- the first installment of a 3-part piece I composed for @Next_Fest - this one is titled "love and hold nothing back" and I hope it makes you feel that way. Next one will be coming next friday!
Because we are doing this DIY, we are holding a gofundme to help turn this performance into a studio-quality recording: gofund.me/6ec8...
Please contribute if you'd like to help pay 19 string players to make this dream recording a reality!
This was so much fun, Yvette! Definitely my favorite performance of 2023. Thank you for writing this for us and see you in the studio ☺️
you smashed that violin solo for real! See you super soon!!
Thank you for the beautiful performance!
I was listening to this in another tab and when that solo at the end hit I had to stop what I was doing. That vibrato is fire 🔥
@@froobly thank you so much! Hoping to make it even better on the recording 😈
“See you in the studio” just made my day. 😮
Just donated to the gofundme because I, and the rest of the world, needs to hear a studio recording of this.
Thank you so so so much!!!
I love how whatever music you work with, it sounds and feels like being told a coherent story from start to end. I desperately wanted to see this live but this high quality vid is the next best thing. Gorgeous collaboration bewteen you and the orchestral artists! I'm excited to hear the next two parts!
gonna try out best to record it!!
This was absolutely gorgeous. You really did love and hold nothing back, all of you. I'm looking forward to the other two movements!
This was incredible, the way it builds up, how everything mixes and flows but still retains clarity. Don´t hit me with the feels on a friday, Yvette. Part 2 can't come soon enough! I implore everyone that can donate to go to the gofundme, let's reach that recording!
the conductor looks like he's having a blast
This is the most moving piece of music I’ve heard in a long time. I honestly had tears welling up by the end, it’s just so beautiful.
Yvette, I told you this when I met y'all in Philly, but seriously every piece of music you create is always able to transport me to a safer place. I feel like I'm in a Ghibli movie or something every time. Thank you so much for being such a beacon of light in the world and for personally being my biggest inspiration when it comes to songwriting.
This is exactly the feeling. It's like a hug in song.
I love Yvette's playing and I love modern classic string instrument composition. This is amazing and beautiful and really, really good to listen to.
This is so beautiful
The string composition is incredible. And Y Y is the wizard of the guitar. Creating magic with those fingers. Casting a spell on all that listen's. Mesmerizingly beautiful.
So beautiful!!! This needs to be recorded at the studio!!! Please guys make it happen! ❤
very strange, I've been subscribed to you for years. Today I noticed the subscription was set to don't notify. The only way I could fix it was unsubscribe and subscribe again. This is the second account I have seen like this,
It’s weird! A lot of people tell me they never get notifications from me 🙈
@@yvetteyoungmusic maybe let people know there is a fix.
Yvette your music has kept me plying my curiosity to guitar for the past few years more and more and more. this is music I will show my children one day. thank you for your creativity and always sounding like yourself. love from Memphis
I was very stressed before listening to this. Key word “was”
Everything about this is incredible. Yvette you never fail to amaze me.
That was really beautiful. The title represents how the piece feels/sounds for sure. I really felt it. Had a lump in my throat from when the cellos came in.
Also as a sidenote, for fun I often think about collaborations between artists that I think would work really well; I've legitimately pictured you working with Bon Iver (well Justin Vernon) and SIgur Rós, and this sounds kind of in the ballpark of what I'd imagined! I'll be coming back to this video a lot (and probably the other two once they're out). I hope you reach your funding goal to have this recorded and released cos this is just stunning.
Ps. I love your sparkly green guitar amongst all the mahogany lookin ahh string section lmao.
That would be such a dreammm
I'd love to see something like this at the BBC Proms. Having an electric guitar as the lead instrument would certainly be something different. Anyone know of any major orchestral performances where an electric guitar has been used as a lead?
Thank you Yvette for all the beauty you bring into this world.
Can someone tell me what amp she used @5:23, it's giving me underwater and its awesome
Some kind of guitar pedal.
I really hope that this gets a full recording because i don’t think any song has moved me the way that this one has.
I sincerely believe that this will be the song I use for my first dance at my wedding.
How do you write so much emotion into your music? It's like breaking between a Miyazaki and Zelda-like epic. Neo-classical progressive emo? All of my feels with wholesome adrenaline? Red Bull definitely should use this in their reels for epic shots. Dxxxxxx
The sound is huge and beautiful! Amazing performance.
Good thing that's the title because i love it and i aint holding back my tears. This moves me deeply. Thank you Yvette and every musician involved. Blessings to you all.
Cool guitar tones! May I know what do you have on your pedalboard? That chkrus and delay sounds heavenly! 😊
Love the asian violin players ❤❤ so beautiful my type.. reminds my crush in the college september 2013 .. She's wearing formal black uniform i love the elegant vibes combine gothic scene.. art is everything
Sorry bad english
Absolutely amazed, as always! Can't help with much money, but count me in if you want someone to mix it completely free of charge! Would be an honor.
No music sheet? What a showoff XD jk
The Vox and the YY10 really sits well in the mix in that chamber, and what a moving and cinematic composition! Can’t wait to see the next few
Beautiful piece, but also- I want whatever the conductor's having!
I've been a fan of Yvette's since I was 15 years old, something about the way she strums a guitar just makes you feel like you're in stardew valley ✨
I just had a panic attack, this was good, I am back on earth again, thank you young, as always, stay never-endingly inspiring.
Yeaahh yvette! From emo she can bring expensive orchesta music more colorfull!
After a bit I decided to just close my eyes and stop watching the video but listen. Genuine goosebumps. I think this composition + animated video would be an amazing thing.
this is really awesome and unique. this seems like kinda a straight up string section... would be neat if you did your tapping guitar-piano thing with an orchestra, just replacing the piano with your guitar.
This was the fucking greatest thing i've ever seen, reminded me of acloudyskye his style is similar this and I love it.
I would worship Yvette before I’d ever consider worshipping a god.
I’ve been waiting for this for MONTHS
Orchestra and guitar, like a modern girl and boy skating or even parkour inside a church, elegant and energetic.
Absolute magic, I tell you. This brought me to another place and very few things can. Thank you Yvette
I was recommended this channel by Dick McRockman.
Wow, I don't know how else to describe it other than it felt like returning home. It was breathtaking, thank you, Yvette, and everyone else who contributed to bringing this wonderful piece to life!
I was the 666th person to like this and RUclips can never take that away from me.
I can't get enough of Yvette. keeps blowing me away
My wife's worked with Dr. Peter Askim as an oboeist for years so this was crazy to see his face pop up lol
I hope I can catch the next live performance in person!
Wonderful tune Yvette! It was a magical evening to be there for the performance, and it’s so cool to finally see HQ footage of it!
It's not every day that music brings tears to my eyes, but this is one of those days. Thank you for sharing this beautiful first installment, Yvette. :)
We're hitting Steve Vai levels of grand orchestration.
Damn. Tom Cruise is a talented orchestra director too. What can't that man do 😂
Beautiful Performance🥲Thank You.
Very beautiful music! I received emotional pleasure! Thank you! I'm staying! You are all very beautiful! Great! Fabulous! I wish you love and happiness!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Absolutely stunning composition and so rich and full of emotion. Would love to hear more of this sort of thing.
If you’re watching this I love you so much 💖
Wow, this made me pretty emotional. I guess that says it all.
AC15 to not blow the string section away
...
beautiful piece with great use of dynamics
so peaceful 😢❤i love you so much from Indonesia
That was absolutely beautiful and so therapeutic! Best to you Eya!
Sorry, I didn’t see this until now! Thank you so much, Mr. Roth!!
the orchestra really leveled up your music. it sounds divine.
Absolutely divine and uplifting 🌟🌟🌟🌟🪽🪽🪽🙏❤️
Yvette you are a rare gem very few artists have taken me on a journey of my own feelings while listening to yours. Amazing!
been my morning tune to jumpstart my mornings. really excited for the studio recording, can't wait!
It would be super amazing if you collaborated with Hammock! They are the most emotional band I've ever heard
I adore them so much
yess stoked to see the performance uploaded!
she listened to Lord of the Rings sound track 😂
Beautiful compositions!
another absolute banger from Dick McRockman
😂😂😂
From this alone, I bet you give excellent guitar lessons and grow amazing facial hair!
Props for taking a risk and branching out artistically.
A nice piece, but the conductor was a bit much.
damn made me cry, that is serene
What beautiful music! Incredible orchestration!
Its too early for all of you to be making me cry 🖤
Wow...how can you NOT donate after hearing this? This is amazing. You're amazing Yvette!
Oh this is so sublime!
The composition is an enchantment and the conductor is a magician.
Amazing Yvette!
Love this!!! Right out of a fantasy dream!! It definitely gives me a Makoto Shinkai movie vibe specifically "Your Name". ❤❤❤❤ It left me wanting for more. Literally felt my emotions deconstructing 😭
Wow. Just... Wow.
I'm not crying you are... 😢😅
This is amazing, beautiful, so full of life and soul I'm glad I came here.
after listening three songs, I applause really loud in front of my computer first time in my life, thank you really!
Yvette. Unstrung..
I loved it, and I held nothing back(tears). It was extremely joyful!
really hearing some post rock vibes in this one. also, I love the juxtaposition between the new sparkly green guitar, and the old classical violins.
Thank you so very much.
absolutely stunning.
Seeing this live in NY was incredible. Transcending. I never knew there were so many moves to conducting, he looked like he was fighting Voldemort 🧙🏻♂️🪄🙃
🤯🤩 So serene, gorgeous playing. Neat looking guitar too.
Beautiful and moving. This from an extreme metal head. Fantastic!
Goodness yes. I love the change in intensity from the full group swaying to one or two parts being passed around. Just astounding work by everyone. Going to the funding page now, because that will sound incredible.
This is drop dead gorgeous! A beautiful musical story that flows and soars. I was carried along by each note. My heart is so happy right now. Thank You. ☺️💛
Well.. I didn't expect to start my day weeping into my oatmeal.. but here I am.
Can’t wait for Embrace Your Power!!
So far my favorite piece of the Next Fest story pieces you wrote! Keep it up Yvette! Can’t wait for a new album!
You were also my #1 Artist on Spotify Wrap Up lol
damn, already reached the donation goal.
beautiful song!!
Some of the crunchiest cellos I’ve ever heard and I mean that in the best way possible. That was awesome 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
maaaaaan this is fire. im already a big sucker for post rock type stuff and i love math rock so this is perfection
Beautiful. How did you get Matt Damon to play violin and Jim Carrey to conduct?
My biggest regret of the year is not catching your performance in Chatham NY. It's like 1/2 from my house, but car troubles prevented me from going. I'm so sorry I missed it.
I love this little piece when you first played it on a pedal review, I can't believe you actually made a full song out of it, with an orchestra too.
It sounds beautiful, thank you for fleshing out this piece and giving it the attention it deserves.
You’re awesome Yvette ❤
Way to McRock, man.
The music almost starts off like a collab between you and Ali - it’s similar in composition to what I hear in his music. But then builds into something that’s so uniquely you. Spectacular! Goosebumps. ❤
tears, its just so good.
Ty for making this, a good time for ears, brain and soul.
Peace
