghosting is move on and live your life. I agree. But we first have to tell the victim to go through the emotions, then can they move on. Trying to increase activity and social life to heal only works after the emotions are acknowledged. Sometimes pain just knocks u down for a minute you know.

This Helps! My Guy Friend GHOST me for one night, No call or text. The next day he replied to my text w/ an unacceptable excuse, No reply from me. Then he Called, No reply from me. In my Past there were Ghosting early in the Relationship, later I learned they cheated. So Fastforward til this Day, Moving/Moved On👍👍
I’ve allowed him to ghost me for years, always accepting, trying to understand him because of my love for him, putting him before my own self. Not realizing my self worth. On a new journey now, without him understanding that I’m most important. ❤️🥰 thank you for the video

This happened to me. 3 months into dating, staying over at his, he cooked for me, picked me up, drove me home, I met his friends and he met mine.
I came back here to tell that I did exactly what you told. It was so hard but I know my self worth. It is worse than a break up. June 11th I deleted his number and left it at that. I haven't heard back from him. Don't think I will as we all have post graduate exams coming soon. Whatever reasons like you said it takes 2 seconds to tell a person what they feel. I agree, there are levels.

I know how hard it can be but I promise you the man for you will not put himself in a position to lose you and he will communicate with you and not leave you in the dark. Trust me you do not want to waste your time on someone who doesn’t show up. A relationship with someone like that would be a painful one and why waste your time. This is a blessing in disguise. @@therealblackcarriebradshaw1837 Hey surprisingly no. I kinda of wanted to hear from him. BUT in August I happened to bump into him. I told him upfront I didn't appreciate being left and he hurt me. He said prior to this 'Oh I thought we were friends?' I told him if he was and cared he would have reached way back to me in May itself and I told him I even deleted his number. We had regular banter and he still seemed attracted, he somehow got to my knees asking how I got a cut. Long story short no, sadly, even after I cleared the air. I don't know what he thought nor did he answer but I got my last say and was pleasant, so he will feel it in some way or another.
Oh wow! That's craaaaaaaaaaazy but at least u were able to get ur "closure", speak ur peace & u seem back to urself so I'm happy for u. I feel like I'm getting back to myself too. I think the first few days/weeks are the worst & just not having any answers....nothing, it drives u quite mad.

What I usually do is I continue dating someone else and when he comes back I let him in and pretend we're still dating and date them both :| or even a third if both ghost away :v I'm sorry was that mean? So was his act! :V

Good advice to let someone who ghosts remain dead and to move on with your life. Consider, however, for a moment, the point of view of the ghoster. While women need "closure", I think most men don't need it. If a ghoster disappears, simply understand that the ghoster wants to break up and has his/her reasons for doing so. When someone is breaking up, who wants the drama of trying to explain the reasons to the ex? Why would a woman want to hear that her ex found someone new or lost interest in the ex, and how would a woman react to such information? Probably with anger, argumentation, hostility, denial, or other drama.
The ghoster is trash, and lacks empathy. They should just say and if the person he wants to break up with can’t accept what their reasoning is, then it’s cool to bounce. It’s called being emotionally intelligent and a mature adult.
