There’s something different about him compared to other generic next gen players. The ball sounds like a gun shot coming off his racket. The way he can fearlessly change direction of the ball without forfeiting any speed or power is incredible. While Tsitsipas, Khachanov, Zverev etc. can get really defensive and boring, Sinner’s game is built on early 2000s era offense. But he still has consistency, unlike Shapovalov or Rublev. He’s my pick for the next gen with the highest potential
@@djedd23 Also I understand why people say that cause his average game can be quite straightforward and predictable a lot of times, but they surely aren't watching in person which would be way more amazing to see. You can't appreciate how loud the smack of the ball on his racquet is on TV you can't hear it, and you can't see the high octane pace and intensity etc. anywhere near as well on TV either. Needs to be seen in person
@@eyeofhorus1301 yeh I understand why they said that but he isn’t that predictable to me though. His backhand is hard to read. And sure he plays an offensive baseline game mostly but why wouldn’t you when you play like him? He is more interesting than Rublev if you ask me, and clearly also has good touch and defence and can think on court. Certainly not boring anyway! Just turned 20 too; it’s gonna be fun to see how is he does over the next few years.
Sinner is one of the cleanest ballstrikers plus has the mind of a champion. He clearly can be a grand slam winner. I wish him all the best, very enjoyable to watch! Forza!
Sinner, how can you not love this guy, ballstriking ferociously clean with effortless power, got a great head on young shoulders, one of my favourites to watch on the tour atm
Anyone else think that he's going to be one the biggest new stars. I see him doing things and making shots that most of the other new players don't do. I see him doing some of these shots that Federer would do which would surprise everyone. Good defensive skills and running down balls. If he gets that speed up even more like a Nadal or Djokovic he's going to be quite huge on tour. It'll come down to work ethic and mental toughness I think
@Mqcha Hehe I would love seeing that. This kid is showing a lot of potential, but if it is him and Nadal, it's going to be a lot closer than that. But it would be good to see one of the youngsters break through. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic can't play forever. It'll be tough to lose them, so it's time for some of these youngsters to start building their work ethics and start winning
There’s something so alluring about Sinner’s groundstrokes. Unless he’s on the stretch or changing direction on the run, he follows his racket through nearly all the way to the back of his head on every shot.
@Transistor Jump It's obviously he didn't start at 20, otherwise he wouldn't be a pro. Since you have a hard time extracting meaning from something as obvious as this, I edited my message so you can understand :)
@Transistor Jump He started to play tennis everyday just when he was 13. Before his first sport was ski as everybody knows (and he was Italian champion in his category). Tennis was just an hobby. He decided to dedicate his life to tennis at 13 when he moved to bordighiera to the Piatti's centre.
The rankings are misleading, he should be a top 10. Sinner played better than Federer, Thiem and Shapovalov this year. I am confident that he will be on atp finals, has such a great game, he will shine in 1-2 years if he keeps it in the same smooth manner.
Although the rankings are based on points gained from winning and different tournaments give different amounts of points and he is 15tj in order to be on atp finals there is another tanking where he is 10th and above shapovalov federer and thiem
@@omeramitai2593 Yeah, I am aware of the atp race. I was just stating that some top 10 players are not playing on that level right now and there are many players out of top 10 that have reached that level. The atp race give you the ranking at the end of the year, which means that sinner will be on top 10 for a shorter period than he needed to be this year.
Que hagan uno zverev adolescente tiene mas Jugadores top 10 que todo este top.. tiene buen nivel pero es todo contra rivales de atp 250 solo vi un tsitsipas por ahi
Jannik, you have talent today! And when he's 24, 25, what will that talent be like? . They are not comparable, nadal an inexhaustible tank, Rafa without his physique? It would not be what it is. Something admirable about him, but let's be honest, Rafael was not a Pete Sampras, not at all, he's like "Un Sereno W", just look at the 4 legs, they are the same! Rafa and serena from the waist down twins.
@Saya Rafa has won a grand slam at the age of 19,sinner is 20 and has not won a masters 1000 yet....not saying sinner is bad but Rafa was a beast as a teen
Happy birthday Jannik! What could the Italian achieve in his 20s? 🇮🇹
I can imagine Masters and grand slam titles.
Litterally anything :)

5 grand slams and world #1 a few times

I would absolutely second that....I guess he will be number one sooner or later...
Some people say he is boring and one-dimensional. If you watch this video, i'm not sure how you can think that.
@@djedd23 To be fair this video is very selective highlights of his absolute best shots which might be quite rare

Jannik Sinner was 19 for like four years
coincides with how slow everything feels during the pandemic >_

Jannik Sinner is the new era of Tennis 🇮🇹 🏆
What's cool about him is that he just look like an ordinary high school/early college kid that maybe ran some track. But plays world class tennis.
so excited to see what he achieves in the future! a superstar in the making for sure ✨
I’d like to wish first of all a very huge success in his young career and secondly Happy Birthday do him!
Happy birthday Jannik, you are the future of tennis.
His game reminds me of Agassi, Nalbandian and Safin
Such clean and powerful shots from both wings

This is the future of Tennis I guess.
I love this guy's game! Hope he stays healthy for many years to come ...
he is such a talented bloke and also with reasonable success. hope he keeps improving and plays with much more consistency at higher level.
"through the kitchen sink." that's one for the books 😂 happy belated birthday Jannik!! to an amazing career!
Kid has soooo much potential. I hope to see him playing in Torino
@Transistor Jump relative to his time as a pro? absolutely he's just a kid

@Transistor Jump There's a reason "college kid" is a phrase. Because people college-aged can be called kids by people who are older than that. Duh.
@Transistor Jump 13

sinner is amazingly consistent. I hope I am not jinxing it.

Jannik the best.
they should bring back carpet courts
That’s Steve Johnson backhand is a thing of beauty
he'll win a grand slam in 2024
nice prediction
Bravissimo!
what was that drop shot from popsicle? at 1:36 hahaha this is why he hasnt won a tournament
He was so little in the first point
He needs one single weapon in his repertoire, either serve or forehand and then he will surpass many great legends
Sinner punches hard
Watch out, the last time we had someone this young with this many amazing shots was when? Go ahead, I'll let you guys debate...

When he hits it looks like his body is made of rubber, which says a lot about where power in tennis comes from
he looks like Bill skärsgard
well watching tennis after many years I see ball are slower, way slower and commentary is somehow embarrassing I don't know why
