What the sweet fuck was this random heavy French accent cropping up arbitrarily? 😐
PC version has been out for two years and has been rock solid for me in ~400 hours of play across two computers and three GPUs
My favourite game :)
I bought this thinking this was story type missions with bosses etc but the research and constant enemy spawning is to much for me while I love the combat being overwhelmed and waiting for extraction is annoying. It's like xcom all over again without constant permadeath...
you have the permadeath activable at the start of the campaign
How do you think this is a fantastic game and in some aspects way better than XCOM 2. However I do have to say that I'm getting random crashes and at times it's getting quite annoying. Aside from the constant crashing I'm having a blast playing it more than I ever did with XCOM.
It helps that it tries to make the combat the center point and the management a side Hustle. And while there is still a doom counter which I hate in these types of games, it is a little bit more forgiving than XCOM is. How to feel like while you can't color the units you can definitely make them feel like your own.
It's very rare I find a turn-based game that's not a classic pixel Final Fantasy that I feel is fast-paced enough and just the right amount of difficult, but they nail the visceral combat and progression in this game.
However to anyone who's looking to get into this game especially on PS4, wait a few weeks before getting the game. Aside from the crashes nothing else seems to be wrong, controls are fine and performance is great, but the crashing can lead to some frustrating and rage-inducing moments. Especially if you're struggling on a mission and are about to win. The game does have a autosave system but it's a hit or miss if it actually auto-saves where you were precisely.
i think it's a great game, but one of those where you really need to make certain upgrade choices early, but of course how could you know that, i had to restart half way threw.
what would you change ?
I dont know but i love the game, maybe how you extract seeds so it's not only on crit hits.
Well, from this video it seems like a tactical game, but absolutely not a strategy.
