  • Over the winter a bladder seal failed on one of my loader rams and on the advice of my local engineering shop, I ordered in the factory rebuild kit and waited for the right time to take my machine down while the loader's hydraulic ram got sent off to get rebuilt.

Great info! Thanks for sharing. I have to do two cylinders closest to the bucket. Those cylinders look like they hold a lot of hydraulic fluid. For New Holland, that stuff is VERY expensive!

Thank you so much for posting this video! In my mind I had this built up to be a chore but now I see it won’t be hard at all!!

You made me laugh! I have a bad relation with C-clips myself! But they are very convenient in use. Not when servicing! Working with hydraulic is always the same. You take much effort to not spill too much and finally get a gallon on the ground! Last time I worked on a ram, I got oil on the ceiling of my garage!!!

Those clips are also known as whee parts. when they fly they go WHEE! to parts unknown.
I'm gonna look for that spot with no vegetation whatsoever next time I fill your tank and giggle.
Who'd ya take the ram to for service? I got one I should have worked on as well.

Both Eagle Engineering and Boyer Mechanical Services can rebuild hydraulic rams, I happened to be going to Bemidji anyway, so Boyer, but you're closer to Eagle.

As of yesterday, I'm back on an LCHF diet. Last time I did it, I went from 280 to 204. Now I'm fat again. Sigh.

Yeah, me too. I have already had one stent put in, don't need any more! Cutting back on everything but it is hard, I travel too much.
