Straight up, this was a fantastic video. Very easy to understand and follow with great explanations. You just need a bigger pipe wrench or a cheater pipe. Downward force on the wrench from and elevated position is a recipe for a head injury.
Thank you brother, much appreciated for your time. Got to do this tomorrow
Not a bad idea to run a ball hone down the barrel while it’s apart. That’ll give it a nice surface for them piston and gland seals to seal against and remove any light surface imperfections that could damage the new o rings, wear rings, etc.
Excellent video! Good camera angles where I could see everything. But the main thing is just the ideal amount of conciseness!
Well done sir.
I think I might be able to replace the seals on my splitter after watching.
Thanks
Thank you sir. Had to replace a hydraulic hose on the skid steer. Figured I ought to seal the cylinder while the reservoir was already empty lol
You also have great attention to detail, noting things that are significant, great how-to guide!
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Do you use the red loctite? I'm going to rebuild the leaking cylinders on my Ford tractor. The one that's leaking is the bucket cylinder. Thanks Pete and God Bless you.
Ok. We gonna try. 2 old women 63 and 65. I’ll let you know how it goes. I wish you were close! Lol homesteading. Can’t afford to hire out. Lol.
Thank you! I’ll check back in when we get it done. In Oklahoma. Hot right now. May not be for a few days. I’m gonna watch this a few times before we try.
@@Greenacres1958 how did it go?!
@@treeclimberdave they died
I loosen the flange nut while on the tractor.
That’s a good way to do it Especially when the flange is super tight. Thanks for watching Man
Great video. Quick tip, buy chef gloves instead of those blue ones. They’re exceptionally strong. Better than mechanics gloves. Cheers
Thanks Pete! I had did cylinders before, but I wanted a refresher video and yours we're great!
Thanks for watching

Excellent video. Thanks a lot for this work.

Good explanation, i just did my Kubota bucket cylinder was just like that. Only thing i did differant was to heat the piston seal to about 200 degrees in hyd. Oil to soften it up.
Great video and information, sir. Let me ask you if you have a cylinder but no name on it. How do you know what seal kit to buy? Thank you sir.
