Not only am I addicted to knitting, I am now addicted to your podcasts 😍 You two are so much fun! I work in an office with my sister (12 years younger than me) and we laugh so much, people come looking for the party. I'm all caught up on episodes & can't wait for next weeks!
another great episode. I love the new yarn. My sisters and I get along like you. One of my sisters and I worked at the same law firm for 14 year when it closed she went to work for the school district and i went to a small office. She ended up convincing the board office to create a new job for me, they did and we worked together for another 7 years until I retired. Happy to see the fun other sisters have together.
I'm glad I was home alone when I watched this week so I didn't have to explain why I was laughing so hard! As always, I loved this episode, thanks so much. I married an Islander (he grew up in "town"). We met in Halifax, and while we were dating I lived "up west" in Alberton for a summer. I told him that I found Island directions confusing. He just laughed. The more he tried to explain, the more confused I was! I was trying to remember how folks in Alberton talked about Summerside and Charlottetown, but I can't remember since it was a while ago, and people often gave me more specific directions than "town" because I was From Away. Haha!
Fleece & Harmony my favourite directions were about stuff or people who weren’t there anymore. “Just past the old Smith place on the right” may mean the Smith family hasn’t lived there for 75 years, and it may also mean the house isn’t even there anymore! If I asked for a clearer explanation, I often got “big white house with a front porch by the potato field.” 😳 I laugh, but I loved living there, and I love visiting the Island. My in-laws live in Cornwall so we’re over fairly often.
I laughed and laughed with you all. I always enjoy the farm/weather report. The Angora goats are adorable and the new yarn is very lovely. Thank you for an enjoyable podcast. Keep cool!
Loved watching this episode... giggling along with you- can totally picture squish squish chucking that road kill 🤣... thoroughly enjoy - great energy.
You both crack me up! I enjoy laughing while I am knitting! I loved your interview and I can't wait to see your new yarn. What you have so far is gorgeous!! Can't wait for your next podcast.
I always look forward to the podcast. There is always something to laugh with the two of you as well as beautiful makes and Fiber. I have also been lucky enough to go to PEI twice and will come back. I will certainly plan to come to knit night and see both of you. Thank you
Oh man! Love cashmere goats!! You know what’s funny?! Few months ago @loftyloops posted a pic of what I’m sure was the start of birds of a feather n several of us were like ummm “bow chicka wow wow” nice undies lol...totally don’t feel so bad for strolling the gutter now! Always a great time w/ you two! 💕
I knit that Birds of a Feather and I was constantly getting comments from my husband that it looked like a g-string, then after awhile it just looked like a giant’s g-string! It took quite awhile before it stopped reminding us of that particular garment. By the way, mine turned out HUGE, probably because of my loose gauge, so be warned! I do love it though, it’s so soft and squishy! Love your podcast! Hope the heat has abated as it has here in Montreal.
Luv the podcast. Mr. Cashmere Billy sure looks like a character! When you finish your sweater, you should put up a picture of Joe Batt's Arm so people from away will know what the heck you are talking about...... LOL Hugs from Calgary. Hope to make it home to Dartmouth with a side trip to PEI later this summer.
Jennifer how did you get the Ranunculus pattern to fit you so well without all of the ease I have seen on the Ravelry finished sweaters I have seen? It is lovely on you. Thank you for your podcast🧶
Dee Verti Hi! Little known fact, those pictures are of the modified LARGER pattern (that comes with) on teeny people. Mine is exactly according to pattern, in the regular size pattern.
I just love your podcast! You deserve all the viewers and I’m sure the number will grow! I would really love to visit the Maritimes some day ( I live in New England)!
Ok, it was a good episode until the Birds of a Feather bikini incident, and then I was giggling like crazy!! That was hilarious! I also have to admit that I thought it was resembling some for of women’s undergarment before the bikini comment was brought, so I guess I was on the same wavelength as that customer! Thanks for another lovely time with you, dear ladies. I hope to be able to come and visit you some time in the future!
You heard correctly. It was a temporary shrine...you can google it I'm sure. Basically, the poor thing died on the sidewalk and it took the city a ridiculous amount of time to come pick it up.
The Toronto Raccoon story makes me laugh every time. My friends live there and I really want them to buy me one of those Toronto vs. Raccoons T-shirts. “Get Better Soon!”
Your skunk story made me laugh out loud! So Jennifer-pro tip-always keep a small project bag with socks in your car! That way you will never be stuck without a project.
You shoulda told Kevin you were knitting him a g-string for a special "after hours" collection that you were designing. And that you fully expected him to model it for you for publication!! 😂😂😂 Lovely episode and the prospect of you producing cashmere yarn is swoon-worthy 😂 Don't you just wanna have another look at it though? 😂😅😂
Quite a laugh to end the podcast...and wonderful interview - very informative. i was curious how many skeins of yarn could you put up with a pound of cashmere? Also how do the sheep fare in the hot weather? thanks joni
We put up 22 skeins. We worry about the sheep in that weather, of course, we make sure they have shade and unlimited water, and the tend to switch to eating a night only, so they can stay under shade cover during the day. They are pretty smart!
I checked with my Island husband and he says when he lived there (and probably is the same now), if you're up west, "town" is indeed Summerside. So, 2 cities that are both towns, but only depending on if you live up or down. 😂
Knitting and hospital visits are essential partners to keep us balanced. My goodness your life in the country is certainly exciting! Love the faces of those goats; they look very happy in their home. Yup, unisex bikini....blushes all around. Great episode; thanks for the laughs! HUgs
@@FleeceHarmonyPodcast Or on the plane, ferry or in the car. Or out shopping with your husband when you might have to wait for him. This is one reason why I carry a larger purse...I always have knitting in it.
I had to laugh at the “bikini” story. Since the Birds of a Feather pattern was published I think “thong” every time I see the beginning part of the pattern😁. The yarn combo you are using is beautiful. You girls definitely have fun together!
As a very addicted knitter the first thing that I pack when I get ready to go anywhere is my knitting. One year my mother took me out to a very nice restaurant for my lunch. The waiter came over and asked us if we had such and such a car which I did and told me that I had a very flat tire. So I ended up going from there to a tire dealer who was close but not the brand that I needed for my car. So I was stuck there for almost 4 hours waiting for them to get The tire that I needed. It was the one day of my life in the last 30 years that I left this house without something to knit. I was stuck there watching a little black-and-white television that one of the elderly neighbors would come in in the afternoon and insisted he watch a certain judge show and I’m telling you at that point I was ready to carjack somebody and go get something to knit. So in the future no matterwhere you’re going I have a little checklist that I run off in my mind before I lock the door. have I got my phone my knitting and my money? The cashmere seems very exciting. I wonder if the farm she left on the West Coast is still producing cashmere? I mean it’s still Canada right? Good luck with that I think it will be wonderful.
Kate Sander ugh! Made the same mistake with a car repair earlier this Spring as well!! I need to get it together! 💙 The bit about the lady and the show is HILARIOUS!! Sounds like PEI!!!
😂 me too! So funny. I watch these podcasts with my earbuds in while my partner watches (endless) sports and I laughed so loud and hard at this segment. Love these podcasts so much!

Hi I just found you, awesome podcast🤗
Go Vid thank you!
Another wonderful episode! Did I hear correctly--a shrine to a raccoon was built in Toronto?
You heard correctly. It was a temporary shrine...you can google it I'm sure. Basically, the poor thing died on the sidewalk and it took the city a ridiculous amount of time to come pick it up.
Great episode as always! Your relationship sounds just like my sister and me. X
